Im going to suck it up and do my best to be a good friend...yall pray for me and his family too..I will check back in on you guys tonight when I get home!!!
@CM3 thank you so much for your prayers and thoughts....everytime I take snowball out like last night at 1am,i think about if you are taking yours out then too.lol! You are the sweetest!!!

If you don't mind me asking, but who has passed away? I am very sorry you have to go through this, on top of your dearest parents accident. Nothing but love and happy thoughts flowing from me to you at such a hard time :(

Morning y'all!!!

thought I would write something here and to anyone I missed forgive me!! Just trying to make at least one person laugh today! So here it goes........

twas almost a month before Christmas and all Thu the forums,
everyone was excited, as Crown 84 counts em down for us!
Jeff was busy with a new pod cast,
and was havin fun wholeheartedly,
RJD, Jayish and CJ498 was spinning tunes,
for our World's Largest Christmas Party.
MerryChristmasTV and DvdGuy made sure we watched what we wanted,
as George Broderick, Jr. drawed us.

MerryCarey,Christmas-A-Holic, merrymistletoe, and Christmasstar
strung tinsel and holly all around the room,
when from outside we all heard a big BOOM!!

We all ran to the windows and threw up the sash
and we saw the front of the Pines had became hash!
thanks to made582, Undrtakr and gabulldawg who,
tried to make a fire, and used gasoline too!

Rodmonster was laughing, Maureen was shaking her head
as AuntieMistletoeDear Yelled "We'll make the smores over
the fire place instead!

Chef Matt and Seawaters was baking away as
Spyells, shellie12 and kerstig wrapped more presents without delay.
Caninemom3 and snow in texas was stringing popcorn for
the tree. Michelleloveschristmas, judesmama and Mumof2
was caroling away in sweet harmony!

JanaBanana and One Spoiled Brat put the tree up,
Bradmac said "I have eggnog, anyone want a cup?"
Elf Ernest grabbed some, Santa did too and when
kekemapa35 got hers she smiled and said "thank you!"

As for me lilnoelelf, I looked around in awe,
looking from the tall to the small.
as Santa turned and bent down to whisper in my ear
"this is what it's about, being with "your Christmas family"
spreading cheer 24/7 365 days out of the year!

Hope y'all have a blessed day see ya this evening!:yahoo:

This was very cute and thoughtful! It made my day!

I came across this on Youtube the other day: It is a video/slideshow of my town before and after the tornado. It brings a tear to my eye to see it on how we were before June 1. As you watch my house (you don't see our house in the video) is less than a quarter mile from the First Church and Library, and it shows the High St railroad tracks, my street is just off of High St. It really just missed us, if you were looking out of our front window, you would have seen the tornado going across the top of the mountain.

Thanks for sharing this video. May you guys continue to rebuild and flourish well.

I've been fighting a cold/flu for over a week, and it finally won yesterday. I ended up thinking it was just allergies, but sadly no. I wish I was home & in bed under the covers. I feel like a zombie.

I hope you're feeling a little better, Snowflake!

And vacation-we're going away for a few days right after Thanksgiving. We're going to Pennsylvania to visit places like Christmas Village, Roadside America, and The Kristkindlmarkt in Bethlehem. We stay up in "farm country", and it's beautiful riding around and looking at the early Christmas lights.

Enjoy your vacation over Thanksgiving!

And I got another full time job :)

Congrats! You're going to be one busy girl!

Just applied for a Christmas temp job at our local boots, fingers crossed I get it. Could really do with that little bit of extra money this year

Hope you get/got the job! Keep us updated!

I found out a good friend of mine's mom has died and his family asked me to be a pallbearer friday night. It's sad when our parents are aging and dying! ugh...and i feel awful that is happening this close to the holidays too. I have about 30 minutes left at work then Im going to go home shower and head over to the funeral home or his house to see the family....have a good afternoon all!

Prayers to your friend and his family!

