You do because you are SO CAPABLE!!!

...It's like inviting Martha Stewart for the most important dinner of the year!
Who does that? ;]

I will share it tomorrow. Gonna be out of town this evening!

It's when you download a file from a source other than amazon and then install it manually.

Are you going to share the recipe?

I AGREE!!!!!! It's going by way to quick.

I shop online and then "window shop" to get into the Christmas spirit. Then I am not rushing around and can leisurely walk the malls and enjoy the music!

I do not know how you carry the load you have!!!

Good morning, MMC! How is everyone doing this morning? How are your families? I have been praying for all of you and adding in extra prayers for anyone who asked for prayers! ♥

Happy Milestone Day! I can't believe that we are getting so close. Now is about the time of the year that I really enjoy waiting for Christmas, though. Throughout the summer I want to just get closer, but now it's fun to wait for November/December. Pretty soon we'll all be talking about what we are planning to cook/bake for Christmas, what gifts we're buying everyone, and maybe even about some snow! I am disappointed that I missed out on all of the fun with you guys last year but I am glad I'm here this time around!

I heard on all of the morning shows that supposedly a man with two children blogged and said that his oldest son is his favorite - um, yikes. That seems like a huge no no. Even if I had a favorite (which I am pretty positive that I wouldn't) you know the other kid is going to find out one day!

I ended up dropping a class that I had, so now I'm only down to four. Long story short - my online teacher was crazy and asked us to join an organization outside of class. I already had four other classes, his class, and my own job, so I dropped. I have no time for that! That would be a full school load, two jobs, and then leave me zero time for anything else.

I think I might do a little bit of online shopping for Christmas gifts while my mom is out and about today. Last year I cut it SO close with how late I was getting things shipped to my house! Our mall sadly has no good stores, so I'm forced to resort to online shopping. The closest mall with decent stores is 30-45 minutes away with traffic. It can be a pain to get there, especially depending on the weather. I'd rather online shop and choose whatever I want that way. Our mall gets rid of all of its stores for some reason, nothing seems to last. We got rid of Old Navy, Express, GAP, and plenty more.

Do you guys shop in person the most, or do you order online? I always feel like a weirdo for ordering my gifts online because sometimes part of the fun is shopping in person and seeing all of the decorations. I do some shopping in person, whatever I can at my own mall, but it's limited because of our store choices.

Time to get ready for class. Talk to you all soon!

Good Tuesday morning, and Happy Rudolph Day, my Christmas friends!

Two of our IT guys from corporate are here today, so I've been out in the plant with them showing them the stuff we need fixed. These guys have big plans for giant-screen monitors in the plant that display safety messages & general info, and a fiberoptic system throughout the facility. And they're installing a CCTV system throughout. Man, they don't understand how nasty equipment gets in a concrete plant. LOL

Anyway, I hope y'all have a great Rudy Day! :rudolph:

We are back from the Gymnastics..
It didn't go well...
He really didn't want to be there.
But we tried!
Half hour with crying...

Well it's six o'clock in the evening here.
And I have to attend to a meeting at school.

So Im off!

Yup, been there done that, it can be a little trying at times! It reminds me of my son when he was little, he didn't like any sport we tried; we did the baseball thing and he was more interested in watching the butterflies, we tried gymnastics and that lasted about a year and then he was done with that, we tried indoor soccer and he said it was too much running and then we tried Martial Arts and he loved it. He is now a 2nd degree Black Belt and tomorrow, he is going to swear into the US Air Force to work in their special security force; "I'm proud of him"...

Anyway, it's funny how some things when they are little can possibly lead to one day, pave their way to their future careers/ lives...

As a Dad, I tried my best, to go to every game, practice, event, driving kids around, taking them home, helping out, etc... for both of my kids and I don't regret any moment I spent with them. My father never gave me two seconds of his time to do anything like that and I swore to myself, that I would do my best to be there for mine! I think, especially as they grow older, (past those crazy tween and teenager stages), it helps to build stronger bonds, that last a lifetime for both of us....

what´s up everyone.....been driving to mannheim today with ma and kandice....our bus that takes us to disneyland will depart in mannheim...which is about a 20min drive from my city.....so we went to there to see where the bus-station is.....we found it...i called disneyland to see if everything is checked....and yup...it is.....so pretty much all is set for Sunday.........luv it

Has anyone heard from Shellie and Meceka? I miss them!

