It's Raining!!! we are having a nice thunderstorm and it sounds wonderful! I am about to head out to work and wanted to just check in real quick! its 72F kind of humid but raining which we need!!! hopefully in a few weeks some cooler weather will come to south ga!! have a great day everyone!!!

Good evening,

I was one busy man at work today, I felt like I was going 110mph all day long. I got home and my wife told me we got a phone call from the farm that has the corn maze, we won a raffle prize!!! A jar of spaghetti sauce!!!! It's better than nothing, and it is quite tasty since we sampled it yesterday. I saw an article on nbcnews.com about "Christmas Creep," the people leaving comments about it must really be unhappy people because they were complaining about it, and saying how much they hate Christmas because of it.

I'm so glad were in the double digits!

I have been reading my issue of Christmas Ideals 2012 and it is just beautiful as they always are. It supposed to be cooling down soon and hopefully it will stay that way..

Made - How do you like your Kindle fire ?? My Kindle Fire is not the HD version but I probably would not notice the difference anyway !!

Hi everyone!! Just popping in to come and say good night. Sorry I didn't have time to get caught up today. I will do so tomorrow!

I have not slept well for about four nights in a row...so we'll see how tonight turns out. Why is it that I can never fall asleep easily/get cozy during the night, but in the morning I am so comfortable and I can't drag myself out of bed?! My body is STILL not used to waking up early for my classes. During the summer, I slept in about two hours later than I do now...guess it'll take some more getting used to.

I hate that it is getting darker earlier!! That is one thing I liked about the summer - I could take my walks in the evening and not have to worry about it getting dark on me by 7:30 PM!

I didn't get home from work until after 9:00 tonight but after I got settled in with a hot "cuppa" of tea.... and a little nighttime snack of peanut butter on Ritz cracker; (Remember Andy's saying; "Everything taste great when it sits on a Ritz, mmmmm, good cracker"). lol....

So, everyone was in bed by then, so I turned on the tube and behold, Home Alone was on! Yes, a perfect way to end the night...

it's raining pretty hard out right now. no thunder or lightening but lots of rain. super humid here, says 73 degrees but w/ this humidity it feels much warmer. can't wait for more fall like weather to come.

have a dr. appt this morning but i think i'm gonna cancel as i was just there last week.

my son, Seth, is considering physical therapy once he completes his associates of science in December but he 1st has to get his GPA up. he was kind'a upset last night thinking about all of it. bless him. i did assure him everything will work out.

I have to be at work at 9am, not used to morning shifts, usually do the closings. Oh well, it will be much busier because the order comes in today but that should also make the day go by fast.

I can totally relate!!! We walk at 5:15 in the morning - summertime it's daylight at 5:15 am & light until 10pm & I love it!!! Now it's dark when we start our walk, dark when we end our walk (well, it's just starting to get light at the end of our walk) & then it's dark by 8:15pm. UGH! Since I get up so early now, I usually don't have a hard time falling asleep at night - once I finally get to bed that is - (I'm a night owl by nature) but mornings...oh I could sleep & sleep! But then I'm mad at myself if I "waste" a morning sleeping!!! It's vicious cycle! :lol:

Good rainy morning MMC! Looks like the rain is done here, but it came through overnight! We only have a high of 64 predicted for today! I'm heading out in about an hour with 2 neighbor ladies for a walk! Which means, I did end up taking the day off! The temptation was too great! I feel I am benefiting from this day off more than my brother Mike (I took off to celebrate his 1st heavenly birthday) but I could use a day off at home & why not today??? :smile: Speaking of...time to get the Christmas candles (or fall candles) burning & turn on some Christmas music! (Done!)

Seems like there was something else I wanted to ask or tell, but can't think of it now, so I'm going to start cleaning out a closet. Oh boy....

I bought a small 2' artificial Christmas tree to hang Halloween stuff on then after Halloween I'll hang Thanksgiving stuff on it and then of course it will be time to make it a Christmas tree! I've never done such a thing before, I hope I'm not disrespecting the Christmas tree.

WOW! How awesome is that!? I don't collect them myself, but I do buy a piece or 2 every year for my friend. I love buying them for her!!! So pretty!!! You will have to take a picture of all your houses next year in your new home!

I remember you mentioning that last year. That is so sweet of you, your friend must really appreciate it. Any idea what pieces you will buy this year?

I have managed to do a quick read through of all the posts since I was last here.

It has been a busy day, my son had to have a throat scope this morning to check on what was going on with his hiatus hernia. We almost missed it because for the first time in ages I actually slept in! But we made it. Everything went well and it looked good the doc said. Just have to wait for the biopsy to come back.

Now I am home from my TOPS meeting and enjoying a quiet evening at home.

Glad everything went well @ your son's appointment, CS. I will keep him in my thoughts & prayers.

Tuesday hello (only Tuesday??) ... Calling for heavy rain and wind later today, so we'll be joining you folks with rain. (I'll miss my sunbeams today!)

I hate that it is getting darker earlier!! That is one thing I liked about the summer - I could take my walks in the evening and not have to worry about it getting dark on me by 7:30 PM!

Me too ... it's getting too dark to ride my bike when I get home from work, so I'll only be able to ride on weekends when the weather cooperates. (I haven't ridden for a couple of weeks because of that darn coughing and fatigue, so I'm missing out.) One of the things I dislike about winter is that it's pretty dark when I head out to work in the mornings, and already dark by the time I head for home. I really miss the sunlight.

I am probably going to head for Hobby Lobby this week...I think I am taking the day off Wednesday in search of a new Christmas tree !!

Now that sounds like a great way to spend a Wednesday! I've kept my old tree running for many a year now because it's so beautiful. (It came as a tree with white lights, but I mixed color bulbs in with them.) But I always have to diagnose a dark string of lights a few times each season---sometimes it takes 30 or 40 minutes to find the bad bulbs! The past couple years I always go over it carefully before I decorate it to replace any unlit bulbs. It helps.

Soon I will be leaving in the morning when it's dark, and coming home from work in the dark. I like the dark and cold though, so it's not that big a deal for me. I am an odd duck!

Good morning,

Kids are at school, and preschool. Laundry started, dishes done, and I went and picked up my winnings. (spaghetti sauce) I plan on relaxing for the rest of the day, I wish there was something Christmassy on TV, soon enough there will be though. I forgot to tell all of you I went to Lowes on Sunday, and they had started setting up their Christmas stuff. Another week or two it will be all out!

I finally got my grass cut yesterday, although a limb hooked my ear. Now I have this big ol' scab in my ear. It took forever to stop bleeding due to the blood thinner I have to take for while. Yuck!
