A Christmassy weekend to you all. I hope the bugs go away soon so everyone is feeling better.

Here's what I was doing yesterday:

Today it's warmer and foggy, so the snow is melting away. But yesterday and last night there was just enough snow to be festive, and not enough to make driving and walking difficult.

I've put up an afghan for sale---the proceeds will go to Santa's Sleigh. It's only up for sale until December 10 ... that's to give it a chance of getting to its new home by Christmas Day. (Click the link for more info.)

My pastor actually called me this week and told me about lighting the Advent Candle. I told him I will go up there with Wayne and let him speak and I will light the candle. He said, "You will both speak and one of you can light the candle". Lol! I said, "I will"? He said, "Yes, I feel confident you will do a great job". He was very cheerful about volunteering me to do so! I will read scripture, Wayne will lead the congregation in prayer. Can I blame Nancy for this as well???

I am sure you did a wonderul job both of you !!! xo

I know you look forward to this every year. Have a great time!

Sounds like Wayne and I with our "inside jokes". We start laughing about stuff all the time and no one else has a clue what is so funny. It's great!

Happy Birthday to your sister!!!! :))

Thank you CAH !!! xxo

I know how you feel, most days that is all I get to do too!
Right now my house is quiet, Ray and Lisa are at rehearsal for the church Sunday school Christmas play and Jeannine is sleeping having just got off night shift at 7 this morning.

Happy birthday to your sister and have fun at her place today!

Thank you, Star !!!! xoxo

It looks like LC has a UTI but we will find out next week for sure. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.
Have you seen the story about the police officer buying boots for the homeless man. The Christmas season is in full bloom with generosity: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/nypd-boots-homeless-man-photo-145219581.html

Good night all!

I just read this about LC having a UTI .....Poor baby. I hope he feels well soon. I saw that story about the officer and the homeless man. It really made me cry - There are still plenty of people in the world who know how to give of themselves.......xo

It is still windy here in northern California. At least, though, the winds have dropped to 25 mph!!! Ugh! Hurry up, Made! Hubby fixed breakfast this morning: eggs over easy, Jimmy Dean sausage (a combo of hot and regular), toast, and baby Dutch yellow potatoes with onions. Delicioso!!! I will soon be off to the Christmas faire. TTYLTA!

Sounds delicious !!! Hope your wind died down !! I hate wind xo

Hello! :-) It's Christmas around here ... we're getting an unforecasted inch of snow, my trees are up and waiting to be decorated, I got my first Christmas package and cards this week, I got a new DVD of a Christmas show I first saw over 25 years ago that looks beautiful ... only a few more cards to write and a few gift bags to prepare, and we'll be about set. Haven't made any cookies yet, but I will. And the supermarket finally got some vanilla eggnog!

Because there are no decorations on the trees yet, I stuck a beanbag kitten in the branches of one, and Simon's Cat (stuffed toy) in the other, just to be whimsical. I may put a few lighted candy canes outside to go with the floodlight trained on our front door wreath today.

Sounds like things are getting pretty festive !!!!!! I want to thank you so much for telling me about Simon's Cat .....!! I just can't get enough of that series !! xo

that sounds like so much fun! I watched that movie this morning.
I got my advent wreath and candles out, only problem is the candles are too small for the holder, will have to figure out how to get them to go in secure.

I still have to get my calendars out !!! Good grief - I better get moving !! xo

Hello all, well December is finally here. I always have mixed emotions about the season arriving. Of course I am happy about it, but then think it will all be over way too soon. I will be off from the 19th-25th so we will have that time to enjoy doing all our Christmas stuff, I am looking forward to that.

As Sheila mentioned we are lighting the Advent candle tomorrow at church, she said that I do well with that kind of stuff, what people don't realize is that I am a bundle of nerves any time I read or pray in front of the congregation. I guess it doesn't show, because I always get compliments from people afterward.

I am sure you were both wonderful SIT !!!! xoxo

Good evening and Happy December!!!

Watching "It's A Wonderful Life" now I am dealing with chills and a cough that has my lungs burning tonight and I can't keep warm. LC is acting fine, thanks again.

I am heading to bed soon, Nyquil is calling me.

Good night all!

Xmas I hope you will feel better soon !! xo

Hi, everyone. Not to be a debbie downer during our favorite time of the year but please keep me in your prayers. Laryingitis is going away and now I have had a very bad cough since Thurs night. I have been sick since Thanksgiving night!!! First a sore throat then ears blocked then ulcers in my throat then the fever then laryingitis and now this. At night this cough is so persistent I cannot even sleep. I had tea with honey and lemon and even whisky, honey and lemon cough drops, cough medicine, nasal decongestant, breathing steam, humidifier, the list goes on and on! I have a huge presentation on Monday and this cough/lack of sleep is gonna drain me! I woke up this morning feeling like I did 100,000 crunches because my stomach is so sore from hacking a lung.

Sorry for rambling but please pray for me with this cough or keep me in your thoughts! And don't worry on Mon my doctor told me this is viral so I should be ok. My professor used to be a nurse and told me I am getting so many things because my immune system is vulnerable from the virus.

I hope nobody else is sick. I am praying for you all and for your families every night. I have been terrible with complaining and I am sorry! Don't hate me too much :)

We are always here to listen, Jennifer, that's what family does....and you are NOT complaining, you are just letting us know....I sure hope you feel better soon.....I am beginning to get worried.....xo
