And Happy Halloween to you Made !!! xo I love this song !!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!!! We currently stand at 43 degrees here in central Indy on our way to 60 today. I have some errands to run today and then I will head out to my sisters house to hand out candy tonight. We are getting more kids moving into my apartment complex so I'll also leave a bowl of candy on the porch before I leave. One of the errands I have to run is dropping my laptop off at fedex to send back to HP. I'm going to be lost without it. I still have the desktop but it's not as convenient. So I'll still be around but not as much as normal. Especially since I have to babysit the next 2 days. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We never get trick or treaters on my street....I really miss handing out candy to the little ones.......Have a wonderful Halloween ! xo

Thanks for all the hugs and good thoughts! Our power is back on this morning, so we can sleep at home tonight. I feel bad for the folks who will have to wait several more days to get their electricity back. I heard someone from New Hampshire say that they weren't expected to get power back until this weekend. 24 hours was enough for us. Wondering if we'll get any trick-or-treaters tonight? We're ready with candy if they do.

I am so glad your power is back !!!! And the hugs are no problem cos' you're such a huggable Christmas friend ((HUGS)) xoxo

I'm worried about him, too ... I hope nothing worse than a power outage is keeping him from posting. About half a million across the state are still without power this morning. The news says it's taking so long because it's neighborhood-to-neighborhood, and sometimes house-to-house, work to find and repair all the damage.

UPDATE: As of 9 a.m., 98.77% of Monson was reported to be without power. So xmas365 is almost certainly without electricity.

I have a very good friend who I talked to yesterday that lives in South Hadley mass. Now when I call it goes straight to voicemail. I am not familiar at all with the state of mass as far as where things are,I just know he lives about 45 minutes north of Hartford Conn(where I fly into when I visit him). so I think its smack in the middle of the state. Anyhow when I talked to him yeterday he was without power but they were staying at home, and waiting it out. was that part of the state hit worse than where you are Merrycarey?:?

Happy Halloween, everyone! I'm leaving work now to finish moving things around in the yard. We expect 300+ visitors any time after 4:00, so I'll talk to you all tomorrow. Have fun!

Just checked Google Maps---South Hadley is a bit west of the center of the state, and there are still extensive power outages in that section. The NWS snow maps show that that part of the state got about a foot of snow, more or less. So they got socked with much more snow than we did. We're about 30 minutes' drive west of Boston (what they call MetroWest), in the eastern part of Mass., and we only got an inch or two of snow, but it was wet and heavy enough to cause a lot of havoc with trees and power lines.

At the top of the mountain we stopped to let the kids play in the snow...and me, too. Later, we went into Pigeon Forge, TN and accidentally stopped at The Incredible Christmas Place.
Accidentally???

I have not been on here in about 3 weeks. Are you having a big Halloween event?

Thanks! I got a text and yeah he is without power or internet. My gf is from Wellesley,Ma that is her folks still live there and they have power and just were without it for a few hours I think. Around here we just loose power during hurricanes.and it's hot,up there you guys willl freeze when you loose power.Either way it's not fun Im sure, but Im glad you have power now.

Just getting in from work, and what a day! I am so glad it's over with. I am ready for November to start up! The kiddies around here start ringing the door bell around 530 a few at a time like a trickle, but from 630 on till 9 is a steady stream I don't even close the door or walk away I just sit out on the front patio there are so many of them,I just hope I don't run out of candy! have a good afternoon everyone!

Evening. It's Halloween and my suburb is like a ghost town. I don't celebrate Halloween, since it's not popular in Australia. Right now, I'm watching Paranormal Activity. Not scary. I mean, I love horror movies, but what I am watching right now doesn't scare me one bit. Just about to jump in the shower. Getting ready for a night of relaxation. Ciao.

Wow, not scared by the Paranormal Activity movies? You are a rarity! lol They scare the crap out of me...the suspense of knowing something is about to happen but you don't know what is the scariest thing to me!! Hope you have a great relaxing night!

Oooo send some of those bats over here, JOHNOR! lol Hope you guys had a great time tonight! What did your daughter dress up as?

