Christmas Countdown - 2011

Good evening,

Well, we had our first thunderstorm since last weeks tornado, it was pretty scary for a while the lightning was amazing. Work moved along pretty slowly today even my lunch break seemed to take forever. The Bruins tied up the series tonight so it's down to a best of three now. Go B's!

Glad you and the kids are ok. I'm sure it was pretty tense. I watched the weather this afternoon and thought about you.

Have I told everybody that streaming netflix is the best thing ever????? I'm a huge WWII buff and I'm watching WWII in HD. Amazing. Not the footage, but the sacrifices of all soldiers. Not just ours....all of them. One of the biggest regrets I have to this day is that I didn't serve my country for 4 years. I admire all of them (and those of you here who have).

Isn't it funny....once we know the area where we are from....when i watch weather...I'm like....Crown lives there....Made lives there....CAH lives there...funny....I know what all of our weather is....does anyone else do that?

Wow! What a party last night at the Pines! Carl spiked the coffee...tea...maybe even the fired twinkies.

Gonna be a hot one today. Going to hit 100. It's just June 9!! Wish we could get some relief. Maybe rain will come this weekend!

My kids are nuts - they LOVE grocery shopping, especially my 3 year old! He loves helping me pick everything out! Noel (9 months) is starting to get excited, too.. mostly b/c he gets a snack while riding in the cart!

1,000 degrees today!!! I kid, but it feels like it! We don't have central air so I have all the window units on and I'm pretending we have central air.. it feels nice in here! (Maybe not so nice when we get the electric bill, sheesh!)

What is "on tap" today? (Sorry, it's Philly Beer Week and my hubby works in a brewery so I have beer on the brain ,ha!) We're staying inside, hiding from the sun, all day. Friends coming over with DONUTS this am, yahooo!!! Thinking of what to make for dinner that does't involve the oven... and wondering if I'll ever see my honey again! Beer week = lots of events and late nights.. I miss him! But I'm all caught up on my trashy TV that he won't watch, hehe!

Ok, time to drink some coffee and play "cars and army men" - not sure what I'm supposed to do with these things but Jude seems to think this is the best "game" EVER! Boys...

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Everyone here at work is looking at me like I'm crazy. I'm wearing one tennis show and one flipflop 'cause the broken toe still hurts. It's a little better today, though.

My little girl is the best. She kept checking on me, making sure my foot was in a comfortable position, bringing me lemonade, etc. Did I mention she's the BEST?

I used to give my kids each their own list for groceries, they had to find the item, and then figure out which was the best price. Had a lot of fun with it. My son said the other day that he can not just pick up something, he has to carefully check it out for the best deal!

I got you beat, it's 1001 degrees here! =)

We have central air and window units in the bedroom. I shut off the central air at night and just turn on the window unit in our bedroom. Our room actually stays cooler with it than using central air alone.

I love kids when they are sweet like that! My kids and grandkids have done that for me. It's so awesome!

I know the pain, I hope you get to feeling better!
