My granddaughter will be over a little later this morning so I got to sleep in! We will probably go to the gym today then head home to listen to some Christmas music and catch up on some cleaning.

I will need some Christmas music, the temps are jumping back up to 106 today! No more opening up the windows for the next several days. Time to put the ac back on. =(

I just found out that we have Friday off this week! The boss ordered new carpet to be installed Friday, and we all get a paid day off. Whee! The weather's supposed to be cooler too. I need to find a quick day trip destination!

The job offer! I had to do a bunch of online tests and passed with flying colors. They called me this morning and I go in for an interview for 9:30am tomorrow! Wooo! I'm going to really sell myself to them. I NEED a new job. Hows everyone's day going? Its Pinesday tomorrow! Carl said something to me about a special surprise? What could it be?! Well back to work I go. Have a great day all!

going christmas shopping on thursday, planning on buying 1 present a week from now until december.

my little princess will be 2 next friday, time has just flown. i was sorting through her newborn baby clothes the other day and i'll admit it brought a tear to my eye, now i have a toddler with an attitude! cannot wait for this christmas with her, she is going to love it

I don't know if I'll get a chance to post tomorrow. My brother's girlfriend is having surgery tomorrow morning at Hilton Head Island, and I feel like I need to be there for them. She's pretty young, early 30's, and has breast cancer. I'm sure she'd appreciate a prayer sent her way!

Great to hear from you. I am potty training Dylan and he is a hand full. I know what you mean by attitude. They are so cute but darn they are difficult at this age!

Also dealing with potty training Dylan and the terrible 2's has hit him hard. His favorite word is NO..and he also likes to kick, hit anything he can do to get his way. what's with the attitude with these toddlers?! we just have to remember it gets easier, it's just a phase. i'm also potty training at the minute, it's challenging to say the least, but the overwhelming pride i feel when she poops or pees on the potty makes it worthwhile

I already know how to crochet. I sorted through some of my yarn last weekend. I have to finish an afghan that I am doing in hunter green, burgundy, and cream. It is WAY too hot here to work on it!!

Have you ever roasted them with a sprinkle of sea salt and a drizzle of olive oil? They are so yummy that way and it is quick, easy and fairly mess-free!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!! It is going to be a hot one here in central Indy. We are slowly racing towards a high of 90 and then tomorrow we should see a high in the 60's. Hopefully my cold doesn't come back. I just got over the cough yesterday. I have some more work to do today. I started off with a bang yesterday but I kind of slowed down after lunch. So I didn't get everything done. My youngest niece is also coming in to stay the night tonight. My sister has a doctors appointment early tomorrow morning so I'm just going to keep her all night instead of getting up at 6am. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a half day at work today so I've come home put a few Christmas songs on whilst I tidy around the house and also noticed it's almost less than 100 days til the day itself

Since both my girls have moved out, my son and I have been rearranging the whole house and getting rid of tons of stuff! Christmas music is a great way to keep a person moving!

On a side note...Last year a few neighbor ladies from the lake & I went to a Holiday open house in a quaint little town last year. We all said we want to go again this year. I just rec'd an email about the Holiday Open House. It's Nov. 17-20 this year. Soooo, I sent the link to all the girls. Not even 5 minutes later I had an email back from one of the girls saying "TOOO EARLY!" BAH HUMBUG!!!!

Bah Humbug is right !! People think I am absolutely crazy when I tell them it is ALWAYS time for Christmas !

Good afternoon, Christmas family!

I am so tired this afternoon - not even coffee is keeping me awake. Lots to do yet today from working to making pear pickles. I found an old cookbook at a garage sale and in it was a recipe for the pickles - I have to try it out!

I am going to listen to some of my favorite Christmas CDs today - before I know it, I will be dancing around the kitchen!

I must be VERY lucky! My granddaughter who was born right around the same time as Dylan, is taking to potty training easily. In fact, that is all she wants to do 24/7 is go potty! She wants to try all the time and half the time nothing happens. She is even trying to potty train her baby doll! Ha ha!

I know the frustration, however, because I had a time with my son when he was little. Try not to fret, they won't stay in diapers forever and if Dylan is not ready now, maybe you can back off a little and wait a few weeks to try again? I feel your pain though! I hope he gets potty trained soon! cheesy

I wish I could say that it is another beautiful day in Ottawa, but overcast and wind gusts have put a damper on that. At least the temperature is still in the mid 70s. Today, I guess I will continue my job search and then go to the gym....

In regards to the count, I knew there was some significance to this day. Exactly two months until the beginning of the Christmas Season?! Exciting! Since I've been on-and-off from here for a while, I haven't had as many itches to do anything Christmas, but I am sure they will arise quite soon. I think I'll be able to hold off on the Christmas music until then... but the movies, those are going to hard to stray away from!!

In other "close to the season" news - Red Lobster has begun its Endless Shrimp promotion! I have taken full advantage of this for many years and plan to do it again this year. Last year, I can recall going at least three times. Each time, I had at least eight plates of shrimp. This time, I think I will attempt to break my previous record of 11. Come on, 14! It's a lot easier going after a nice, hard, and long workout.
