yeah i haven't said alot about ours (furbabies) but they are so much a part of our lives. Daisy is my toy poodle-she's blonde & all mine! Maggie is our choc.lab she's the sweetest, gentlest, & just adorable one, hubby claims her but she's mine too. Daughter has a rescue ,Mickey, part bassett part daschund (funny looking) but loves her to pieces & is very sad if she's not here, my son (19yr.old) has a rescue, Diva, believed to be part lab part pitt & maybe part dalmation. They all stay inside & we also have a white cat, holly, not a very nice cat but we love her.
:wiggy: Speaking of parties, I'll have to think of something special for O'Malley. His birthday is coming up on Friday. Wonder if he's ready for party blowers and a fancy hat?
It's official! I've hit 15,000 posts!
bummer!!!!All this talk about casts reminds me of two years after I had a cast removed from my arm. I kept it as a reminder to "be careful" likely my mom's idea. Anyway, for an April Fools Joke, I decided to slip the old cast on and head off to school to pretend I had a broken arm and since it was my left, I couldn't do school work. It was a bit out of my reach at the top of the clothes closet, but I thought I had a grib on it when I pulled it down. Ooops! It shattered and the plaster was everywhere.
Oh my AMD, hmmm, that April's fools joke turned!!!!
 Totally ruined my joke.
I had a major breakdown with Hubby tonight. I had to call my union rep to request sick bank leave for my cancer treatments. For some reason, everything came flooding in on me. Sorry to vent!!!
For the record, CAH and Made.....your videos are awesome!
You are right!!! Anticipation is wonderful!!!
Merry monday morning MMC!:
Just got into work. I'm feeling especially Christmassy this morning. Not sure why and because of this I have a challenge for some of you. If you have the day off today, and the time, I challenge you to watch a Christmas movie for those of us that can't. That way when can live vicariously through you:razz: Well more coffee to me, hope everyones day is fantastic!
I just organized another kitchen cabinet. This one had all the seasonings and baking goods in it. What a mess! All the other cabinets were easy but this one took a little time. I am glad I got that over with. Now onto another project!
With what you're going through, you're entitled to some venting! And it will be helpful to get some of it out of your system.
I hope you have a better experience with your workplace than I had with mine when I was dealing with treatment. I was out five days while they did tests to "stage" the cancer (determine how extensive it was so they could decide how to treat it), and my supervisor's supervisor helpfully reminded me that my five unscheduled days out of the office was cause for termination. (They didn't, though.) I was stunned---this was literally a matter of life and death! And they made me use vacation time for treatment days. The second time around I just cut the melarkey and took short-term disability. Bad memories. Now I will apologize for venting!
After cleaning out the cabinets in the kitchen I said I was onto another project. Guess what it was????? I laid down for an hour and watched TV. Not very productive but dang, I'm tired! I think the week finally caught up to me! I have been running non-stop all week and had a busy day at work yesterday. I also have a busy week ahead starting tomorrow.
Okay, I am going to attempt another project now that I feel rested.
Sometimes all we need is a little rest - and you had a busy week it sounded from your posts.'
Hey guys! I shared this in the prayer request thread, but thought I would share it here too if that is okay.
My cousin is a teacher and this is an article about one of her former student's siblings who is being denied a kidney transplant by CHOP because she is mentally handicapped http://theloadeddiaper.wordpress.com...to-disability/

Hubby and I went to Chico today to look at cabinets for our kitchen when it is remodeled. I am so excited. One of the units is a master chef area that is for spices and larger items such as olive oil and larger containers of spices, another one with pull out drawers and pull out shelves for regular spices, a cabinet with a double tiered lazy Susan, and a corner "appliance garage" for my Kitchen Aid mixer and other appliences. We will have several of those long pull-out drawers for pots and pans, a cabinet that will hold several cookie sheets and other baking pans, and a large 10 ft. island that will have our sink and dishwasher and more storage!!! Finally a place for all my kitchen stuff!!!
I am SSSSSOOOO jealous, you lucky dog!"!"
Hope Mr. feels better soon!

Here's a quick story about something that happened this morning. But first let me preface the story with a confession; I don't like cats. I never have. And my neighbors insist on owning cats that are free to roam the neighborhood. The problem is that they perfer to use my yard as their litter box, more recently they area around our pool. It really chaps my behind (pardon me!)
Anyway, as I was walking to my truck this morning on my way to work, I saw one of them on my pool deck, leaning over & drinking water from the pool. He was facing away from me and I snuck up behind him...AND YELLED LOUDLY!
He squalled and jumped straight out into the pool. This tickled me, because the outside temp was 33° this morning, and I got a good laugh about this cat getting dunked in nearly-freezing water. But then I decided I didn't want him to drown in my pool, so I went on the deck planning to pull him out. When he saw me coming, he hooked a paw over the side and pulled himself out...then took off like a bullet for home! Yeehaw!
Hopefully he learned a lesson about living (and pooping) in my yard!!!

Good evening, Christmas family
I just finished working about an hour ago....the last 24 hours has been moocho-crazy. I went into a tail spin of depression about something and sort of had a meltdown. Thank you to all who are on Facebook who offered their words of support and help and ((Hugs))....Because of you, I am better now !!!
Work today was the usual goober-laden Sunday. Tomorrow starts a sort of new schedule - I work 8.5 hours every night, off on Friday and then 6 hours Saturday, off on Sunday. I think it is going to be tough to get 8.5 hours in during the week but I will give it a shot.
