I need to start saving my coffee flavored jelly beans for Binger, I can't stand them. cheesy

Happy workweek, everyone! Ugh, it's 63F in the office this morning---the thermostat must have failed. I have a tiny little tabletop space heater, but it isn't helping much. I'll have to put my jacket back on.

I hope the Easter weekend was a good one for all of you.

A bit of a rough Easter for us. Mr.'s father is doing badly (his cancer is no longer treatable), so Mr. was there most of the day helping out until the visiting nurse arrived at 11 p.m. But he took a break so we could go out for lunch and watch some DVDs before he went back to wait for the nurse. It's so hard on Mr. and his mother and sibs taking care of his father and watching him slowly fail. The medication to manage my f-i-l's pain is making him confused, and he's not always aware of his surroundings; he drifts in and out of awareness.

But some good things are coming up this week: some legal proceedings that I hope will yield some good news, and our turntable/cassette/CD/radio is supposed to arrive this week to replace my dearly departed stereo system that died of old age. It's shaping up to be a busy workweek, including work coming up this weekend, so it's nice to have things to look forward to. And next Monday is a holiday for us (Patriots Day in Massachusetts---not everybody gets it off, but our offices close for the day).

I'm sorry to hear of your f-i-l, I will keep all of you in my thoughts.
I don't have Patriot's Day off, and of course I will miss the Red Sox 11am start, that is a fun game to go to, I have gone a few times, including a bitterly rainy cold game, but the way the season has started for the Sox, I don't know if would want to.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I hope everyone had a great Easter! Ours was good, but I'm full of boiled eggs for a while. Whew.

Later yesterday afternoon, Nancy's sister was hospitalized for a suspected blood clot in her leg (her report this morning was good, and she's being released), so Nancy spent the night in the hospital with her. I never sleep well without her, so I feel bad today...and we have customers coming for a plant tour in an hour. Ugh. I'm already looking forward to bedtime tonight!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Glad to hear she is better.

Hope everyone had a good Easter! has been a while since I posted....

Question for you...has anyone been to A Christmas Story House in Cleveland? I was in Cleveland about 3 years ago in November but didnt realize the house was there. We are going to Cedar Point in Ohio about a month from now and wondering if it is worth a side trip over to Cleveland to see it. Any thoughts???

I have wanted to go for a few years now, I know MerryNoel went some time ago, I think she posted pictures of it. I haven't seen her on in some time though.

I meant to ask when you posted about the spoon roast earlier, but time got away from me; but what is a spoon roast?

It is a top sirloin roast, if cooked properly you should be able to cut it with a spoon, which I failed this time around.

Well everyone, I am getting very tired. I think I am going to try to take nap until my little falls asleep for the night.

I hope everyone has a good rest of your night and you have great night tomorrow. Talk to you all then! Keep a smile on your face! cheesy

Good evening,

Work was not busy customer wise, but I had plenty of projects to keep me busy. Easter was a great day, JP woke up at 4:30am, so sleep was a hot commodity yesterday, we went to bed at 1am the night before. We went to bed just after 8pm because we were so tired Dinner was yummy, the sirloin roast tasted great, I cooked it too long though, the turkey was great, as usual. My m-i-l makes the best turkey. The Easter Bunny was great to the kids, they loved everything.

Day off tomorrow, got to get the house ready for my sister and niece and nephew coming up from S.C.

Have a great night!!

P.S. Snowflake, we have posted about everyone getting together a few times, we have even selected a place to meet: Santa Claus, Indiana. I would love to meet everyone at some point, it would be a lot of fun.

Xmas- I love your new sig pic!!!!

.Had scooby at the vets this morning. and the other vet thinks he has a hernia which i wood agree with more so.he give him a long acting antibobic and said if its appears agin he wood need surgury. well i knew that anyway but the thing is he is 10 and half years old
The vet could not beleive that he was as old as that as he said that he was in great shape and his heart was very good. Guess i must have done something right for him
I now have been checking and trying to figure out a diet to keep him from straining when going to the toilet as fibre will play a good part.
He does love porrage which is a fibre thing but hates veg !!
But now am alwyas gonna be looking everytime he goes to the toilet and guess its gonna be a day to day worry. i just feel at this minute i can never plan anything as i am the type of person that could not go and leave him but he will come first. but hes in great form and one good thing i can watch and will be able to see if the henera has got bigger.
So thats my ranting and raving over !!
Really hope all is good with you all and all your furbabies. and if your of today for easter have a lovely day and take care ..talk soon

((Shellie)) I have been where you are so often with my kids. I know EXACTLY how you feel, I think all of us here do. I will say special prayers for your baby xo

((Merry)) I am so sorry you and Mr. are having to go through such a sad time. I will keep Mr. and your F-I-L in my prayers xo

Brad I am so glad that Nancy's sister got good news xo

I sure hope they find out soon, Made. Have the done an MRI? I think Cm3 may have asked you about that, but I can't remember, sorry. Especially now that she is complaining of that constant headache, I would demand one. I will continue to pray for her and your family. As always and I know you will, keep us updated. Thanks.

I agree Sugar. I am not a doctor by any means but I have a gut feeling about this..........xo

*yawn*

*stretch*

*scratch*

Is it bed time yet? *yawn*

I hear you Brad ! This is me round about half way through my shift !

On Saturday, I was not able to tune in to the Greasy Skillet. That was Easter Vigil and the service lasts longer on that night than any other of the year. It is always a good service, though, as we welcomed new members into the church.

Holy Saturday Mass IS amazing xo

I go to the oncologist this afternoon. I am not sure if I will have my first chemo treatment or if we will just discuss our course of action. I guess I will know in a few hours. Have a great day, everyone.

Keeping you close in my heart Seawaters as we all are xo

.
Applied to a new seniors place here in town but got a reject letter
I have over 20 years experience as a PSW but because I do not have a piece of paper saying so, they will not hire me. I guess experience and excellent track record mean nothing these days.

I hear you about rejection Christmasstar ! You are an AMAZING person, so talented, so wonderful and beautiful.....Someone is going to get a gem when they get the smarts enough to hire you ((Hugs))

Yes they have. I guess there are 4 spots that are on everyone's brain and they usually show up gray. Her's where a bright white. The neurologisit didn't seem to worried about it though.

Gosh. I don't want you to be mad at me, Made, but if that neurologist isn't worried about something standing out like that on a LITTLE GIRL, I think there are other neurologists.....Those CANT be a normal finding.....xo

You know, Cleveland isn't that far from me and I haven't been there either. xo

I would LOVE to meet all our Christmas family....But I would be really shy....xo

I agree with you. I would have taken her somewhere else by now but my sister wants to wait and see what the neurologist says on the 17th.

Enjoy your day off today! I agree, it would be so much to meet!

So...I am sitting here and it's 4:30 my time and I'm laying in bed. DS got us up at 2:30 and I've been up since. I am posting from my IPhone, so I don't wake my DH up. I am hoping I will soon fall back asleep, but I don't know if that will happen or not.

Well, I am going to check the rest of the boards to try to make myself tired. Ttyl!
