reminds of the time I was driving special needs bus, on the way home one girl was literally bouncing off the walls, had to stop several times to try and settle her down.
The next morning when I dropped her at school I asked her teach what had gone on the day before. She said they had a birthday party and she had eaten a fair amount of chocolate cake about an half hour before she got on the bus.
I looked at her and told her if they did that again I would feed her chocolate bars on the way to school!

Good Friday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

It's been busy busy around here. My son's best friend's dad recently found out he has cancer, and hasn't been given a very good prognosis. Since both of the boys were already out of school, his friend (Mark) asked if Jacob would please come over to his house. I think he's been overwhelmed with worry for his dad, and just wanted to do some regular stuff with a friend. So I left early this morning to take Jacob to his friend's house (about 30 miles away), then I hurried back to the Honors Day program for Elizabeth's class. Now I'm trying to get caught up at work since we're going to be in Orlando all next week. Whew!

I have to say, I'm very proud of both of my children, academically and socially. My daughter worked so hard this year for school, and made honor roll AND received the subject award for english! My son was a little apprehensive about visiting his friend while his dad is so visibly not well. I told him it was up to him, and he said he knew Mark needed him.

It does an old dad's heart good! Who needs a Father's Day present when they give me gifts like this without even trying?

So apparently my sister has let my niece eat pixy sticks all morning. Now she is bouncing off of the walls and driving me crazy. So the next time she spends the night I'm going to let her do the same thing before I take her home.

Just dump the Pixy Sticks on top of Cap'n Crunch, and a few scoops of sugar and some marshmallows will really get her jumping! cheesy

I hope she calmed down for you.

I"m not sure if this was for me or not haha...lol, but DH and EA actually planted the flowers for me...so sweet, right...since I was sick. He loves to do that anyway. He used to have a landscaping business back in his hometown, so he loves doing those kind of things anyway. I really appreciated it.

A friend of mine passed away, his father went to wake him up this morning and found him dead. There have been so many deaths around here lately, it's very sad. I especially hate hearing of someone so young passing. It really gives meaning to the statement that life is short so live it with no regrets and not to waste time fighting and being angry with people.

I just went out for a bite so now that I am home I am probably going to get some work and cleaning done. I hope everyone is having a good week so far, I am going to try my best to be around more!

Oh Jennifer, that's awful. Praying for them and you.

my son's fiance is kind'a graduating tonight. i say kind'a because she actually has to go through December to complete her courses but to be able to walk w/ the grads she had to do that tonight. i sent her some flowers today since we weren't able to go. we are so proud of her, she works so hard & studies even harder. i truly hope she, one day, becomes my daughter. i'm sure she will be.

Have you tried Tisano cacao tea? It's loose "tea" (actually an herbal tea) made from cacao shells that tastes like dark chocolate! It's heavenly with a splash of milk and a little sugar---all the chocolate without so much fat.

You've got me in the mood for a cup of tea now. At this hour it'll have to be decaf, though!

Maybe I should try this, Merry! I don't like tea, but this sounds wonderful. I've never heard of it. I'll have to look for it next time I'm at the store. Thanks!

hey everyone...it is Father´s Day over here in germany today....and the weather is bright....the man has to work tho even tho it is a public holiday....so it is a day like any other...we gave him his little presents yesterday already (a small led touchlight and a poloshirt...and a painted picture by Kandice)....so now I am pretty much doing everyday chores that summed up for a few days...lol....meaning....doing laundry, foldin em and puttin em away....plus vaccuming the floors, mopping em and just wipin the tables and stuff like that
