That it is, iliam. Here's a link to last season's thread (which has been closed to new posts). The new thread should open around the end of September, Crown willing. :D

Enjoy!

Thank you so much. I have some reading (looking at pictures) to get to!:???:

Now you reminded me of a story about one of my brothers. He managed to get his kazoo stuck on his finger so we headed for the hospital as it was cutting off his circulation and butter didn't make it slip off. We're waiting there and he's in a panic because he has too wait too long. The doctors in emergency are trying to figure out how to get the kazoo off without hurting my brother. Along comes the maintenance man and he cut it off right there in the waiting area. No harm done except to the kazoo. HaHa

This so funny! Did the doctors get paid or the maintenance man?

No prize? How about some of Mrs. Fogarty's Christmas Cake? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzdKDXGIues

I love this. Heard it first time on a podcast this season.

Awwww made me realize I still haven't watched this "this year." It's going on the priority list for this weekend.

My wife watches American Idol some but I don't care for it. We go to church on Wed nights so she missed most of the show. Except for sports and the new 'Last Man Standing' sitcom, we watch almost no network TV. We are very much a baseball family and watch the MLB network all year long. We also watch the history and military channels some plus the Hallmark channel during the Christmas season. During the MLB off season, a lot of our family TV time is watching old movies and old TV series. We are currently watching season 5 of Gunsmoke, (my Christmas gift).

I LOVE last man standing. I love Tim Allen, it reminds my of watching Home Improvement as a kid. Ahhh good memories.

Good morning all. Seems as though it was a good time at the pines and fun was had by all. The coffee sounded delish and so did the cake. I'm sad I missed most of the activities as I just dropped off for a moment. So it's Thursday, that means tomorrow's Friday which also means I'm happy. Can't wait for the weekend. Have a great day everyone, I'll see you on here later!:snowball:

I find that funny that we have digital cable but guess what Wayne and I watch every night before bed? M*A*S*H! We own the entire 11 seasons on dvd and we choose to watch that instead of whats on tv. We have already watched the 11 seasons all the through and started over after Christmas was over. I also have the old Bob Newhart shows on dvd. I love that sitcom too! The old shows are really good!

I went to post last night a BIG multi post and my wireless went down, we tried everything BUMMER!!! It is back up and running, but by the time we got it done I was too tried and went to bed... I will need to review the posts!!!

Today is clear and cold when I left for work it was 14 degrees... Brrrrrrrr.... But, it is getting better it is 20 degrees right now :)

I saw that and LOVE it CM3!!! way too cute!!!

Why yes Crown it certainly does!!!! Makes one smile at the world for the mere thought we are in the 2's!!!!!!

Oh my!!! Now that is something for sure, it makes me all warm inside, oh wait maybe that is this Espresso Blend Starbucks, or maybe a little of both!!!!

I am not a big fan of idol until they get down to the part when they are at Hollywood week. I did have it on but was flipping through the stations really, I have to admit I like these judges better, I didn't think I would, but I do, they just seem to make better choices. They aren't so nasty either, I never cared for Simon, and I haven't gotten into the X factor show, but I do like that one called the voice, OK Blake Shelton has ALOT to do with it, but it is pretty cool. So to answer your question, yes I watched some of it, but it is way too early to tell if it will be a good season or not, at least for me.

I was surprised at X factor as well. I thought it was going to do much better in terms of ratings.,I have heard some ppl say they like it better than Idol, others say not as much, but I did not watch at all. I liked Simon, sometimes he is harsh but some of those people do need to hear someone tell it like it is.lol Now sometimes he does go overboard but he usually gets it right. I guess I will start dvr'ing Idol, because that is all that comes on until Big Brother starts in July. I try to watch survivor too but by the time September rolls around I am too worn out because sept is when Big brother ends. With Idol I always wonder if this will be the final season or not. Over the years it has had some great moments.I never will forget that Sanjaya dude that went almost to the end! ahh good times. you could tell that upset simon alot.lol

I like Simon too and I miss him on Idol but I agree that he went overboard at times. I guess you could say I have a love/hate thing with him. Ha ha! He really wasn't as harsh on X-Factor and seemed to have a better balance with his critique and wasn't quite as rude.

