Happy November 1st!!
I hate to say it but I really don't like Halloween. I am so glad it's over! I do not like taking the kids around in the cold and dark. We always leave a bowl out (we get no one on our street because there is one street in the neighborhood that shuts down and everyone congregates!) and some brat stole our bwol and everything. Rude! Never had an issue before! Oh well, at least it's over and we're in a fantastic month now!
Happy November 1st everyone! Wow... Halloween was a blast! We had so many kids at the house, that we went thru 30 pounds of candy in 3 hours.
Because of Sandy, I had taken down all my Halloween decorations to keep them safe from the storm, so yesterday I left work early, drove home and spent 6 hours putting all the decorations back up again. A lot of work, but it was worth it for us just to see all the smiles, hear the laughter and see the excitement in the kids and the parents faces, it was wonderful...
Today is also my sons birthday, (he turns 20 today), I can't believe it, I still have a hard time thinking about and wondering where did all the years go??? This is my busy time of year with Halloween, and then my sons birthday, my daughters birthday and my birthday; all in November, then Thanksgiving and Christmas... Whew, by the time January rolls around, I'm ready to hibernate in front of the fireplace for the rest of the winter, lol...
We made it thru the storm ok with only losing power for about a day and a small leak at the rear of the house. Some of my neighbors weren't so lucky, they got hit pretty hard and sustained alot of water and wind damage to their homes. I hope everyone on the East Coast has made it thru the storm ok, and my prayers and thoughts are with everyone that had damage, lost power or even worse...

With time growing so short, I hope everyone on the "Special Post" list is finalizing their messages.
To recap:

2) November 09 -- Four days before the Season -- Binger
3) November 10 -- Three days before the Season -- Christmasstar
4) November 11 -- Two days before the Season -- Caninemom
5) November 12 -- One day before the Season -- Seawaters
Then! November 13 -- CHRISTMAS SEASON 2012 BEGINS -- (I'll try to have a few words to say.)
Wow! Isn't this exciting??
It truly is "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year"!
Ah!
Calm weather at last.
No rain. Plenty of sun.
Still with somewhat cool temps but better than yesterday.
I show 46 degrees here at this hour.
Have a Thrilling Thursday, Friends.
(Doesn't seem possible that tomorrow will be Weekend Eve again already!)

30 pounds of candy? Wow... How much do you give to each kid? We usually give each kid 3 or 4 pieces of candy. We have the candy in this huge plastic witches cauldren and sit out on the front porch to hand it out. It's mostly chocolate like snickers, almond Joy's, Twix, M&M's, etc... Once in awhile, we catch a few of the kids coming back in a different costume to get a second helping; lol, kids...
Here they get one or two things...
Im so impressed that you left early for work yesterday to
spend 6 hours putting all the decorations back up again! ♥ Thank you. Yes, We really do get a big kick out of having fun on Halloween, we decorate the house on both the outside and inside, we have lights, candles, fog machines, animated bats flying around, spooky sounds, strobes, etc... We try to make it fun, with a little bit of everything, but not scary as to frighten the little ones...
Happy Birthday to your son!
Hope he (and your family) have a wonderful day! =]
Good morning everyone!
As I posted in the Christmas Commercials 2012 thread, I saw my first Christmas commercial last night. It was for Petsmart! It promoted their "Holiday" sale this weekend. Christmas was everywhere in the commercial. I was excited! Now that Halloween is over, I'm sure we'll all be flooded and excited by the Christmas commercials appearing on our screen throughout the next two months. Indeed, the Season is nearly upon us!
I feel her pain. Ouch! I have been down with my back a few times. I hope she gets well soon! Not a whole lot is new here. Kim somehow threw out her back yesterday.
I hope you feel better real soon!!!Happy Halloween in the morning from northern California. We woke up to a little bit of fog!!! It is CHILLY outside, so, unlike Made, we turned on the heat just to take the chill off. I have an appointment for a blood test this morning so the radiologist can maybe prescribe something to induce energy. I can't have the infusions I sometimes get because they have anitoxidants in them and that is a no-no with radiation. I really enjoyed all the Halloween pics and siggies. So, well, Halloweeny! TTYL
I have been watching a lot of kids Christmas and Halloween shows on Netflix lately. They have a good variety of them!
I watched a couple "kid" Christmas specials on Netflix last night while walking on the treadmill. Made the time go really fast!
Sooo happy to hear that you are safe!!!!! We were worried about you!Hi everyone!!! I know, I know, but I've had no power, no where to connect to let you all know how things where going. I just went back to work today, I am at the Starbucks by my house now, they have power!!! It is crazy, I just hope everyone else who was touched by this is OK.
Still no power at home, work is up but I haven't even time to each my salad, but our email & phones are still down at work. We are using walkie talkies to communicate!!!
Yay!!! It's November officially now! =)I can't wait until November first to listen to Christmas carols. I am officially starting now. It's November first somewhere, right?!
Good point!!! Ha ha!!!!never understood why anyone would want to throw out a perfectly good back!? LOL, hope she feels better soon.
Exactly how I feel!!!!!I love Halloween...but I think because it ushers in the best time of year....
See yall in a couple of hours...
I am so happy to see you and my favorite picture of O'Malley! (Actually I have a few favorite pictures of the little guy!)![]()
Well - I don't think it's a come as you are party - back to the costume closet, Mr. O'Malley.
Aww... Sorry to hear! I hope they get over their fear soon. Dogs can be the best companions!Well my niece's went to 3 house's before they came home. They were afraid that people would have dogs that would bite them. I don't know why they suddenly developed a fear of dogs but my sister needs to get them over it. I mean my BIL's mom has had a dog all of their lives so it's not like they haven't grew up around one.
What a great idea!!! Thanks for sharing!Okay, here's the info---send your leftover Halloween candy to Soldiers' Angels. Here's the link:
http://soldiersangels.org/index.php...l,0&cntnt01articleid=1184&cntnt01returnid=120
They forward it to armed forces members overseas.
I hope she does well with the medication!Hermione is doing well. She got her first dose of antbiotics and second dose of anti-anxiety medication. It has already helped her a LOT. Poor sweet girl, she has always been very anxious !! Dont let anyone tell you Bloodhounds are LAID BACK because It Aint so !!! While Hermione is not a purebred She is more like her father who is a Bloodhound than her mother who is a Golden Retriever. Very, very sweet personality but H-Y-P-E-R !!!!! I love her just the same.......xo
I am getting excited about this!!!24 hours and 40 minutes until Christmas music on Music Choice!!!!
Good to see you and glad you had fun Trick-or-Treating!Morning all!! Had a great time trick or treating last night, the rain brought us in early but we still had a fun time and I think the girls have enough treats to last them until christmas !!!!

That is why I won't leave candy out. Seems to always happen with someone stealing it all. =(I hate to say it but I really don't like Halloween. I am so glad it's over! I know that feeling all too well! I think I have one of those hangovers myself! =)So my wife wakes all of us up this morning and nobody makes any effort to get ready. My oldest is lying on her floor in her pjs saying see is just too tired to go to school. My middle one comes in the room and joins her in the chant. Then my 3 year old comes in and lies down too. Then me and mommy come in and do the same thing. Yep, a true Halloween hangover was had by all.
