Well, seems I missed it since I never made it on here yesterday! Sounded like a good dinner!6pm is when it should be done. I'm doing chicken breasts cooked with salsa and black beans. Then I'll serve it over a bed of brown rice.

Santa Miracles: 50 True Stories that Celebrate the Most Magical Time of the Year by Brad Steiger and Sherry Hansen Steiger
I'm about half way through and it's really good.
Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!
I had a great checkup with the cardiologist! The ticker is ticking away just fine, cholesterol is perfect, blood pressure is perfect...and I'm 35 lbs lighter. Nice!
Today is the last day of hunting season, so Jacob and I went hunting yesterday afternoon since he has guitar lessons this afternoon. We didn't see anything (except a million skeeters...in January!), but it was nice to get out in the woods.
I expect to go to my brother's shop and spray paint the car frame this evening. The new sub-frame body bushings should be in today, so it's almost time to put the front end back on the car!
I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
Not me!!!! I'm just fine with lows in the teens and highs in the 30's. I don't need negative temps.
Weird in a good way! :lol:You were not a weird kid !!! xoxoox
I am glad your sister and MMC has helped make you feel better!!!Good evening, Christmas family
Well, my tree is "asleep." We took it down yesterday. But I am not all that sad. My sister has been giving me "pep" talks as well as all of you - I think maybe they are finally taking root.
My sister is supposed to visit this Saturday. I hope so. We haven't seen each other since Christmas Eve. It would be wonderful to be with her again.
I am kind of excited. I found one of our local high schools has a community education program where you can enroll in var
I know you will do well! =)ious classes for a four to six week period. They have a couple of writing classes and I am going to enroll in one !! I am not sure anything can really help my writing but I think it will be interesting. I was hoping though that I would be able to go to the school for the classes but they are online.
So I will still not be getting out of the house any more than now.
But that's okay.....I will hopefully be learning some helpful tips !!
I am like you and will do whatever it takes to keep my furchildren around. They are no burden whatsoever! Right now my dog will be on medication for the rest of his life and has to take pills twice a day. I also have to prepare his food a certain way with supplements. Not a burden at all! It's not inconvenient and I don't mind a bit! I love him dearly and will take care of him for the rest of his life! I admire you for doing the same. Those babies are precious and love us unconditionally, I will do the same in return! =)Wish is sitting right by me snuggled up against me as I type this !!! He seems to be feeling SO good again. We have him on a soft food he gobbles up and I can tell the daily fluids help him feel much better. I know some folks probably would say he's "just a dog..." and would not go out of their way. As you all know, I am different. He is NOT just a dog just like everyone on this forum is NOT "just a human." Besides, it is no trouble now that I know how to administer the fluids....It is the least someone may have to do for me someday........and I would hope they would....I made a commitment to Wish just like all my furkids FOR LIFE....Not until things become inconvenient and expensive.....FOR LIFE....Okay.. Dont know what got me on a soapbox but done now....sorry....
BREAKING NEWS!!!
Uh oh, Binger!!!
This one is for Crown, MerryCarey, Christmasstar and other tea lovers. The Today Show just had a segment and said, "Tea is the new coffee"! They were showing varieties of teas.
Binger, are you going to convert?
Haven't read any post yet, be back later!
I'm trying not to let it bring me down, I already took down everything outside.
I am thinking of joining Google+ also, I already have gmail.
Good morning,
Been busy this morning, it is now time to take down the tree. I've been dreading this moment, but it will be back up in 10 short months.
Enjoy the day!
That means you're just as far ahead as I am!

