In for the night watching hockey. It's chilly here in Ottawa tonight. I shouldn't complain, however. My facebook feed has been filled all day with friends and family complaining about the weather back in my hometown of Sault Ste. Marie. Yep. They're complaining about the snow that they have been receiving throughout the day. It's still falling, too! Just think, May 11th and there is snow. We're currently in double digits/lower 50s and the Sault is hovering around the freezing mark. I truly feel for them.

Once again, though, that's the weather and you just have to accept it. I hope everyone has been enjoying themselves tonight.

Good evening everyone! and Happy Mother's day too! We have had a busy week with me working overtime. I just have 2 more weeks and brandi has 2 weeks too then we move in about 4 weeks! Just wanted to hop in and say hi! Once we get settled in Utah I will be around more! I hope everyone is doing good and I miss yall!

Yep, that's right. In 2 hours and 15 minutes, Wifey receiver her doctorate....I've been walking around the house all morning, talking in my bugs bunny voice sayin...ag, what's up doc?

Had quite a exciting week! my sister in law gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on thursday! they have named her Evie! Also last night I went to a baby shower for a work friend who is leaving us soon to go on maternity leave, was a fantastic night!!

Hey all! Busy week! A quick update on my mom. The day she got home from the hospital she felt terrible from the lack of sleep and nausea but the next day she felt so awesome she was trying to do chores around the house, laundry, changing the sheets on her bed and more in her wheelchair when she was suppose to stay in bed with her leg elevated! She has one of those external fixators on her leg, a big bulky thing she has to deal with for 4-6 weeks. There is NO REASON for her to do chores or cook! The whole time I was growing up my dad always shared that responsibility and NEVER expected my mom to do all that. My dad seems to love waiting on her too! She was doing all this while my dad and I were out running errands for her so we were not aware that she was misbehaving, she's a rebel! Ha ha. We got a call from her and she was bleeding and swelling at the surgery site. My dad rushed home, called the doctor and she was told to get to bed! They told her to stay there but my mom just cannot be still! She is good now. She told me she doesn't like ordering my dad around. I convinced her that he likes waiting on her. He has always been that kind of husband anyway, he LOVES doing things for her. I know what I witnessed with my mom and dad growing up, nothing but love! That is why they have been married for nearly 50 years! I also told her to call Wayne and I anytime and we will be right over if she needed us.

I am very behind on the forums. I hope I haven't missed any big news. We got a lot to do today so I will try to catch up on here sometime.

Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers! My mom thanks you too!

Good morning everyone in my MMC life... We have been having thunderstorms and rain here since late last night and it's humid and threating to rain again, but it's supposed to cool down later tonight.

I awoke to the sound of ladders being put up against the side of my house this morning. We had signed a contract for a contractor to remove and put a new crown on the top of my fireplace about a month ago and they didn't call to say they would be here this morning, glad I decided to be at the house here this morning....

We decided to put our house of 14 years up for sale! So, we have had contractors here for the past two weeks working on the back deck and addition, we are having new granite countertops installed, making sure the fireplace is in tip top shape and we are landscaping our yard as well (IE, my brother and his company). So as they say, we are turning and burning....

We are looking for a house as well, so we are doing that while also looking to sell my grandfathers house to boot and we will have him move in with us so that we (I) can continue to take care of his needs...

Now under half a week away from from the 50 percant marker to the Season!
So near, yet so fa.....no.....just so near!

Another nice warm one here yesterday with a brief hard late afternoon rain to freshen things.
Should be a bit cooler today but still nice and sunny.
We have started off at 62 degrees here this morning.
