Christmas Countdown - 2012

Hi *waves vigorously* !!!

My road to hell is extremely well paved with all my good intentions. Got up this morning planning to tidy and bake and all sorts of domestic goddess stuff and have ended up doing one load of laundry and took the dogs out for 2 walks. I'm now roughing it with a hot beverage and figuring out what to have for dinner. It was originally going to be salad and stuff but because it's sitting at freezing, I'm wanting something warm and comforting............I personally don't get that from lettuce!!!!!

What about you??

She is so lucky to have you in her life, and it seems like she doesn't know it!

I've done some cleaning and 2 loads of laundry - the kids laundry takes longer - I have those front loaders that all I have to do is push "Baby cycle" and it senses to do that wash. It takes a lot longer though 1 1/2 hours or so.

Anyway, soon will be making lunch - we're going to do french bread pizzas. We were going to take the kids over to the campus where I went to college (it's only about 1/2 a mile from our house), but it's cold today - only like 45 or so, on a walk and feed the ducks and such, plus they're having kids activities, but I think naps sound better for them anyway!

This evening, we have church, then we will be going out to eat with my mom and dad, then we'll go back to their house for a little bit. Saturday's are always busy at my house!
 
Maureen: I am doing chili for dinner tomorrow night. I am not sure how extensive you want to get with cooking, but that is always an idea. You could always do a soup too if you want something warm. I always love my slow cooker!

Good Saturday to everyone! I haven't been replying much to individual posts, but you're all in my heart, even if my fingers aren't in your posts. Love to you all.

Beautiful weather today ... a bit warmer and less windy would make it perfect. No big plans, but we will probably go to visit my in-laws (my father-in-law is failing due to cancer, but he's still at home). That's usually a good excuse to get pizza at Pino's on the way there!

I started a new afghan. If it comes out okay, it will be for a friend of mine at work to give her sister as a wedding gift. If it doesn't come out okay---I'll frog it and make something else with the yarn! ("Frog" is a crafter's term meaning "rip it, rip it ...")

Slow day at the office yesterday, so I went browsing for free crochet patterns on the Internet. I must have downloaded over 80 PDFs, mostly for afghans. Some of them are Christmassy afghans, so stay tuned! There may be another auction in the future.
