I will fly to New York (first big journey and first flight ever) and will stay there for two days. After that I will be part of a bus tour from New York to San Fransciso. We will see Washington DC, the niagara falls, Chicago, the yellowstone, grand canyon, bryce canyon, Las Vegas and Los Angeles and some cities in between.

That sounds like a fun trip.

Wrapping, packages, and cards are pretty much under control. The wreath goes up Sunday for the first Sunday in Advent. The tree(s) may go up next weekend---the space is currently occupied by packages, etc., and I need time to check the bulbs and to replace the dead ones. I also have to put together an end table I bought to put my TV-room tree on; I haven't gotten to that yet, partly because of a backache since Wednesday. I also have some decos to put up outside---maybe later this weekend, maybe next weekend.

We don't do Black Friday shopping, but we did drive out a couple towns over to eat lunch out. Saw a couple cars with trees on top!

I've been in motion most of the day, and am about ready to sit down and relax.

got my outside decorations up, only to discover that the plug is not working. Also wanted to take a picture for you all but cannot find my camera. The tree is up, and the cat is in the top of it already.

Sometimes life is a sitcom, isn't it??

Good evening...I was going to wish you all a happy black Friday, but it's technically Saturday now! WOW where did this day go?? I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Ours was great...what a house full! Went black friday shopping with my sil, mil & niece to Walmart @ 10:00 then to Kohls. I did not care for that midnight shopping at all. The 5am mad rush was much more fun! :)

I got my tree up today! YAY!!! I still have Thanksgiving up & the tree doesn't have any decorations, but it has lights, garland & a topper! I just love it! Tomorrow is a big day with the Ohio State - Michigan game, so I probably won't have time to do much. I'm making cinnamon rolls for our neighbors in the morning, so I'm not sure when I am going to get this finished. Maybe tomorrow night I will stay home from the HS football game & git 'r done!?

Ok, enough rambling!! Sleep tight everybody!

Can't believe Thanksgiving is all over...let the Christmas season (REALLY) begin!!

Long, long, long day today! We got a lot bought, but we got more to go! Should be done by next weekend....won't that be nice?

Sorry, I haven't got to read today's posts yet, but I will in the morning. We haven't been home long....so I will have to catch up then. I hope everybody had a great day.

******** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 14 *******

Good Morning.

Wow!
Hard to believe after today we will already be 2 weeks through with Christmas Season 2011.
Time sure does fly.

What else is flying by?
Our remaining count, of course:
Days to Christmas Day: 29 (Hey, hey, hey. UNDER a month, now!)

Chilly here again, where we stand at 42 degrees.
No rain predicted and we should reach the mid to upper 60's by this afternoon.
Nice, for late November!

Much leftover turkey remaining?
Trying to think of new ways to serve it?
I'm sure Carl could come up with a few.
(Just don't let him start thinking about turkey and coffee at the same time!)

Have a Sensational Saturday, Folks!

Good morning, MMC!

I was going to go out and do some shopping today - it is going to be near 60 degrees and absolutely gorgeous out - but Palmer is not feeling well so I will stay home with her. New plans include decorating, finishing some gifts I am making, finishing up with my cards and listening to Christmas music or watching Christmas movies. I'm also doing a Christmas book reading challenge. It is now through Epiphany and I have quite a list I want to read. Have to finish a few books I checked out at the library first, though. If I haven't already mentioned it, the Chet and Bernie mystery series by Spenser Quinn is fabulous!
I almost forgot, have to work a few hours today, too. I had best get going or I will be late logging in!

Have a MERRY day everyone!!!!!

Good Morning all! I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! We traveled to see family and did not cook a meal this year. I miss not having leftovers. Have a great weekend!

Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

I haven't posted in a couple days, we've been so busy. I went Black Friday shopping with my mom. It wasn't too bad in Savannah, except at Best Buy. The line to checkout was zig-zagged through the aisles. By the time we got to Wal-Mart at 7am, it was a ghost town (and a mess).

I'm at Bernie's this morning, cooking breakfast and drinking coffee. I'm leaving early today to go back to Savannah with Nancy & the kids. They are having the Boat Parade of Lights in the river on River St. tonight, and I can't wait!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It is going to be a cloudy but warm day here in central Indy with a high around 60 degrees. We are supposed to get some rain though overnight along with a cool front that is going to cool it down into the 30's and we may even get some snow on monday. My apartment is a mess. There are bags everywhere and newspaper ads on every flat surface. So I'm going to spend some time cleaning up this morning and then I'll start wrapping. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

I went to best buy one year and spent 3 hours in the check out line. I decided that wasn't for me and stay away from there on black friday now.

One of my grandsons and granddaughter were both taken to the emergency room last night.

My daughter and son-in-law dropped off my oldest grandson to us in the middle of the night so they can take them. They both have flu symptoms. I just woke up and my daughter sent an email telling me that my 2 year old granddaughter's heart rate and respiration was off the chart and they were going to transfer her to Children's Hospital. They finally got it under control and sent them home.

She never told me the diagnosis and they are all asleep right now so I will find out when they wake up. I can't help but worry until I hear from them.

Prayers and thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Good morning guys, gals, and gender-neutral friends!

Woke up about and hour ago...sitting here reading posts, drinking coffee, and watching Santa Clause 2. Today holds wrapping, online shopping, and maybe even heading back to the mall (although I certainly hope not)!

Hope you have great day friends!

We're supposed to have a mild, sunny day today, which is good, because we have a few errands on the North Shore. Including going to Winfrey's for some locally made chocolates for Christmas! Last year they had a 40-pound chocolate Santa on display.

I love the long Thanksgiving weekend---having the Friday off after the holiday is like having two Saturdays ...

What a scary experience! I hope things are under control now. Prayers are going up.
