I am trying, CAH. We have to go out of town, go to a meeting, spend the night, and then return home tomorrow. I will be glad to feel some energy. Thanks for your thoughts.

I hope you feel better today, Seawaters!

I am afraid to ask: What are mountain pies?

Good morning, friends! How are you all doing? All is well here! Just relaxing this am, after a very busy and tired day. I am caught up and ready to go though!

Happy Belated Memorial Day! How was your day yesterday? Mine was lovely! Lots of family time. I of course had to work Sunday night until yesterday morning. I got home around 8, I did some cooking, then had to have EA at parade line-up around 9:30 for baton. We marched in the parade, which she did a fabulous job. She's so cute. She doesn't do much of the routine yet - he instructor says she does it well during practice, but then during the parades, she pays attention to more what is going on around her. You don't blame her at all, only being 3. It's so cute! For any of you who are friends with me on Facebook, I posted a picture of her!

We had a picnic then after that. It was a blessed day. My mom and dad, sister and her boyfriend came. We had wonderful food and fellowship. DH made a fire later on. Around 5, I starting nodding off. The fire was making me sleepy. We were planning on doing hot dogs, mountain pies, that kind of thing, but I was really getting tired and I think the kids were too. I stayed up until around 7 and just couldn't do it anymore. I came in and did a few things around the house and hit the sack. I got up this morning around 7:30. I haven't slept that long, oh, since I can remember! Probably when I've only been sick, but I needed it.

Today, EA has preschool and we just have a lot of running around to do here later on. DS will be with us, so it will be a nice day!

Well, I am off to read some of the Countdown. I hope you're all doing well and you enjoyed the holiday yesterday. Have a great day and talk to you all later. God Bless and keep smiling!

Good morning everyone! Where did our 3 day weekend go???

I had this really wonderful Idea that I would stain my new back deck this past Saturday, which then continued into all day Sunday which then extended into half a day yestrerday... 20 hours later and I'm still not 100% done yet, Ugggh I still have some touch ups to do and some more cutting in yet in places. Moral of the story... TREX is the way to go!

Saturday night, we received a call from our son (5 minutes only) but it was a really nice surprise; (he's in his 4th week in boot camp, Air Force), he's doing really well and he said he really misses us. He said he has learned that by being there, he now has learned to appreciate all the things that we have ever done for him in the past... "We were hoping that that would happen", I believe he needed and got a reality check, lol...

Well, my countdown clock has officially started for the start of our vacation (Universal Studios/ Sea World, Orlando FL). Ahhhhh yes, 10 days in sunny Florida... I'm ready now!!!

I hear you on the temps. I absolutely hate the hot weather. It is cool again here today, so I can't really complain. I am sure I will enjoy it when I feel better. So I will be here to whine right along with you! Do you have enough pencils sharpened for those stories?

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be hot here in central Indy this week so be prepared to hear me whining for a few days. Just remind me that I only have to get to the weekend. Then the high's will go back to being in the mid 70's for a few days. Not much going on here today. I opened my bedroom closet this morning and had an avalanche of winter clothes fall off the shelfs and on to me, so I guess I'll spend some time getting them all packed away. I also expect my buddy to show up so I will spend the afternoon getting more stories for my movie. Actually I think im working on the sequel now. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still trying to decide which stain to use on the deck I built last year! that TREX is good stuff, I used it on my front porch, but it's too expensive to use on my pool deck...it's too big!

We love Universal and SeaWorld, too, but this year it's 10 days in the Smoky Mountains. Ahhhhh, indeed! cheesy

Glad your son is doing well. Thank him again for his service!

Have a great time with your cousins, Snowflake. Do they know Harlowe?

Good morning, MMC!!

It's a dreary day again, here. Cool, rainy, windy, and a high of 67 degrees.

It looks like rain just about every day this week. Darn, I was hoping for some deck time.

We had a quiet Memorial Day- Adrian wasn't feeling well, so we lounged around the house. We ate well, though! We had grilled pork chops, loaded baked potatoes, and green beans. It rained & stormed most of the day.

How was your holiday?

I need to go grocery shopping today or tomorrow, study, and prepare for my cousins that come on Friday. So excited!!

Have a wonderful & blessed day, friends!!

OK, Made, you are on notice!

I'm just saying "Watch your step!" And if you're not careful, this bad boy may join in...

Anyone who knows anything about dog breeds knows the Wheaten Terrier cannot be completely domesticated. It's like living with a wolf...you don't turn your back, that's for sure!

In other words, don't make the tag team of Happy and Harlowe come for you!

For some reason, I have not felt well at all today. I have been so sleepy and spent most of the day napping. So did Hubby. CAH, I loved the Sir Paul videos. Even Hubby stopped and listened and watched! He was amazed you could video there! I told him I had friends in high places!

I see you are feeling a little better today - hopefully as the day goes on, you are feeling better & better!

Have a Terrific Tuesday and a Perfect 'Pines Day Eve, Friends!

Just seeing "Pines Day Eve" makes me smile!!!

It sounds like you had a great holiday! It must have been in the air yesterday...I fell asleep around 8:45 last night trying to watch a movie! And I slept until 7 this morning! I never fall asleep that early & I didn't even get up to walk this morning! Geesh!

This cracked me up!! Such a vicious dog breed!

Happy Tuesday everyone. This is a big day in Christmas history. On this day in 1942, Bing Crosby first recorded "White Christmas" for the movie "Holiday Inn', (great movie).

My mom is back in the hospital with more complications from her cancer. She has been there since Wednesday. Not sure when she will get to come home. It is not looking good.

Nasty hot weather is now here. We are looking at highs of 81-82 the rest of this week. Still looking forward to vacation 6/26 - 7/4. Once that is over, I'm ready for fall.

Have a blessed day everyone.

Sending prayers up for your Mom!! Thanks for the history lesson today. Very cool!

I hope you all had an wonderful Memorial Weekend. I can't believe it's all over & June is knocking on the door....

I have and love both these movies.

Good morning,

Doing my usual Wednesday routine, (whining and crying about not wanting to go to work) even though it's Tuesday. Have my monthly inventory tonight, you know how hard it is to stand in a -10*f freezer counting everything, I do thats why I have someone else count that. cheesy I do it also, but your fingertips freeze trying to write with a pencil.
Just finishing up "The Night They Saved Christmas" now, started it last Wednesday, and finally have the time to watch the rest of it now. I want to set up my tree now. cheesy I really need to get this DVD, along with Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas, those will be the next Christmas DVD's I add to my collection.

I need to start getting things ready for work.

ttyl

Keeping you and your mom in my thoughts and prayers. I, too, am ready for fall. I wish we would have a fluke cool summer! Take care, friend.

How wonderful for you to hear from your son. It is good that he learned some valuable lessons from you! And he has finally acknowledged them! Have fun on vacation!

I have some packing to do, and then we will head out for Yreka. I hope to get my energy back along the way! I will try to get back online this evening after the meeting, if I can stay awake. TTYL

Don't try to become "Mr. Cellophane" on us, Made. What would we do without you? Please don't entertain that thought again.

That is LC's favorite character, Little Critter, he has quite a few of those books, including that one. He loves him.

Little Critters was my son, Seth's favorite too. I think we had every 1 of them. his favorites were, Shopping w/ Mommy, the little sister 1, & the daddy 1. can't recall the titles, hmm