Just got home a short while ago from shopping. Going to turn on Hallmark, watch some Christmas movies, and wrap some gifts! :}

A busy day off---I've done most of what I set out to do today except RELAX.(Enjoyed hearing Christmas music being played in the stores!) The rest will just have to wait until sometime this weekend. I'm pooped out and ready for a cup of tea (or hot cocoa!) and a little rest.

gabulldawg
and vsclaribni, especially---I hope things are cheerier for you soon. I'm thinking of everyone who's stressed out, blue, and under the weather and wishing you the best.

I've got my Kindle Fire up and running, but haven't had a chance to really play with it yet. One disappointment, though---it won't play MCR2 ... :-(

Good evening. I am currently sitting beside my Christmas Tree with Kim and listening to my musical lights. It's a great evening. Here are a couple photos of the tree.

The tree is only 4.5 feet tall. Kim and I use it until we both return home to our families for Christmas. It serves its purpose very well!

A gorgeous little tree!

hey guys,

i'm back from chicago and i'm totally in love with the place. those midwestern manners were impeccable, the food was great (i've gained about 28lbs in 5 days!!!) the city and the building were breathtaking and it was so child friendly. i just love america and my ambition is to travel some of the bigger cities, i also want to travel canada too. next on my list is boston, seattle, san francisco, new york (been to manhattan and wasn't overly impressed but would like to give it another try) and alaska. a girl can dream!!!

some really sad news now... i got a phone call yesterday just as i was about to travel home... my cousin was found dead in bed on wednesday. he was only 41 and has left behind 4 beautiful sons. we are a very close family and as you can imagine we are all devasted. in less than 12 month i have lost my precious grandmother, my precious auntie and now my precious cousin. he has had ill health for a while but it's still a massive shock. please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers, we can't take much more of this truly terrible year. besides all this i still plan on making christmas 2011 the best yet, i'm going to make it the perfect ending to a devastating year and hopefully 2012 will be a great year for my family and i.

And with this post, ChristmasHeart is poster #25,600. For her efforts, she wins a laminated sign that says, "I survived Christmas Card Exchange 2011!!!" I might even add Santa's autograph!

WOOO-HOOOO and GOOD MORNING everyone!

I'm sooooooo excited! I just got the list for the Christmas Card exchange! Its gonna be so much fun to write Christmas Cards to everyone!!! I am going to start this weekend! YA! :busy:

Its finally FRIDAY...one day closer to CHRISTMAS!!! :sparkle:

Mind you...I want to savour very single moment of the Christmas season - so I don't want it to go by too fast!

I hope everyone is well - and have a MERRY day!!!

xo

Terrible news. Good luck with your Christmas preparations. With that spirit, I have no doubts that you will indeed make it the "perfect ending to a devastating year."

All the best to you and your entire family at this hard time.

Chilly here this evening. About 22 out about 2 hours ago and not sure what the temp is as I type this. We are getting snow. If it wasn't so dark I'd snap a picture. Looking forward to getting my MMC cookbook. Finished up my shopping for Thanksgiving dinner today. Hope you all have a nice evening and even better weekend!

About your trip to America. I'm glad you liked it. We just went to New York last month to visit the 911 Memorial. That was beautiful but Lower Manhattan was a bit chaotic! We also went to Central Park to see John Lennon's Imagine Memorial. That was nice. I said I wasn't sure what I thought about New York but I am like you and want to give it another try and see other sections of it. I loved some of it and some of it was a little too crowded for my liking. I am really glad I went though! I'm sure I would LOVE it at Christmas time!

We went to Chicago last summer and really enjoyed it. Busy city but wasn't too chaotic.

I really Really REALLY want to go to Alaska! I want to go on an Alaskan Cruise. We just went on a Caribbean Cruise last month and told my hubby Alaska is next! We will see, it does cost more than the Caribbean one so not sure about going anytime soon.

My other dream is to take a train trip through Canada!

Keep dreaming! Nothing wrong with that and eventually you will see all the places you dreamed of!
