Christmas Countdown - 2012

[Holiday]

We were supposed to start construction this past year but were waylaid by the big C. We are going to double the den/kitchen area from 16 X 32 to 32 X 32. And I will get my gourmet kitchen complete with Wolf stove (side-by-side ovens). I can hardly wait!

I expect to see some pictures when it's done!!! :grin:

Good Evening MMC!

I have managed to do a quick read through of all the posts since I was last here.

It has been a busy day, my son had to have a throat scope this morning to check on what was going on with his hiatus hernia. We almost missed it because for the first time in ages I actually slept in! But we made it. Everything went well and it looked good the doc said. Just have to wait for the biopsy to come back.

Now I am home from my TOPS meeting and enjoying a quiet evening at home.

Good evening,

I was one busy man at work today, I felt like I was going 110mph all day long. I got home and my wife told me we got a phone call from the farm that has the corn maze, we won a raffle prize!!! A jar of spaghetti sauce!!!! It's better than nothing, and it is quite tasty since we sampled it yesterday. I saw an article on nbcnews.com about "Christmas Creep," the people leaving comments about it must really be unhappy people because they were complaining about it, and saying how much they hate Christmas because of it.

I'm so glad were in the double digits!

We almost missed it because for the first time in ages I actually slept in! But we made it. Everything went well and it looked good the doc said. Just have to wait for the biopsy to come back.

Just stopping in before I go to bed. Getting up in the early morning is so much better for me but by this time at night I am totally whipped. Everyone is doing well including Wishbone still !! I have been reading my issue of Christmas Ideals 2012 and it is just beautiful as they always are. It supposed to be cooling down soon and hopefully it will stay that way..

Made - How do you like your Kindle fire ?? My Kindle Fire is not the HD version but I probably would not notice the difference anyway !!

You send the old toys to the grandparents house's for the kids to play with while they are there and keep the new ones at your house. At least that's what my sister does.

Congrats on the weight loss!!! What a great problem to have - pants are too big! I made a Corn "n" Spicy Pepper Chowder in the crock pot on Saturday. Mmmm - I love soups/crock pots this time of year when the weather is getting chillier!!!! :smile:

Another excellent idea, Made!

My sister has the same problem expect her mother in law just brings bags of stuff over to her house and leaves it. When my niece's were young, she would bring over bags and bags of stuffed animals that belonged to my BIL when he was a kid. They usually found their way to goodwill pretty quick.

Speaking of seeing the famous...I once saw Paul Gross in our local grocery store. That was the summer he was an actor at the Festival. I walked passed the isle and then backed up to look again, he winked at me and all I could think was "yep, that was Paul alright!" My girls gave me heck for not getting his autograph!. But you know, one of the reason actors like Stratford so much is that they do not get mobbed every time they step out of the door.
Unless of course your first name is Justin and last name is Bieber, then all the teeny boppers go crazy, but then he is not an actor just knows how to sing a few songs.

I agree......There a few things I am still getting used to also....Though there is probably no comparison I kind of prefer the iPod apps a little more........but then books are easier to read on my Kindle Fire.....So I guess I like them both !! xo
