Excellent ideas, XmasTidings!!!

Trust me my friend, your future memories will be some of the best ones in your life of the Halloweens spent with the kids.... Mine are now 18 and 20 and the Trick-or-Treating days are now long over with (and it was hard to realize that they were, especially when the time came and they didn't want to go out anymore). I can still remember all the times we went out with the kids and the things we learned as time went by. Here's a few things that we did:
  • Wagon
  • Blankets in the wagon
  • extra candy bags (one to dump their buckets into to keep them light or else in a matter of time they'll be dragging on the ground and the other as a spare; just in case)
  • Flashlights
  • neon bracelets - helps to keep track which kid is yours in the dark while they're all running from house to house.
  • Small Cooler - Ahemmm; just in case Mom and Dad got thirsty.....
  • Gloves - those little fingers get cold quick and so does the big ones pulling the wagon
  • Camera
  • Have the In-laws over, while your out Trick-or-Treating, they can give out candy to all the kids coming to your house. This way, you and the wife can be together....
In all, you'll have a blast....Foe me, Looking back at the videos now, we had a blast and to see them in their costumes that they wore back then, it's adorable....

I could eat fish every day!!! Did you have hush puppies, too?

Hey CM3! i understand your being upset by disciplining Hermione, but I'm sure she's loving & kissing on you this a.m.

I'm sure you've seen wrap dresses. you are so tiny & would look great in anything! they say wrap dresses flatter all body shapes. I'm not 1 for dresses either but if I were, I think I would try that. As Snowflake mentioned, i think those stores would be great places to look. Good luck doll!

Snowflake, how's your back now? sure hope you're feeling better.

CAH & Tex, i read on FB that you both are under the weather 7 I hope y'all feel better very soon.

how's everyone doin? we are all fine here in South Cackalakee!
hubby & I went Saturday to a biker church fish fry & bake sale. we brought the plates home. the food was delicious. Haven't had fish that good in a long time. we bought a red velvet cake & it is very good also. only thing is, it's full of toothpicks! I guess the baker used them to hold the layers together. I think it should have come w/ a warning, lol.

we watched "The Bible" last night. I thought it was very good. did anyone else here watch it? if so, what did you think?

have any of you seen the advertisement for "Myrtle Manor?" I think it's on TLC. didn't know until this a.m. that it's filmed in Myrtle Beach, S.C. it's, yet another, reality show! takes place in a trailer park, yes, a trailer park! a friend of mine on FB said she wishes she could get back the 1/2 hour it took to watch it. lol, I still think I would like to see it 1x.
nothing planned for today but cutting coupons & searching for some deals. I hope each of you have a fabulous day!:give:

Did you have some snow cream for me???

Good Monday morning everyone.

We had a great weekend with wonderful weather. We got about 4 inches of snow Saturday evening so we stayed in, had a fire in the fireplace, ate snow cream, and watched a movie. Our son is a junior in high school so my wife and I especially enjoy these times when it is just the 3 of us together.

We should have a good weather week. Temp was a cool 18 when I left for work today and we have a winter storm watch starting tomorrow evening with a possibly 7-9 inches of snow coming. That would be great. The only sad thing is it is probably winter's last real gasp this year.

Our son doesn't agree with me. He is anxious for winter to end. We have have already had our opening high school baseball game snowed out and now it looks like tomorrow's game will be postponed. I assure him we will get playing soon. I really torn. I love winter weather and baseball and you can't have both together...

Have a blessed day everyone and bring on the snow.

It sounds like a wonderful way to spend the day, Made!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! The sun is out for the second day in a row but it looks like the clouds will be back soon. We might see a little bit of rain/sleet today but it looks like tomorrow is when the fun will start. I don't think that any of the news stations really have any clue what we are going to get yet. One is saying 1 to 2 inches. The other is saying 3 to 5 inches and the other is saying 5 to 7 inches. So I guess I'll just wait and see. They have ruled out the all rain model from yesterday though. Today I don't really have anything going on. So I'm going to put a Christmas movie in the dvd player and relax. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

That will be wonderful, Brent, for us to see the new stuff early!!!

You're welcome, Crown. Yes. It would have been great to contribute those to the Blossoms thread. I could not wait the seven months until the thread returns, however! :) I'll be sure to stop in and return with pictures in late September.

...Also, I may have to visit in July and be the first to experience (and photograph) the 2013 Christmas decorations!

Glad you enjoyed the photos!

I made my first pot of minestrone soup a few weeks ago, and it was wonderful. I must make it again! Do you live close to NYC?

Hello everyone. I have my 16 year old home from school today, she's complaining of stomach ache. Hopefully it will pass soon. Other than that, I am off to a good start today. So far I have straightened up the house, started laundry, walked the dogs and ran to Target for a few things. Just having a quick cup of coffee now before I start some more chores. It's sunny outside today but still chilly. I'm going to make a big pot of Minestrone soup for dinner. I hope everyone has a great day!

have to get ready to go soon and now I have to go and pick up LittleCS first because she missed the bus.
We had chicken for dinner and it was way to good because I ate too much of it!

I think all of us on here feel the same way, CM3. Even Hubby. You ought to hear him talk to our Baby!

It is hard to discipline especially if a furkid is strong willed. I never think of myself as their owner, just their mommy or caretaker if you will xoxoxo

What did you end up doing? You were way too quiet!!!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's been a cold weekend, and it's still cold today, but we should be in the low 70's by next weekend. I get to ride in the Rattlesnake and Wildlife Festival parade this Saturday, representing the City of Bellville. That's always fun. None of the council members ever want to join me, so Bernie rides with me, since he's Bellville's most famous resident. My son usually rides, too, but he's working at the festival this year.

My family is finally back form the weekend mission trip. Jacob has a bad cold as a result of working in the cold, but he'll be ok. I'm just glad they're home!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Breathe--of course that goes without saying! Be yourself, be honest (If you don't know, say so.), and let your sense of humor show through!

Not much to do today. A bit of laundry, some cleaning.
Working on a cake for this Saturday (butterflies and an angel)
Have the annual meeting to go to at church tonight, so it will be a long one.
and of course the ever popular hanging out here!

Interview tomorrow, so I have been doing research on that to make sure I know the answer to any possible questions they might ask. Anyone have any tips that may help?

I got a globe one year, too. But the best were those encyclopedias and they came right at the start of school the year before I started. So I had a lot of time for reading! The thing about Childcraft were the books were geared to children. I think I left some in my classroom. If I recall, didn't they have a book on crafts, too? I think I will check those out and make sure that if the new teacher does not want them, she lets me know.

So I'm not the only child who read World Book & Childcraft? My mother still makes fun of me for asking for a globe for Christmas one year when I was a child...

Brad I hope Jacob feels better soon !! I am glad your family is back. I bet you were lonely without them xo

I would be concerned if you never corrected her, anyone who loves their pet knows if you want them to be well trained you have to discipline and correct from time to time.
She will get over it and so will you! Keep up the loving!!!

I know it's necessary but gosh, when any of them, especially Hermione because she is so "droopy" looking, look at me with those sad eyes, I just melt inside....Hard to keep a straight face with her too. But I will do what's necessary !!! xoxo
