My granddaughter just came over looked at the dog and said, "Let's name her, Pillow Fight or Shoe"! Ha ha!

My brother is named Mark too! =)

When I was in grade school I had a cat named Shoe - she was such a sweet natured cat. cheesy

Good morning, MMC!

Busy day for me today so I had best get doing. Have a MERRY day and please, be safe!!!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm still heartbroken over the losses in Moore, OK, but also thankful that our friend Ryan and his family are safe. Lord, bless all those children taken yesterday. I can't imagine.

I'm planning to work through lunch today, then go with the family to Statesboro for Jacob's guitar lesson, then Wal-Mart.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Thank heaven---they've been able to lower the casualty numbers for the tornado: 24 killed, 7 of whom were children. It's still a tragedy, of course, but it's good to hear that there were fewer lost than originally supposed.

News story

Good morning everyone. Thank you all so much for the prayers and well wishes. We are thanking God this morning that we are safe. We have friends and family who lost everything...but some good news was shared last night and into this morning:

A family we are friends with who live across the street from Plaza Towers (the school on the news) is safe and accounted for. Their home is gone, but their family is together!

My wife's cousin lost his house, but his family is safe!

One of my best friends lost his home (he was out of town at the time) but his sons made it out in time and are safe!

A friend that my wife taught with could not locate her two boys for most of last night, but we got word about 8:00 or so that they were found in the hospital and are expected to make it!

The line of folks just wanting to help is literally a mile long in places!

We finally heard from my grandma and her husband and they are safe! They rode it out in their storm shelter and it missed their house by under half a mile, but they're all good! We were very worried as we could not get a hold of them and could not get into that area to check.

Okay...enough for now...but wanted to report there is good news coming out of all this! My wife is very shaken up, and I think my kids are too. Thanks again for all the prayers!

Good Morning! Our new little family member is sitting next to me and really want's to type something on my laptop, she keeps putting her paws on the keys. She's smart to like MMC!

You all are coming up with cute names! I like the name, Curly Sue! Track suggested a Beatles name and for now I just realized I am temporarily using a Beatles name until I come up with a permanent one, the song, "Girl"! Yep, "Come here, Girl", "Ready for lunch, Girl"?

How about Lucky? She is so lucky that you saved her :-D

Good morning, friends~

Happy Tuesday!!

We had some loud thunderstorms throughout the night, they kept Har & I up for a bit. She did much better with them! She still was very alert, and unnerved, but just moved closer to me & planted herself in between my legs & rested her head on my stomach. That's progress.

So, I am a little sleepy once again =]
But, only because I'm a light sleeper!!

How are you guys today?

I am going to have some coffee, take Harlowe for a walk, and then hop in the shower & get ready for my lunch date. Hopefully, the storms will hold off for my mini road trip.

Thoughts & prayers going out to our friends in Oklahoma.

Take care, and have a blessed day, friends.
xx

Glad to hear that your friends and family are okay. Still praying for all of you.

Hello everyone.
I walked the dogs this morning after the girls left for school and then I ran to the supermarket for a few things. I am back home now and have started my chores. Just taking a coffee break.
It is going to be warm and sunny today, with a high of 75 and a chance of a thunderstorm later. My daugher has an appointment to have her haircut after school. And later this evening I have a mandatory prom meeting to go to at the high school.
I spoke with my father this morning and he is doing well. He went out for a walk today. He had to use a cane, but said he did good. He is making progress.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

I always loved the Lennon song "Dear Prudence" from the White Album. It was written to Mia Farrow's sister. Prudence would be a nice name for the new family member.

Nothing wrong with "Girl." After all, "Lassie" means "girl," and Lassie did all right with that name!

I don't think there is anything wrong with it either. I call our cat Bentley "boy" all the time. My husband calls him "son", because that is as close as he is going to get to having one cheesy

We are thankful to Jesus that your family and friends are safe. This was another reminder to me just how precious each day is and not to take family/friends for granted.

We will continue to pray for y'all.

My boss just came to me and asked me if I wanted to go to an outdoor seminar (under a tent) at a place called Andy Nelson's from 3-5 on the 29th. Hmmmm, that's a tough question; let me get this straight, free pit beef, turkey, ham, barbecue, corn bread, sides, etc... while being paid/ on the clock, on a Wednesday afternoon, hmmmmm decisions, decisions, decisions....
Well duhhhhhh!!!!! OH YES!!!! Where do I sign????

Hmmmm, I forgot to ask "what's the catch?" :-? or maybe, "what does he want????":o

Well my sister finally heard back about the official results of my niece's echo cardiogram. The tech was right. She has 2 murmur's and a secundum atrial septal defect. So basically there is a hole between the upper 2 chambers of her heart and there is blood going back and forth between the 2 chambers. They got her into the cardiologist Friday afternoon to see what the next step is.

Seawaters- how is your son doing?

Yes! I love that song and even thought of that name. The story is interesting but then I will think of that story and it's not fitting to my overly friendly dog. Mia Farrow's sister hid out and would not socialize with anyone on their adventure in India so John wrote that song about her, "Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play"? I guess in my dogs case, she would come out to play! Ahh! Probably wouldn't matter about the story behind it so I am still considering that name! cheesy

Such a scary thing to think of heart problems. My son and Wayne have mitral valve prolapse and are fine but I still hate that they have it.

I will be praying for her!
