Thank you, mgramsey. I really am. I missed it here for many years, and love being back. I am going to take Harlowe for a walk & enjoy it She is itching to get out there & play!

I just hope my parents can still come.

We now have a winter storm warning, heavy snow, and they're concerned about the power lines & possible power outages.

If it's too dangerous for my parents to travel, Harlowe & I will just turn on the fireplace & watch a Christmas movie.

I know some folks don't like it but for me this has been a great spring. Winter was a disappointment but the snow we had in early spring and the mostly below normal temps we have had are wonderful. Hopefully this trend holds. A summer where the temp never reached 80 would be heaven.

Good morning everyone!

I hope you all had a great time at the 'Pines yesterday. Carl sure pulled out all the stops for the first day of May! Today should be an eventful day. It's my final full-day at work. Tomorrow is half-day due to a physio appointment. I like a few of the people that I work with, but I'm ready to move on. Glad to have the opportunity to start a brand new position right away on Monday. Having no downtime and a constant income is exactly what I need.

Today is also forecasted to be the warmest day of the week. Temperatures should reach about 25c/77f. Beautiful weather! The long range forecast has Ottawa with sunny skies until after the following weekend. I doubt that will happen, but it looks great! The trees are either beginning to bud or have leaves make their first appearance of the year and Spring has finally arrived in Canada's capital.

Not many plans for today. I haven't been to the gym since Monday - due to my birthday and acupuncture yesterday. I think I will have to return for a little bit today, although I will not be able to do any leg exercises. I'm trying to ensure that I receive the full benefit of acupuncture. As for tomorrow, I don't know if I will be able to get into the gym either since my dad should be arriving around 3 PM. We'll see how it goes!

Well, I should get to work. I have a bit of things that need to be cleared from my desk. I don't know how much time I will have to work tomorrow, so I should really make sure I don't leave anything behind.

Thank you! The headache went away, but I've had "brain fog" all day. I'll try to relax this evening. We were on the go all yesterday evening. We got our cellphones and plan updated, but the provider's space at the mall is a glorified kiosk---so we had to stand while looking at phones, discussing plans, shopping for accessories, etc. Didn't get home until about 9:30 or 10.

Ooh, me too!!! I love that movie and the soundtrack as well. My kids used to watch that one endlessly when they were little and I believe the songs were etched into my brain. I can hear them now; "Everybody wants to be a cat, because a cat's the only cat who knows where it's at. Everybody's pickin' up on that feline beat, cause everything else is obsolete...."

Wishing your father a quick recovery and all of you peace.

Good morning everyone. Sorry I didn't get to post anything last night, it was kind of hectic around here. My father has been having pain in one of his legs for a couple of days and it got worse yesterday so he went in to see his doctor. After running a couple of tests the doctor decided he wanted him to go straight in to a hospital in the city where he would be able to see a specialist. I don't have all the details because as of last night they were still waiting for more test results. All I know is he has some kind of blockage and is having a procedure done this morning. My mom and brother are taking a ride back in to the city to be there. As soon as they get more information they are going to call me. His doctor here was very concerned about how bad the circulation was in that leg. So if you could please send up a quick prayer for my daddy I would really appreciate it xo

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I spent the afternoon yesterday cutting grass and shuttling the kids to and from church. At least I got the front and back yards cut. Now I have to cut the pecan orchard. I call it an orchard; it's just 6 very large pecan trees, but I love it. Especially when I finally get all the weeds out of the St. Augustine grass beneath them. I know pride is seldom a good thing, but I'm proud of my lawn in the pecans when it all finally comes together. LOL

I saw this on the weather and instantly thought about you! isn't that amazing for May!!! I hope you enjoy it surely this has to be the last snow for yall!! In just 4 to5 months you could be getting it again!

Just sitting back and relaxing watching The Bad News Bears: Breaking Training, it is not as good as the original. It is 75*f bright and sunny, though I am jealous of all that snow you are getting Snowflake. I've got to finish up my laundry, and tidy up a little.

I can't believe it is warmer in Massachusetts than is Southern Ga but today is one of those rare days ! We are 65F and did not get out of the 60's today with cloudy wet conditions! I like neat things like that! Glad you had good weather today it was perfect for a day off!

Good afternoon all! I am about to warm up dinner...grilled sausage and inions and peppers and cabbage. And grilled hamburgers... I loves my red meat and pork! It was a dreary day here and will be tomorrow and Saturday which perfectly fits my mood here lately so it's all good! I hope everyone is having a good mid spring day! We are almost there at Friday! Brandi has 2 weeks and 1 day left of teaching. we are getting down to the wire...This Saturday is the Spring Graduation for the local University here which drawls a lot of people to town..it's hard to think there summer is already beginning with the weather so cool here! but it is...well have a good evening everyone I will probably be back after I eat sometime tonight!

Oh, what a relief it is!!

Hello everyone. Not much is new here. I'm almost all the way done with school! Friday should be it, and I'm going to celebrate this weekend! I didn't want to attend the ceremony (boring, even if I am one of the ones graduating), so my family is throwing me a little get-together at my favorite BBQ place. I am going to celebrate big time. I'm eating very healthy this week, but Saturday will be my cheat day. I mean I'm going to go on one heck of a BBQ bender! :???:The amount of ribs and hot links I will consume at that place will possibly make women turn away and cause children to cry. It will not be for the faint of heart!

Okay, sorry...just a little excited, if you can't tell. Ready for this school to be over and the fun summer to start.

I hope you all are having a great week! I might show up to the Pines tonight and start my bender a little early...

Had a rough day and a half, must have took the bad bug that was going round.. and all i can say is i wood not wish it on anyone
I think i got it outta the hospital as 2 others that was up with me have it to. last night i swore i was gonna die lol but its hard to kill a bad thing as they say over there :-D
Feel a lot better this evening i just hope my uncle does not take it as hes 73 and its sore on older people. so am cleaning everything with bleach and sprays ~} am even scared to give the dogs a treat and birds fruit
Weather is nice today a odd shower now and then. but think the rain is due back tomorrow

Another Wednesday night of work ahead of me, but the payoff is the day off tomorrow. Watching Spaceballs now, I wanted to watch something Christmassy but it's hard to turn down a Mel Brooks classic. My Bruins start their playoff run tonight, once again I am hoping for a long run from them.