Very sweet of you both! I have been asked by rescue groups if I would like to foster dogs but I rent a home, not sure the landlord would take to kindly to it. I would love to though! Hopefully someday I can do that. Keep up the good work!!!Good Evening everyone! we have a new member to our family. We have decided to become foster parents to the local animal shelter..we just got a beautiful Burmese Mountain dog. Now this dog has to be on leash at all times even in the house. Our local dog pound does not put the animals to sleep as long as ppl will be foster parents until someone will adopt the animals.. we saw this dog and could not stand it being in a shelter..We have taken pictures of it outside playing and put it online and posted pics in the town to see if someone wants it..meanwhile snowball has someone to play with now and she is so sweet I think me and brandi could become attached and that will be okay too. I would not mind having another little furbaby!! So that is how my Monday has been..it's been a really good day... I hope everyone is doing good this mid January day.. We have a 3 day weekend coming up everyone! that is something to look forward to.
I hope you feel better today!!!Wow...this is a first....
No basketball duty this week....wow.
I haven't been home every night in a week since...August. Even during Christmas break, I had to go to ballgames. Nice.
However, my legs are killing me and my throat hurts....I dunno what's going on, but I'm going to bed to get some rest. See yall tomorrow!
I will be there!!!Everybody is invited for a hot cocoa party here in front of our real fireplace next week....we will sing Christmas carols, eat cookies and watch Christmas movies and be together as a Christmas family !! AND we will stay cozy !!
I love the Scholastic book orders. Nowadays, there is a minimum order, so if your students don't order enough, you end up spending more money than you want. No, I hadn't heard that one before. At least you had your day mapped out for you!
You are welcomed anytime!Have fun with your granddaughter !!!! Wish I could be there to frolic with you !! xo
Most of our winter is usually like that. I always get excited if we get even a dusting of snow!Happy wet Tuesday everyone. We have had 2 days of heavy rain, (6 inches so far). Rivers are over their banks and low area are flooded. Now they are calling for it to change to sleet and snow on Thursday. I would welcome some cold weather and snow. Temps in the 50s and 60s are depressing in the winter. I long for the winter we had years ago.
My parents have had several good days and we are thankful for that. We will drive back down this weekend to visit with them while our son attends a baseball camp at Gardner Webb Univ.
Enjoy the snow CAH.
Have a blessed day everyone.
I meant to tell you that I am on MMC Google + now. I like the way you explained "standing around". Lol! I am doing the same there too!Have you seen the post saying that MMC is now a community on Google+?
I took the plunge and joined Google+. I've never been on Facebook because the shifting security settings are intimidating, and it seems like it would be a time drain. Google+ looks more manageable to me, and since I only know one or two people on it, it shouldn't be a time drain.
I feel silly, though, 'cause now that I'm on it, I don't know what to do. I've joined the party and I'm just standing there smiling, sampling the punch and tasting the dip. Must find more MMC members to add to my circle.
Playing in the snow at my house. Later today, swimming at Bradmacs!!! Yay!All this talk of snow, and it's been almost 80° here all week. :x I've even though of getting in the pool to clean it again.
I miss snow days. My favorite snow day of all (stop me if you've heard this one) was one elementary school Friday. I lived very near the school and always walked. I got to school a little early in spite of the snow and sat down with a few others. The book orders from Scholastic Books had come in (we used to get a flyer that we could order books from), so the teacher handed out the books to those who had ordered them. Then the principal came in and asked which of us had walked to school. We raised our hands, and the principal said "Have a nice weekend! Bye!" Outside, they were sending the buses back as they arrived. So I had a snow day with a bunch of brand new books to enjoy!
-10 points to me for lack of observation skills ...
This one is more in my price range.

Went to my financial planner and got the requisite signature about the rollover. Then I went to the district office to turn in my resignation letter. Only 12 more school days for me to work!!!
Sounds really nice!We had a great weekend, went to Sterling Park and did a nice hike, it was lovely. I so love the outside, and all the buds are getting prepared!!! You can see them on the tips just getting ready to spring!!!
I love when I see "stray" decorations around town. The other day one of the outdoor shopping areas had a giant wreath still up!My town tree is down as of yesterday... I got to see it lit up early yesterday morning on my run. Thankfully they left all the lights up in the town square and on the lamp posts!!
Not too far away! =)Been busy this morning, it is now time to take down the tree. I've been dreading this moment, but it will be back up in 10 short months.
As long as you can get here we are always glad to see you!Good day, all. I know it's been a day or two since I've checked in, so there goes my New Years resolution out the window. So much for that! I've just been really busy!
I hope you heal quickly!!!The doctor is pretty confident that I broke my rib and I am on antibiotics for something else. Hopefully the medicine works!
I agreeeeeee! COFFEEEEE!Never!!!!!!! Coffee rules!!!!!!!!
:lol:The million Java march!!!!!!
I am so happy for you!!Went to see CalSTRS to sign retirement papers and all is said and done! My last day of work will be Thursday, January 31, 2013 and my first day of retirement will be Friday, February 1, 2013. YEAH!!! I have to go down to Edward Jones and sign papers to get that special fund rolled over with the other money they have for me. I am getting happier and happier by the minute!
