I hope that all you moms out there has had a wonderful Mothers Day! Lisa decided to put off Mothers Day and celebrate it on another day due to both of our kids are away from home. My daughter will be home from school this Tuesday, but my son won't be home from the boot camp (Air Force) until sometime around the end of June/ beginning of July. We may even delay celebrating Fathers Day as well when it comes around.

We may do this Mother/ Fathers day all in one day when both of our children are home, and then we will all be together again!

I think I told y'all that I have not been sleeping well at night. I still could not sleep last night either (third or fourth night in a row) so I got up and set up the ironing board and iron and ironed all my new clothes and Hubby's clothes for our trip. Later this morning, we made a quick dash to Wal-Mart. I ended up buying a hat to wear at Disneyland, some slippers, an over-sized bag that I will use as a book bag, AND I bought four MORE new outfits! Again, I am spending money "like I got it," LOL!!! Tomorrow, I will finish my organizing of the TV room and some scrapbooking stuff, wash all the bed linens, and finish last-minute cleaning so we will return from vacation to a clean house. I will still have time to rest and relax before heading out to Anaheim Tuesday morning. We are leaving for Chico in a bit to pick up some last-minute stuff for our trip. I have my list all ready. We will be having a special Mother's Day dinner before returning home. I want to make sure to charge all our phones and computer-related "stuff" and have time to watch TV before bed. Have a great rest-of-the-afternoon and I will TTYL. I hope all the moms are having a great day!!!

We had a busy day today, visited my inlaws, came home and mowed that lawn and then put dinner on the grill.

Getting ready to watch game 6 of the Bruins vs Maple Leafs series. Go Bruins!!!!

I just looked at the weather channel and it appears that the cooler weather that they were hollering about is starting to come into the area. Get this, this just issued a frost/ freeze warning for tomorrow night where they said the temps. could possibly get down into the upper 20's! WOW... all those people that already planted the vegetable gardens and also just went out and bought all the flowers and such to plant already. They better either bring them in for the night or cover them up...

Me, I heeded my grandfathers advice, "wait until after the first week of May boy, until you plant any summer crops in the garden. We can always get a frost into the middle of May"...) Boy, talk about nailing it. You just cannot beat the wisdom of time and experience, can you! I love him!!!!

He will turn 95 in September and today he say's to me, boy, I think I'm starting to slow down just a bit...." lol, he kills me! I hope and pray that I grow up to be just like him at 95.....

It's great that you still have him! The older I get, them more I see that I didn't know as much as I thought I did...and daddy & granddaddy knew more!

This sounds really good. I wonder if they would taste good with chocolate chips in them? I think I am going to bake those orange/white chocolate chip cookies tonight so we can have some to snack (snake) on in the car on our way to Disneyland!

Hey friends!!

Hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday!!

I'm having fun with my Mom & Dad, and as always, there's lots going on here =]

After a very nice brunch, we came back to hang out here at their house. My sister, Shannon, and niece, Alyssa were here as well. Within a few minutes, my nephew Bill stopped by & brought my sister & Mom flowers. How sweet was that?! He's my sister's 24 year old stepson, but she practically raised him, my BIL had full custody. Then, Adrian showed up to spend some time with my Mom- very unexpected & thoughtful!! He had been at his parents @ 45 miles away. So, we just visited & I played with Alyssa & then we decided to all take a walk. Next, My Aunt Mary showed up out of the blue to wish us a Happy Mother's Day! It was like Grand Central Station!! After our walk, Shani & Alyssa left, and our neighbor & good family friend, Rich, stopped by to say hello. LOL. What a day!! We just finished a late supper, and we're all exhausted.

Going to watch some tv & crash soon.

well,, we have a new pastor, 96% yes vote ! I was very impressed with him and his family and excited to know he will be coming to be our senior pastor.

and....Toronto beat Boston!!!!!! Way to go Toronto!!

It's was a long day of cooking here. We had planned on going out for dinner but my mom and sister have colds after the concert the other night. So I ended up making Lasagna, breadsticks, and a salad for everyone. Then I made a pineapple upside down cake for dessert. It was pretty good. Now I'm wore out and getting ready to head to bed. My son and his girlfriend's family will be leaving within the next few days from Maryland for Phoenix. The movers are coming tomorrow and Joshua and Missy will be leaving Tuesday to drive to St. Louis to visit his dad and then on to Phoenix. He has plans to stop in Amarillo and eat at that steak house where the dinner is free if you can eat the 96 oz. steak!!! I think he will be paying for his dinner!