Shellie's posted on facebook but I'm worried about Meceka. I mailed her a card yesterday letting her know that we missed her and that we are praying that everything is okay.

It is unusual not to hear from shellie and meceka ... hope we hear something soon. Thanks for mailing meceka a card, made. Snail mail can get through if computers are down.

You can always sit at your computer with the afghan in your lap. I think Meceka said she does that sometimes! Either Meceka or Merry Carey.

I don't remember if I said that ... but I've done it on occasion at the office!

Those are incredible!!! GREAT JOB!!!!!!!
Thankyou! I do so enjoy the challenge.
Wish I could see it (and eat it) in person!
the cake will be made of styrofoam, just for display. I will take lots of pictures. All the decorations will be made of sugar, so if it were real, you could munch on it all. Competion cakes have to be fake because they sit around for several days and the real ones would not stand up to that to well.

I don't blame you for dropping that class. Sounds like you have a FULL LOAD the way it is!!
I do both online (usually last minute) & mall/store shopping. Our closest mall is 45-50 min away too. We do have a Kohls about 20 min away. I shop with my friend, I shop with the neighbor ladies & I usually shop some more. And then when I still haven't found what I need, online I go!

Good morning all. It is a little warmer here today; 43 when I left for work and should warm up to low 70s.

Leann (wife) teaches a ladies Bible study on Tues nights so it is Ethan (son) and my night out. We go to dinner at a local restaurant and just spend some time together. Except for the tourist, we will know everyone in the restaurant. Ethan's drinks are always free since he plays a high school varsity sport, (baseball). We don't have cell phone service at our house so Ethan will, of course, text his girlfriend who is away at college and most everyone in the restaurant has to stop by and speak. It is a neat evening. Ethan and I get to have some father son time and we both look forward to it.

Have a blessed day everyone.

How awesome! Have a GREAT time!!

Our closest mall is 1.5 hours away and we only have dialup internet at home so most of our shopping occurs on all day trips to Pigeon Forge, TN.

Oh if you have to drive to shop, what a "horrible" place to have to go! Especially at Christmas!!!

It's great when you know that your son, even though he's a teenager, still loves to hang out with the old man.

When Christmas shopping season really gets going, Nancy & Elizabeth & my mom go shopping while Jacob and I go hunting. He and I love to stop at Harry's BBQ after the evening hunts. Just like your town, everybody know everybody else, so it's fun!

Very nice! Several of us are from small town America, eh??

I wish we had frost. It is still forcast to be in the high 90s at least through the weekend. Yuck! Kenny G would make my day, too! You can always sit at your computer with the afghan in your lap. I think Meceka said she does that sometimes! Either Meceka or Merry Carey.

We saw Kenny G last Christmas, & now I like his music even more! I have tried doing the afghan & computer in my lap before...problem is I always end up computering & not crocheting.... especially if I'm reading here @ MMC!!! Lol!

Your weather sounds perfect to me! I can just picture myself snuggled under a blanket across my lap, reading a good book, listening to and watching the rain, and drinking pumpkin spice coffee.

Sounds prefect!!!

We are back from the Gymnastics..

That sounds like such a fun evening and a great tradition with Ethan! He sounds like a great kid. I say that because when I was in high school, most kids my age wouldn't bother with their parents. I think I was the only one that made it a point to hang out with my family! What position does he play in baseball? I used to play softball back in the day!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's another cool morning here where we currently stand at 57 degree's on our way to 72. I have some work to do today and then I may head to horse track with my neighbor. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Hey, Made! Heading to the horse track sounds like it would be a lot of fun. It was supposed to get in the low 70s here today, but it is only 61 right now. I am freezing! Have fun at the track!

