Funny, Brad!!!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's overcast here in southeast GA this morning, and a little cool for a change. I met with the insurance adjuster about Nancy's car damage yesterday. He says that if I take the car to the shop on Monday morning, they'll have it fixed by the end of the week. Nice! And just in time for my trip to the mountains!

Nancy's trying to get me to agree to buying a weight loss program called P90X. Ever heard of it? I never had, but lately everyone around here is talking about it. It's supposed to make you lose weight and tone your body in 90 days. It looks like an awful lot of hard workouts to me. And they say the diet is super strict. Can you imagine me with abs of steel? At this point, I'd be happy with abs of a sturdy cushion!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Hi all. Just getting back from going to eat. We decided to not take the kids to that party since they are both sick. We decided to just go out to eat instead.

I didn't get through very many of the posts today, so I will try to get through more tomorrow.

Alrightly, I am off to take a nap before work. Ttyl. Goodnight!

We should have great weather this weekend. Snow should start tonight with a low of 26. The forecast high Saturday is 28 with a low of 9 and a few inches of snow. My kind of weather!

My Mom's cancer may be back. They found a spot in her pelvic area. With her health and age, there is probably little they can do. As I have shared before, she has fought a brave 10 year fight with colon cancer including 4 major surgeries.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. We continue to pray for you Seawaters.

I will keep your family in my thoughts

This is weird, my arm is twitching just above and below my elbow. Does not hurt, just feels strange and looks funny, moving on its own like that. It has happened several times today. I think aliens are trying to make contact.

Not having too good of a day today.

The doctor's office called back and it was a nurse, the doctor wouldn't even get on the phone to speak to my mom. Basically she said there is nothing she can do and that was that. She told my mom that if she's having problems, talk to the surgeon, not her. How nice of her. [/sarcasm] Obviously we spoke to the surgeon first, as my mom tried to tell her before she called this morning.

My mom has had some health issues during the past couple of years, so apparently the new thing for her doctor to do is act like she is a hypochondriac and is imagining these symptoms. I thought doctors were supposed to be nice and have compassion for their patients patients. Doctors did the same thing to my grandma, always dismissing her problems just because she was older and sick.

And this rant does not pertain to all doctors of course...just in a bad mood because everyone is being so dismissive towards my mom when she doesn't feel right.

Hope you are all having a much better Friday than I am.

Doctors have too many gatekeepers. And it's difficult to be sure they are listening when you do get to talk to them. I'm glad we have a good doctor who listens to us. I dread his ever retiring. My previous doctor moved her office without letting me know!

That tends to happen to me when I am overtired. I hate that.

that is most likely what it is. I have been doing a lot of small stuff today. used my jigsaw for the first time to make the cake board the cake is standing on. Also doing lots of work on that cake it's got to look like a fire truck.

I think I will head off to bed and get a fresh start in the morning.

good night!

Good evening,

We are up here in the Ski resort area in West Dover, Vermont. It has not started out to well, my wife is sick, seems to be the same thing I had and JP had, or possibly food poisoning. I feel so bad for her, she has been looking forward to this for months, but we are trapped in our room when we had so many plans. I just hope she feels better for the wedding tomorrow. They are expecting snow here tomorrow, there is not enough on the ground for sleigh rides right now. We did stop at Yankee Candle Flagship Store on the way up here, bought a bunch of candles, and looked at all the Christmas stuff. I thought of you Made when I saw a Santa Claus dressed in a racing suit, holding a helmet. That place is awesome. We may stop at a new place called Kringle candle on our way home Sunday.
Also in front of the main building the have a large pine tree all lit up with white LED lights, I will be taking pictures tomorrow.

Have a great night!

That is so very true. You are so lucky that you have a doctor who listens to you. I used to have the best pediatrics doctor and I didn't want to stop going to him. Of course, you're forced when you hit a certain age. It seems that they care more than doctors for adults!

Jennifer,
I just have to say that I felt just like this, in a way, after my surgeries in October and November. I just could not seem to get my energy back. I was sort of getting depressed and just could not shake the lethargy. I finally went in for INT (intraveinous nutrient therapy), an IV with loads of vitamins and "stuff." It took over a week for THAT to kick in, and I have felt fine ever since. Maybe your mom could check into it.

There is one house with all their outside lights on and one house that still has the Christmas tree up. In Chico today, we saw one house that had four outside trees lit up.

Well, I don't think this will hurt the 'Pine's visit too much since you DO have to pay for the delivery while the first ones are free at the door.

And yes, Carl can deliver if there aren't too many orders at one time so long as no local laws are violated.
(Anyone know of any local restrictions on camels?)

The only camel laws I found in the USA were that it is illegal to hunt camel in Arizona ( I am sure that is a relief to Carl) and it is illegal to drive a camel on the highway in Nevada. Didn't see anything for any other state.

You all were talking about peanut butter flavored coffee, then made582 said about adding chocolate. Well how about a Reese's peanut butter cup flavored coffee?
