Take care of yourself, Made!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here with a high in the upper 40's and sunny. I have a lot of cleaning to do today and then I have to pay the bills. Fun. My head is still pretty stuffed up too. So I may say forget the cleaning and take some more cold pills and go back to sleep. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a safe trip, MGRamsey. If I were there with you and your family, I would stop by Lineberger's and have some green shrimp, hushpuppies, cole slaw, french fries, tartar sauce, and sweet tea!

Good morning all. It is high school baseball day today. We have a doubleheader starting at 4. The snow has melted in the valleys but the mountains are still covered. A baseball field surrounded by snow covered moutains is an awesome sight.

We have had wonderful spring weather but warmer weather is coming for Easter weekend. We will be taking the 3 hour drive tomorrow evening to see my parents for Easter. There will be no snow there. I'm looking forward to the sunrise service where we will sing the old hymn "Christ the Lord is Risen Today!" It is a great time of celebrating the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Have a blessed day everyone.

Hubby is always saying that he doesn't need hi-tech stuff.

Same here. He hasn't mastered the basic cellphone or MP3s, but he borrowed my iPad the other night when we were watching a movie to look up the cast list on IMDB. As little as I know, I'm the tech in our house!

!!! Explain "green shrimp," please ... must be better than it sounds!

No surprise there, CM3. We know you can do it! What made the exam burtal?

The questions this time around were more in depth and it sounded like there could have been more than one correct answer when In reality that was not the case !! xoxo

Thank you, Snowflake. I just checked them out and will download them as soon as my phone finishes charging. Thanks for the heads-up!

I'll let CAH answer that, but just wanted to let you know about two great apps that have to do with coupons/deals. Red Laser & Retail Me Not. You can find awesome deals on them!!

Praying for your co-worker and his family right now, Xmas. I was just reading an article last night on Patrick Swayze who had stage IV pancreatic cancer. He lived for two years after that diagnosis even though his doctors had given him only a few weeks to live. When asked how Patrick managed to outlive his prognosis for so long, his wife said that he "refused to accept limitations. Cancer wasn't going to tell him how to live his life." She also said they had lots of mini-miracles, like responding well to a clinical trial and experimental chemotherapy. She also said that when that stopped working, he had success with other chemos, and when other problems presented themselves, they seemed to be a way to fix them. Then she said, "Or maybe it was that so many people were praying for him. It just seemed like angels were watching over us." Your friend is so young to have to deal with this, but then, cancer is no respecter of persons!

This is such a great post, Seawaters. A positive attitude I believe is so important......The people who really deserve Cancer are not the ones who get it, it seems.

I can relate! I used to be up on things but over the past 5 years, I find myself getting burned out on and falling behind all the latest gadgets, gizmos and such. Let's put it to you this way, my son has a smart phone; he calls mine a dumb phone... That's because my phone is a flip style phone. lol

Thanks, Snowflake. I am looking forward to seeing your list. When we get back home, i will compare/contrast it with mine and let you know of any differences. Just before we left home, I received the Claymation DVD with three shows: the Christmas one, the Easter one, and the Halloween one. Have you seen those? They always make me laugh out loud!

Absolutely!

...it's just an alphabetized list, including all movies that have to do w/ any holiday. Mostly Christmas, but some Halloween/Fall movies, etc.

I wonder if I'm able to attach a Word doc.? Anybody know? If not, I'll just copy & paste.

I will post a list later, when I can get onto my desktop ;)

P.S. Harlowe is sending some hugs & kisses back!! Xo

You're welcome :)

I'll appreciate hearing any differences. We may remind each other of movies we really liked but never bought, or suggest new movies to see!

I don't think I've seen the Claymation DVD...is that what it's called?
Now I'm curious!!

good evening everyone...time for me to say goodnight...have a fantastic christmassy afternoon/evening....:sparkle:

Green shrimp refers to a breed of Gulf shrimp. It is larger than Calabash and smaller than jumbo and has a greenish line down it's back. (Before being cooked, that line is removed.). At Lineberger's, it is fried without the tail (and head, too) and is so, so tasty. Lineberger's food is out of this world. They have a FB page, and you can also find out info online. I used to work there as a cashier when I was a freshman at Gaston College.

I will be back on MMC tomorrow morning. I am going to take a nap, and then everyone will be back home soon after. I might drive around town tomorrow after I learn the alarm code so I can get back into the house! TTYT unless I have a chance to get on later tonight!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's really been a busy week at work, but it make the day go by fast. I left a bit early yesterday to watch my son's track meet at school. Boy, it's still pretty chilly outside. Since the school is in Bellville, I get to drive my golf cart to the games and drive right up to the field. That way I have a padded seat without having to carry a chair and set it up!

Better get back to it. I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

You could always have a sign that says "Get your picture with the mayor in his golf cart." cheesy