It's great when you know that your son, even though he's a teenager, still loves to hang out with the old man.

Jacob also sounds like a great kid :] I love your hunting tradition! Nothing is better after hunting than some good BBQ food! How is driving going?

Good morning, happy milestone and Rudolph Day!

Just sitting here MMC-ing and watching I'll Be Home For Christmas (again) It's on Starz so I had to watch it, either that or watch another 400 replays of that horrible call. It was a chilly 35 degrees when I woke up this morning, brrrrr, nice and refreshing. The usual laundry and dishes are my chores for the day.

I can't wait for it to be 3 months from today.

Happy :rudolph: day!!!

Happy Rudolph Day!! Yikes, you aren't kidding that it was chilly! I would be frozen. We're in the low 60s right now and I have to have my space heater on because my room is so chilled. Any plans for the day after you finish your chores? I can't wait for 3 months, either!

Has anyone heard from Shellie and Meceka? I miss them!

No, I haven't heard a peep from either of them, come to think of it. I am hoping and praying that things are okay with both of them. How sweet of you to notice! You are so kind :]

I shop online and then "window shop" to get into the Christmas spirit. Then I am not rushing around and can leisurely walk the malls and enjoy the music!

I do not know how you carry the load you have!!!

I love window shopping!! It is so much fun and really makes the holiday season. I totally agree with you!! People are always sprinting and dashing through the mall that I feel they can't even enjoy their surroundings or the Christmas carols. I can't wait to start putting the Christmas music on!

Good Tuesday morning, and Happy Rudolph Day, my Christmas friends!

Happy Rudolph Day! It sounds like you have quite a busy day with the IT guys! Hopefully everything gets installed properly and quickly. Any plans for the rest of your day?

Awww, I am sorry that gymnastics didn't go well! The crying would have broken my heart! Maybe there's next time. Enjoy the rest of your evening!

Woo hoo! Have fun at Disneyland! I will be taking a Disney World vacation in the near future, too. I hope you, Kandice, and your mom have a blast and that your bus ride is safe. Let us know how it goes!

It was a full load! Ugh, you unfortunately know my pain with having to travel quite a distance to the mall. That is never fun. It can be a little bit exciting if the weather cooperates and you know you will find what you're looking for, though. That sounds like fun to shop with your neighbors! No one will ever go shopping with me but my mom. My friends always claim they are too broke! Online shopping is very reliable when it comes to finding last minute things!

How is your day going?

all parents have a favorite child, the one who listens, excells in school or sports, never gives you any trouble. The thing is most parents are wise enough to never admit it. We also love all our kids no matter what they are like. I have a favorite son...but then he is my only son! LOL

And a lucky son he is! I think my parents got lucky with my brother and me. We both played two sports and did really well, we both always got honor roll or high honors in school, we both did really well in college (at least I am so far), and we never really got in trouble. Honestly, I don't feel like my parents have a favorite, so I guess that is why I am baffled by the guy's blatant honesty! I would be so disappointed if one of my parents blogged saying they liked my brother better LOL. That's something you should keep to yourself!

i read too that every person that has more kids than one will prob have a favorite child.....this does not mean a parent loves one child more than the other one....it sometimes is a connection thing....sometimes you are closer to this one child.....you are close to the other one or others as well...there just seems to be a special connection...a lot of times the parents would not even know where that comes from.......also....the problem is not having a favorite....but letting the kids feel that one is favored.....I know at one time...when i was a kid...that my mother was just much closer to my brother....I never doubted she loved me just as much....but they wre more alike....

but to Blog that You favor this child over the other ones is just unexcusable...this can end the other kids lifes in chaos because they never felt loved to the fullest

which is my main thing i am trying to archive by raising my daughter Kandice.....of course I want her become person that treats other people respectful, is honest, loyal and on.....but what I really want......is that she knows I love her unconditionally

He plays outfield and pitches. I'm afraid once his girlfriend comes home for Christmas break, we will not be seeing as much of him until she goes back to school.
