Today is also my sons birthday, (he turns 20 today), I can't believe it, I still have a hard time thinking about and wondering where did all the years go???

Happy Birthday to your son!!!!!!!

Glad to hear that you didn't get any major damage.

I hate to say it but I really don't like Halloween. I am so glad it's over! I do not like taking the kids around in the cold and dark. We always leave a bowl out (we get no one on our street because there is one street in the neighborhood that shuts down and everyone congregates!) and some brat stole our bwol and everything. Rude! Never had an issue before! Oh well, at least it's over and we're in a fantastic month now!

I'm sorry. My bag was just to full put all of that candy in (it was all for me, right?) So I borrowed your bowl to bring it home in. I planned to bring it back today. I promise.

I had the best time ever last night!!! I have been wanting to go Trick-or-Treating with my grandchildren for the last few years but something would come up and I ended up staying home to pass out candy, which is fine but I love Trick-or-Treating!

My daughter and son-in-law have been so busy working overtime and have some other obligations to take care of and were feeling bad that they might not be able to take the kids out for candy. It's not like they haven't done a lot already for Halloween (carnival, fair, Six Flags, etc.) but might miss out on Trick-or-Treating. I told them we (my mother and I) want to take them really bad! They just hate to ask me or expect me to do anything extra for the kids as far as watching them since I watch them full time while they work but I wanted to take them! My daughter and son-in-law were afraid I was doing too much??? This is fun!

We took them to a neighborhood that I use to take my kids to. Memories! They go all out in this neighborhood! I think I had just as much fun as they did. Then afterward we took them to dinner at El Chicos restaurant. All kids got to eat free for Halloween. 5 of us ate for only 15 bucks but we tipped well! It was a good dinner!

I suppose you need me to wash the bowl out before you return it? Ahh! The dishwashing never ends!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to warm back up today with a high in the mid 50's. So it looks like I can get by without turning on my heat for a few more days. I'm exhausted today. I just couldn't sleep last night. I guess it was the anticipation. I haven't let that keep me down though. I've already been out shopping for candy that has been marked down. I got 5 bags of the small peanut butter cups and 2 bags of hershey kisses to make cookies with for Christmas. I also had to pick up some york peppermint patties because I have been craving them. I would have preferred Junior mints but walmart didn't have them marked down. Now I'm off to jam with Michael Buble's Christmas album. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Is anyone else feeling extra giddy today??? It's that November 1st giddiness that I cannot shake and don't want to! If I don't get any of my Christmas decorations out today, I will at least put all my regular coffee mugs away and bring out the Christmas ones!!!

Time to do the happy dance!!! Please join me in dancing!!!

Looks like Made is dancing! Everyone else join in!

Since Made is going to listen to some Michael Buble, I think I will put in my CD as well. Love his Christmas music!

I know yuu are taking care of that sweet baby! Bless her heart! I remember how helpless I felt when the kids were sick. Take care of yourself, too.

Hey everyone. Just stop by real quick. I've got one sick little girl. Her temp has up and down all day. Temp around 6 was 103.3 F. It was back down, but she was having the chills again.

Hope this doesn't last too long for her. She is miserable. Off to take care of her. Talk to you guys tomorrow!

Thanks for the reminder about the special posts, Crown.

Good Morning.
Welcome to the Day After and the First Day Of.

By that, we mean the Day After Halloween and the First Day of November.
The month that will not only see Thanksgiving, but also the fantastic launch of Christmas Season 2012!

And that auspicious point is closer than you might think:
Days to the Season: 12 (Getting incredibly close to SINGLE DIGITS!)
Days to Christmas Day: 54 (It will be down to seven weeks before you know it!)

With time growing so short, I hope everyone on the "Special Post" list is finalizing their messages.

To recap:
1) November 08 -- Five days before the Season -- Ballcoach
2) November 09 -- Four days before the Season -- Binger
3) November 10 -- Three days before the Season -- Christmasstar
4) November 11 -- Two days before the Season -- Caninemom
5) November 12 -- One day before the Season -- Seawaters
Then! November 13 -- CHRISTMAS SEASON 2012 BEGINS -- (I'll try to have a few words to say.)

Wow! Isn't this exciting??
It truly is "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year"!

Ah!
Calm weather at last.
No rain. Plenty of sun.
Still with somewhat cool temps but better than yesterday.
I show 46 degrees here at this hour.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Friends.
(Doesn't seem possible that tomorrow will be Weekend Eve again already!)

My son (who happens to live in Maryland) will turn 38 on November 3rd. Happy B-Day to yours! I know what you mean about wondering where the years went! That was so sweet of you to take the time to re-do your decorations, and I am glad that it was appreciated by the kiddos.

Happy November 1st everyone! Wow... Halloween was a blast! We had so many kids at the house, that we went thru 30 pounds of candy in 3 hours.

Because of Sandy, I had taken down all my Halloween decorations to keep them safe from the storm, so yesterday I left work early, drove home and spent 6 hours putting all the decorations back up again. A lot of work, but it was worth it for us just to see all the smiles, hear the laughter and see the excitement in the kids and the parents faces, it was wonderful...

Today is also my sons birthday, (he turns 20 today), I can't believe it, I still have a hard time thinking about and wondering where did all the years go??? This is my busy time of year with Halloween, and then my sons birthday, my daughters birthday and my birthday; all in November, then Thanksgiving and Christmas... Whew, by the time January rolls around, I'm ready to hibernate in front of the fireplace for the rest of the winter, lol...

We made it thru the storm ok with only losing power for about a day and a small leak at the rear of the house. Some of my neighbors weren't so lucky, they got hit pretty hard and sustained alot of water and wind damage to their homes. I hope everyone on the East Coast has made it thru the storm ok, and my prayers and thoughts are with everyone that had damage, lost power or even worse...

So funny! Did you let them stay home?

So my wife wakes all of us up this morning and nobody makes any effort to get ready. My oldest is lying on her floor in her pjs saying see is just too tired to go to school. My middle one comes in the room and joins her in the chant. Then my 3 year old comes in and lies down too. Then me and mommy come in and do the same thing. Yep, a true Halloween hangover was had by all.

Happy November 1st, everyone! I just have to tell you how much better I feel!!! Since the doctor told me to NOT WORK, I have rested and honestly feel like I have renewed energy. I cannot believe what a difference it has made. I even ate two slices of pizza when we went to Round Table last night. It was rainy, rainy, rainy yesterday and last night, so no trick-or-treaters for us. We didn't ge in until after 8 o'clock anyway. Take care and have a great rest-of-the-day. We are going to Sacramento for the weekend and join some (Elks) friends for dinner at Buca di Beppo. Check out their menu: http://www.bucadibeppo.com/menu/