I'm still having trouble with Mouse and Palmer getting along. The cage idea is a good one - they can smell each other and see that they aren't a threat to one another. Gunner might be feeling alienated. Even though it has been over a year, his routine is all messed up and I know from experience that dogs and cats love routine. You both need to spend more time with him - he feels that his place has been taken over and he will need a lot of reassurance that he is still loved!!! Another thing to do is to wear clothes that smell like Sangria when you do spend time with him; if she sleeps on a blanket, put that blanket in the cage with Gunner. He needs to get used to her scent mingled with all of the your scents. Good luck!!!

It is actually the opposite...since Gunner is out in the main living area, we are most of the time out with him, leaving Sangria in the bedrooms. Which is fine by her since she sleeps most of the time anyway. I tend to go back there with her when I see that she's awake. So it's not that he's alienated...and it's just something that came up in the last week. We could see if he had been acting this way for a while, but it's just very recent. They have both smelled each other a bunch...the gate is semi-open and has a little cat door, so they have been nose-to-nose (or sometimes claw-to-nose, haha) very often. I like your ideas though about putting a blanket Sangria sleeps on in his cage...maybe that will help. We really think the issue is that he, as a hunting dog who has never been used for that purpose, is very quick to run at anything smaller than him, and that scares her. Unfortunately if he hasn't learned to stop that by now (and he doesn't listen to us or anyone who tries to teach him), he'll never stop, which means they will never get along. :(

As for the NFL I'm just hoping the colts lose every game and then take Luck with the 1st draft pick.

Unfortunately it looks like our team will do that just. Do you think they'll end up using Peyton later this year when he's ready to come back? Or wait until next year when they can come out with a bang?

We had a great time in the mountains! It rained on us Friday, so we stayed around the house and had homemade soup.

Saturday we rode the Blue Ridge Parkway, then crossed the mountain into Tennessee. At the top of the mountain we stopped to let the kids play in the snow...and me, too. Later, we went into Pigeon Forge, TN and accidentally stopped at The Incredible Christmas Place. I LOVE THAT PLACE!! They had a lady hand-painting ornaments...from the inside! She had a skinny brush with an angled bristle, and she painted the most beautiful scenes; snowy scenes, nativities, etc. Mama bought us a beautiful nativity scene ornament!

Sunday, on our way out, we stopped at Lake Junaluska to feed the ducks our leftover bread. The kids a great time doing that. There must've been 200 ducks & geese!

Sounds like you had a great time! Welcome back!! =)

I need some advice.

A couple of times this month (most recently was last Thursday) I would seethis white Cadillac drive down a popular street. What made it stand out was the fact that the driver was wearing one of those Jason Ski masks and dark top! It scared the crap out of me both times!

Advice part? Should I call the police and tell them what I saw? I'm 95% sure I have the correct license plate tag because last Thursday I made sure to take a good look at it. I don't know if I should report what I saw or what? :-(

if it scares an worries you then call the police. (non emergency #) Better to report and it be nothing than the other way around.

trick or:devil::boo:treaters arriving! They are so cute!!!
We have strobe lights and spooky sounds going (on motion sensor)

That is great. Glad to hear that you and your daughter are having great fun with it! Such a great tradition that must be carried on forever.

Good evening, everyone!

Had a somewhat busy day at work. I live in an apartment, so I have no trick-or-treaters. Too bad, but I hope kids everywhere have a wonderful time tonight. The weather here is beautiful and perfect for everyone.

I saw my first Christmas commercial as we enter the 2011 Christmas Season... finally! It was a Pringles commercial! The weird part is that I do not recall - ever - seeing a Pringles Christmas commercial before. It was a pleasant surprise!

Good Monday Halloween morning, my Christmas friends!

I wasn't able to get online while we were away, so I've been trying to catch up on this thread since noon last Thursday. I have tried to skim closely, and I hope I haven't missed anything important. Please let me know if I have.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Welcome back, Brad!! Sounds like you had a wonderful time with your family. I am sure that mountains were beautiful as always!

PS I hear Carl is trick or treating tonight! Keep an eye out!

Has Carl taken off his costume from the 'Pines last Wednesday?!