I watched X-Factor but the problem is that it ran through the holidays and there was a lot on TV that I wanted to watch that was on at the same. It made it difficult for me to get into as much as I do American Idol.

After Idol is over in May I am done with competition shows for awhile. I just get worn out after all that!

We love both of those shows. The old shows were certainly much more "family friendly". We also watch 'Rawhide', 'Wanted Dead or Alive', and 'The Donna Reed Show' . Our son, Ethan, is name after a character John Wayne played in my favorite movie of all time, 'The Searchers".

Greetings friends from snowy central Illinois. I'm not complaining at all about the wintery weather as this has been a relatively mild winter. I work in public transit and weather can cause serious operational havoc so I'm counting my blessings in that regard. Yesterday I had some time so I scrolled through the 2009 Christmas countdown. I was like wow this thing sure has grown. It was so cool so see everyone at that time hoping for 8000 posts vs last year when 30,000 was the goal! And it was really fun to see the excitement that everyone was feeling as Christmas 2009 approached. This site never ceases to amaze me. Have a great day friends.

Spring like weather still going on here. We will reach almost 70 degrees today and almost 80 tomorrow.

What gets me is everyone around here are saying, "I sure wish spring would hurry and get here". Ummmm, what does it feel like right now? We need winter first! cheesy

We get mild temps during our "winter" but nothing like this!

I am sure we get get a blast of cold air soon and maybe some snow, I hope!
It's supposed to be in the mid-70's here for the next few days, too. :-?

I've heard good things about "Last Man Standing", but I haven't seen it yet. Tim Allen is great in just about everything he does.

Not enjoying this winter. We are forecasted to reach the mid 40's today then upper 50's with rain this weekend. Would much rather have cold and snow.

I'm living in the Twilight Zone!

We have lived in this house for 8 years and the light above the sink has never worked. The landlord came out to fix it and it worked for like "2 minutes" and never worked again. I forgot about it and never really needed it anyway.

Okay, this gets weird. I went to turn on the faucet and I felt a slight static shock and the light came on! It scared the crud out of me with this sudden beam of light shining down on me!

I'm with you there! I'm not enjoying this mild winter at all. We might get flurries tonight, but I want more snow than that! :snowball:

Hello all! I haven't been on here much lately. I was sick for a while but am feeling better other than just feeling plain exhausted. The weather has been all over the place and I think that makes me feel bad. I hope everyone is having a great week! Take Care!

Did someone say it was snowing?:) seriously they are having a snowstorm where my parents live in oregon, but my mom is here she is glad she is missing out on that. I have been there in Feb when they had about a 2ft freak snowstorm, but they live in a valley but you can see up in the mountains snow year around. they get about 2 to 3 good snows a year. This year has been a heavy snow year for them. I have accepted this year I will not see any snow, next year should be a much better and slower year to go travel in the fall and December to see snow. Tonight me and my sister and mom are going to go over to brandi's co workers to eat Dinner and visit with her and her husband. Brandi is getting exited about going back to work, they started a new semester on the 9th which means she got new students until the last day of school in May.It is hard to believe the end of the school year will be here before too long. She has decided to teach summer school this year too. She taught it the summer after her 1st year and that is where teachers really make better money. But then again she said the students are BAD at summer school she loves her kids during the rugular year where she teaches gifted kids Shakesperian Lit! Well I better finish up here at work so I can get out of here on time today...have a great afternoon everyone!

Oh yeah. I made myself really sick a few years ago, diagnosing myself on the internet. Turns out, the internet doesn't know as much as my doctor. :-?

NO NO NO! What do you mean! The internet is all powerful and is never wrong. cheesy

Did you get a bright idea at that time? cheesy

Should have him check it out again, make sure there is not an electrical issue going on.

Good afternoon,

I went and visited my grandparents today, they are doing well. My foot is hurting a bit today, I truly feel like I am going stir crazy being stuck here most days. Snow coming tonight, not much, but Saturday they are saying 6 inches with that storm.

Enjoy your Thursday!

You better get a real electrician. Sounds like the wiring may be grounding to the plumbing pipes somewhere.
