I couldn't get into here also and got a message as well yesterday evening for a little bit. I backed out and then went back into MMC and then it worked fine....

There must have been an update posting to the site or something.

Wish I had a suggestion, hope you are feeling better this morning Christmasstar.

When I get a feeling like that in my legs, I sit in a really hot bath for about 30-45 minutes trying to soak it and getting those muscles to relax and stretch out a bit. It really works for me.:-D
Thanks, I used a hot water bottle on it and that helped, still a bit sore this morning but better.

My Penny is that way, she is 3 years old now and still looks and acts like a kitten, always tearing around the house and pouncing on poor Abby.LOL

This is how Bentley is, he just turned one. He is so hyper, he also pounces on my other animals. I feel bad for my dogs. I was hoping that he was going to calm down soon!

This is great, I love seeing her in the plays, she is so talented. She and her husband Peter Mansbridge live here in Stratford.

I find that often the days when I have nothing planned end up the busiest!
Sounds like exciting times at your house, have fun!!!

That does seem to be the way it goes. I thought I didn't have anything going on this morning but my husband forgot to tell me he had someone coming here to work on our alarm system. It hasn't been working since he started all of the construction in the house. So there goes my morning, lol.

Good morning all! Busy busy. Contract changed at work and so did my shift. Sheesh! James does not like change heh. Going out tomorrow evening with the guys. Should be fun. I have not seen Christmas at stores for a while. Hopefully will be soon! Carl gave me a bunch of extra Christmas lights last night! He told me to string them all up for Christmas in July! hehe. Crazy Carl. Today is a fall like cool day. How can you NOT like it?! Hopefully with the tax return we can get a nice deck on the back of our house. We have been waiting for years to do so. Sorry about all this randomness haha, its just flowing out of my brain today! Hope everyone is doing well. I have been downloading Christmas movies/music to stock up. Anyone know where I can buy the movie Battle of the Bulbs in Canada? Its on the american itunes store only. Well hope you all have a merry day! See ya later!

He's one clever camel!

Ever try Virgil's root beer? It used to be made in the next town over from us, until it was bought out by a company in California.

Look at this...Carl even had a cold root beer and a frosty mug waiting on me!

Hello everyone!
I am hoping this alarm guy finishes up quickly. I don't have too much planned for today, I was just looking forward to some peace and quiet. Whenever there is a stranger in the house my dogs won't stop barking. They are driving me crazy. I can't believe such little dogs can make so much noise.
It is going to be cloudy today with scattered showers and storms. And a high of 70 degrees.
My youngest has an appointment for a physical right after school. And my middle one is scheduled to work this evening but I don't think she will have to go in because of the weather. She is a hostess at a waterfront restaurant. Most of the seating is outside so they won't open when the weather is bad. The restaurant is actually only open in the Spring and Summer. So she will have to pick up another job in the Fall and Winter. That is perfect timing for all of those seasonal holiday jobs so there shouldn't be a problem.
Anyway, I hope everyone is feeling great and has a wonderful day!!!

Who ever once said pickle juice gets rid of a leg cramp, you are so wrong! All it did for me was make me feel sick, and I still have a crampy leg,,,,, any other suggestions?

Leg cramps are the worst, especially when they catapult you out of bed from a sound sleep.

Seawaters, was it you with the pickle juice? Would Gatorade have some of the same "active ingredients" as the pickle juice, without the ick factor?

I can't vouch for anything foolproof, but I know a few remedies/preventatives.

I've heard that some tonic water (you can get it with the "mixers" in the soda section of the supermarket---look for quinine in the ingredients) will help to prevent or relieve leg cramps, but warning: it's BITTER. You could throw some juice or fruit-flavored syrup in with it. In the U.S. you used to be able to get leg-cramp tablets with quinine without a prescription, but they put a stop to that. Can you get quinine in Canada?

I've also heard that rubbing the cramp with a dry bar of soap will relieve it. There's no good reason for this to work, but I've done it many times after a cramp and have only gotten a second cramp once. Some swear that if you sleep with a dry bar of soap at your feet you'll never get a leg cramp. That sounds awfully optimistic to me.

It's Thursday ... :-)

They're forecasting chilly (mid-50s), wet weather for the Memorial Day weekend. I was hoping for warm and sunny ... we've had plenty of chilly, damp, gray days lately. I guess instead of grilling I should make gingerbread cookies to be in tune with the weather.

I was thinking of putting up lights this year for Christmas in July. I get to make an announcement in Church for operation Christmas child in July!
My neighbor just now was taking down her Christmas decorations she had on her front steps.

on the bright side, it is good they bark when strangers are in the house, that is what you want them to do.
Hope they finish soon so you can enjoy the rest of your day!
