Adrian & I took her for a walk this afternoon, and I noticed something on her leg when we got back...:/
It was a tick...
I freaked out!! Luckily, I got it before it had embedded itself. Talk about adrenaline rush. She is on Frontline Plus, so it should've died soon anyways, but still. Scary.

We didn't even go anywhere in the woods, but she did go near the edge.

I bought my Mom a nice spring outfit and sandals and a new charm for her bracelet. She loves to drink tea and I found a cute little teapot charm. I hope she likes everything!
I hope the swelling in you face is better Seawaters, and I hope you can get some rest tonight. Still praying for your son!



Molly and Maggie are also on Frontline, but I still would have been scared too. I'm happy you found the tick and Harlowe is alright xo

Good evening!
Had a great day at work. Codes are coming easier, still have trouble with a few but will study them this weekend.
Also they forgot to let me go for lunch! Went on my 15 min break at 10:00 and then did not get lunch until 2:30. That put me back on the the till at 3pm to go home at 4pm. Our union rep was more upset about this than I was, bless her heart. She is going to talk to the boss and make sure breaks are given when they should be given. What a change from my last job where a person was expected to keep working no matter what and breaks were pretty much non existent.
But, that said, I love my job!

I did not sleep well again last night. I finally fell asleep after 3:30 a.m. and I woke up at 6 a.m. I have been working all day on organizing the TV room and will soon be finished. My goal is to complete it before we leave for Disneyland. I am leaving in a few minutes to go have my nails done, so when I get back, I will have to be careful! The swelling in my face is slowly receding, so maybe I will look halfway human before we leave. When I get back this afternoon, I will continue working until I am finished. I have already done three loads of laundry and will soon do some ironing. THEN I will relax!!! TTYL

Praying you will be able to rest well tonight...(((HUGS)))

Why do we want to clean and organize so much before we go on vacation? I do the same thing, just told my kids that everything had to be cleaned and neat and tidy before we leave for Vermont on June 1st. Maybe it is because we feel like we really earned our vacation this way?

Ironing? I think I still have an iron and an ironing board somewhere. Remember spray on starch? Is it still available? I used to do my dads shirt colors with it all the time.

I always say it's because I don't want to come home to a messy house. If it's nice and clean, you don't have to worry about getting anything done when you get home and your vacation is just a little bit longer.

I always say it's because I don't want to come home to a messy house. If it's nice and clean, you don't have to worry about getting anything done when you get home and your vacation is just a little bit longer.

That's how I feel, too.

As is, you'll have to unpack & do tons of laundry when you get home.

Its Friday!!!! Today I have a goal and that is to be off the cane and be able to walk without any assistance. The knee is healing up well and soon I'll be back to doing the can-can again; lol... (Yea, that would be a sight!!!)...

And to boot, I'm off at noon today, a double yea!!!

Here's hoping that the only cane you will need is a candy cane!!!!

Good evening!
I got to spend a lot of time with my father today. What a difference a day makes! He could barely stand up yesterday. Today he went to physical therapy and did everything they asked him to. He is struggling but I pray that he has the strength to keep pushing himself. The doctor also ran tests to see if anything else might be wrong but the results were all normal! I hope he continues to improve, I can't wait to see him tomorrow.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, it means so much to me!
