Christmas Countdown - 2012

Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a great day! I'm just sitting around watching the game and relaxing. I have a big trip coming up, so I'm kinda just going to take it easy tonight as it will be pretty hectic the next two days as I get prepared. I will be gone for a week, so I got a lot to do. Wish it was for pleasure, but maybe I will get to enjoy my summer sooner or later. Someone asked if I had enjoyed my time off....little do they know that I have actually put in more hours this summer than I did during the week. Not complaining, I'm blessed and I love my job. Plus I think things are going to slow down after this week for about two weeks, so I get a breath of fresh air soon.

So tonight....it's all Christmas stuff on the net. See ya in a bit....

Please keep one of my employees in your thoughts and prayers tonight, her father is going to have surgery tomorrow for a cancer issue, but he has a weak heart so they don't know if he will make it through surgery, but it needs to be done if he wants to beat the cancer.

Can't believe I passed 10,000 posts. I remember when 1,000 used to look like a lot. I remember hoping that I stayed here long enough to get 5,000.

We are a little over five weeks to Christmas in July!!! Flying across the country to New Jersey next week to visit family. Will be there for a week and will be going to the Jersey Shore for a few days. Maybe I will see Snooki. Anyone else going on vacation?

Did you see that the Cup cars were hitting average speeds of almost 202mph today in testing at Michigan? The one reporter posted that Junior said that was the fastest he has ever gone in a cup car. Nascar said they won't break out the restrictor plates for this weekend though. They think the speeds will come down with the hotter weather.

Its going to be a busy one with friends coming down on Saturday and then I'm cooking a big lunch for Fathers day on Sunday!

Tomorrow -- SINGLE DIGITS to the 50 percent mark to Christmas Day!

We begin the day here at 60 degrees and the promise of continued nice weather on through the weekend.
I can't recall when we last had such a pleasant first half of June, primarily owing to the lower than normal humidity.
(It sure would be great if this could continue throughout the summer!)
