cm3- it's kfc thats making life difficult.. I honestly am Thinking about going back too school.. time to get my life on track, ya know?! Although kfc does pay more and has benefits, it's really not worth it anymore for the things they put me through.

britt i'm sorry to hear of how you're being mistreated @ work. as far as school, i've thought that myself. you're a pretty smart cookie so i know you'll figure out what's best for you!! thinking of you!:!!

I think I will come down with the flu. I have a sore throat since yesterday evening and now I'm also hurting at my back and neck and have a bad headache. No suprise really as half of my coworkers just recently were sick or are still on sick leave.

cc-oh i do hope you're not coming down w/ the awful flu. try some extra vitamin c & drink lots & lots of fluids. listen to me?? i sound like a doc huh? no, just a friend worried about you!! take care cc.

off to work in a few. daughter had a friend over last night. it's a school night but her rents are out of town. now the rest of the weekend there will be 2 girls over. ooohhh boooy! they can be so much fun to listen to & be around though. all their little dramas & such. tee-hee-hee!

gabulldawg, you have insomnia but i on the other hand have sleep-apnea, so with the extra hour this weekend i'll be loving it! have you ever been to a doc about your insomnia? that can really take its toll on your body over time. just a concerned friend!:!!

@Merrymistletoe: Thanks for your concern! I drink lot of fluids (just got another big water bottle) and I also take medicine against the sore throat. Normally I get better very fast, all I need is a couple hours of good sleep and some medicine.

My feet hurt and I'm tired, but it's the right kind of tired, and we got quite a few items crossed off the list.

That kind of tired is the best kind. I become jealous of little kids who run and run full of energy all day long and just suddenly become tired and go right to sleep! I tend to lay for quite a while before I can finally fall asleep even though I am exhausted!

Wow!!! I just realized that I passed 30,000 posts today.

Bradmac and everyone, Yes, I am still here although it is difficult to see. My eye surgery went well, but I have to put antiseptic cream on and in my eyes. I still have to have ice (eyece???) packs, but the swelling is not too bad. If the surgery had been done on Monday, I would not have needed a mask!!! My rotator cuff surgery is getting better, but it is taking me long to bounce back, having NOTHING to do with age!!! I will be happy to get back full time and visit with everyone!

It is so very good to see you on here, Seawaters! I will keep you in my prayers!!!

It's Friday again, and no cruddy weather expected this weekend! It's been a busy week, so I'm hoping for a slow Friday. This week there's been very little time to sit down and relax. I'm hoping to do a little of that this weekend, since we gain an hour by turning back the clocks. Maybe some movies in our basement screening room, with hot buttered popcorn ...

Brit and CM3, you mentioned about Walmart and bad stories. I have something really nice to say about Walmart. When my dad was semi-retired he worked as the door man there for 5 years. My grandmother, his mom, passed away (8 years ago). We were pleasantly surprised by Walmart's generosity. They brought over a huge dinner from their deli of friend chicken, potato salad, rolls, dessert and a few other things to feed the family after the funeral. Not a fancy meal but it was very nice of them so no one had to cook. There was so much food that we had plenty of leftovers. I will never forget them for that. Some of the employees that delivered it still work there.

I have also heard bad things too but this nice gesture stands out for me. cheesy

That is a very good point CAH! Things like that mean everything in times of sorrow. I know I was simply embarassed and quite frankly hurt when I lost someone in my family my brothers and sister's employers (one of which was in bankruptcy at the time) still sent flowers and the other sent food,but I did not hear a word from the USAF..I have just told myself it was an oversight and moved on...but things like that do mean alot!
