Man, did I use enough prepositions in that sentence or what?

...

I will be checking in off and on for today when I take breaks from sorting. No matter what, have a great day!

Drove down to the garden center for a stroll around all the Christmas goodies, but never got inside ... the parking area and walkways were solid sheets of ice, and I couldn't walk on it. Back in the car and back home. (The roads were okay.) Disappointing. We had freezing rain last night, and it's still wet and temps are hanging around freezing. I finished up my gift-wrapping, now it's time for lunch and a movie.

(a) I don't agree that your voice is cringe-worthy.

(b) What would be wrong about sounding like Andy Griffith? He made a good career with his voice! cheesy

You're right, but Andy was funny and could make it work. A lot of my home-video voice recordings make me sound like somthing off of the "Swamp People" or "Hilbilly Handfishing" shows.

The funny thing is, I generally try to practice good enunciation, and I'm regularly teased for "talking like a yankee".

Good advice, Crown. Enjoying the Christmas season is in large part due to you. Thanks for what you do for all of us. I look forward to seeing the countdown each day of the year!

Awww, shucks.
{{ Looks down and scrapes toe on ground }}

I couldn't do it without the support of all of you. A real team effort!!

Well I've managed to bake 2 coffee cakes, go on a quick shopping trip with my sister and niece, and get dinner in the crock pot. Now I'm going to make some fudge. Should I start with Chocolate or Peanut Butter?

Very unusual weather here today. Usually when we have fog, it burns off before lunch. It's 2:30 now, and the fog is still with us and heavier than it was this morning. It's like walking through cotton batting.

This isn't what I meant when I said I wanted a White Christmas.

Peanut butter!!! Or chocolate. Really any fudge is good fudge.

"The first fudge of the year is just about the best fudge.
(I prefer a rich fudge)
Well, say any fudge is a pretty good fudge."

(With apologies to the Carpenters)

I am sure you have more than two burners on your stove, so I say do both!!!

Brilliant! I can hear them singing this.

Well, I am not sure if I shared this story or not...but let me tell you all about my Christmas shopping experience last week!

I wanted to pick out some nice shirts for my brother since he needs a few new ones. I walked up to the counter to checkout and here was my conversation with the employee who was ringing me up:

---------------------------------------

Her: Doing some Christmas shopping?

Me: Yep, for my older brother.

- She holds up a shirt -

Her: This one is so nice, I bought it for my boyfriend.

Me: That's nice, I really liked it too.

- She picks up another shirt -

Her: Oh! This one reminds me of Freddy Krueger!

Me: Excuse me?!

Her: You know, the creepy guy from a Nightmare on Elm Street.

- Silence -

Her: I can't get over it, this shirt looks just like his!

- Stuffs the shirt into the bag -

Her: Better than looking like Where's Waldo! Have a great day!

--------------------------------------

Welllllll....it's pretty safe to say I'll be returning that one right after Christmas!

well the family voted for lemon cheese cake this Christmas instead of the usual baked so that will be a lot easier to make!
Forgot to get the meat for the croquettes so will have to make another trip to the store.
The candy dish is running low, popular around here.
Stocking stuffers, I forgot the stocking stuffers! Looked up and saw them hanging on the fireplace which is what reminded me.
Also have to take t "D" size batteries back and get the correct size.

Now I have to get ready to go to my TOPS meeting and then from there to work until 11

Have a great evening everyone.

How in the world did she remember what Freddy's shirt looked like? I had to google it!, I say keep it and let your brother decide. He might even like it!

i always sounded extremely southern even for these parts. my hubby's from New Jersey, so as we have been together my grammar has gotten a bit better. i have noticed when i'm around others from here i talk more like i used to. we have a lady @ work whose from Colorado & she makes fun of my talk & some of my sayings. oh well, she moved here....i didn't move there huh?

I ordered some flavor oils on Friday night so I could make some key lime sugar cookies. They arrived just after lunch today. WOW, that's fast!
