Majority of the snow is gone now but I did take my 3 year old granddaughter out in it this morning. It's the first time she ever played in snow. She loved it!

I think my ribs are almost completely healed because I was able to dance with my granddaughter today and it didn't hurt! Yes, we dance a lot. We blast music and dance like fools! (I dance like a fool, she dances beautifully ). Last week I tried to dance around with her and it hurt like crazy!!! It sure helps her get rid of excess energy and we have fun at the same time!

I hope I caught up on all the post. I sure was behind on them! =)

Haha!! ;)

Adrian keeps telling me we're broke as a joke after the move

The crazy thing is, if that body is an original it would still be worth 3 to 5 thousand even in that condition.

Oh sure, no problem! =)

Sweet!!!! If you loan me 2 and Seawates loans me 2, I can buy both!!!!! Hopefully. You never know who will want it and there are some high rollers at Barret Jackson.

MerryBells, Happy Birthday to your sis.

Christmasstar, Penny is so cute!

Bradmac, happy to hear you had a good check up! Wayne just went for his checkup on his heart this week and got a good report too!!! Good for you both!!!

Hi Solice! Good to see you!!!

Snowflake, that fireplace setting with Harlowe there looks so cozy!!!

Fantastic story!!! I never heard it before.

Thanks, CAH!! We love it!
Har's a smart cookie, she'll go lay there after coming inside from her walks! =]

I have something funny to tell you about Crock Pots since a lot of you cook in them (including myself). I was watching, a few years ago, the old Match Game shows with Gene Rayburn (from the early 70's) someone mentioned about a Crock Pot. Gene said, "What is that"? Others replied and told him it's some new kind of cooking device and explained how it worked. He kind of grumbled and said something to the effect that it will never catch on, people will not be cooking in something like that and he wanted no part of it! I died laughing when I heard that!!! Wow, was he wrong!

All of the guys I worked with @ the General Contractor In Vegas would cut out early the week that Barret Jackson was in town!! I'd hear about all of the awesome rides for days ;)

Well, I need to go to the doctor for two things now. They were able to squeeze me in this afternoon. Luckily they said that they are advising flu patients over the phone and are not allowing them into the office. Hopefully I get some good news, keep me in your thoughts! I have to finish getting ready and get out of here soon.

Praying all turns out well for you !!! xo

They have some pretty sweet cars and the Scottsdale show draws the best. I would love to go one year but right now I have to settle on watching it on tv.

Went to see CalSTRS to sign retirement papers and all is said and done! My last day of work will be Thursday, January 31, 2013 and my first day of retirement will be Friday, February 1, 2013. YEAH!!! I have to go down to Edward Jones and sign papers to get that special fund rolled over with the other money they have for me. I am getting happier and happier by the minute!

This is wonderful news !! You go Seawaters !!!!! xoxo

Agree on this one for Seawaters, big congrats, but of course there will be some bittersweet feelings on ending this career. I remember my students well over the years- full time teacher for 3 years, subbed for 17 more. It is a very special profession indeed. How lucky would a student be to have Seawaters as a teacher...one can only imagine!

I bet you were a special teacher, too, Momnan !! xoox

I miss snow days. My favorite snow day of all (stop me if you've heard this one) was one elementary school Friday. I lived very near the school and always walked. I got to school a little early in spite of the snow and sat down with a few others. The book orders from Scholastic Books had come in (we used to get a flyer that we could order books from), so the teacher handed out the books to those who had ordered them. Then the principal came in and asked which of us had walked to school. We raised our hands, and the principal said "Have a nice weekend! Bye!" Outside, they were sending the buses back as they arrived. So I had a snow day with a bunch of brand new books to enjoy!

-10 points to me for lack of observation skills ...

That would be a PERFECT day !! xo

Me too. We have some on DVD. I used to watch it after school back in the day.

I should use my crockpot more ...
