Good evening,

Yes, I do have vacation brain, it took a few hours to get moving at work. I have to be back bright and early and here it is the crack of midnight. My wife and I were learning how to use her new phone, and stayed up later than planned.

I hope you all had a great day.

Good night all.

Goodnight, Everyone!!

Thinking of you & sending smiles and hugs, friend.

Thank you!

awesome!
I will actually have some time to go to the pines tonight.
Life has been very busy here and so not even time to do more than just say hello and good bye.
Hope you are all well. I am fine expect for my knee, it decided to go for a walk without me and is still sore as a result. It does not like stairs, so I have not been in the staff lunch room all week since it is up a very long set of stairs. Walking around is OK, but not bending. Anyway, that is my whine for the day, have to go. Working 8:30 to 4 today.
Have a great day.

Oh dear so sorry to read about your hurt knee. I hope you are not in to much discomfort and your knee heals soon.

Hi Sam! We are off to a cool start here this morning too. I just got back from my morning walk and it is a pleasure to have these temperatures.
I have been thinking about decorating for Fall a lot lately. I usually begin when the girls go back to school. But I have all of this construction work going on in the house so I'm not sure if I'm even going to pull the decorations out. We'll see what happens. I love your wreath idea!
I hope you feel better soon and have a wonderful day.
Sending hugs and prayers your way!

Thanks HMG. I understand about the construction work! It can be so stressful , I hope it will be over before the start of the christmas season atleast. Glad to hear you are having some cooler temps. We are also back to cool weather although they say the warmth may return later this week. I'm not complaining, warmth and sunshine is so rare here lol!

Good chilly morning!!! Hope you are all having a great HuMp Day/Pines Day/Milestone Day!! SO much to celebrate!!

It has been a busy week. Hubby is on vacation. He moved everything out of our spare bedroom upstairs on Monday, ripped up the carpet, yesterday he wiped down the walls & painted the ceiling. Last night he got a couple walls painted. Hoping to finish the painting before we leave for the weekend on Friday!

Monday night I picked a 5 gallon bucket full of tomatoes & got them all washed up & made some fesh salsa! Last night I ran the rest of them through the strainer & I have about 11 or 12 qt of juice ready to be boiled & canned! AFTER my hair cut!

Tomorrow is my hubby & my sisters birthday! We are planning to go out to eat at a restaurant/tavern where my nieces boyfriend is singing/playing (guitar) - Friday I'm off work - heading to Put In Bay! Wew! What a week! My brother & his whole family are in Put In Bay now (they come home today) - I have been dog sitting for their Mini Yorkie while they have been gone. She is so sweet!!

Yesterday I rec'd the Taste of Home "Comfort Food, Slow Cooker & Trick or Treat time" - I don't know why I was surprised to see it so soon. It made me smile...but it's bittersweet!!! Made me think of everyone here looking so fwd to fall & cooler temps. Gotta love the comfort foood time of year. Mmmmm!

Hope you are all having a great day!!

Sounds like your hubby is doing a great job on that spare room. I love hearing about everyone's home produce....I love salsa! Have a fun time at the tavern and enjoy the live music .

I came across a recipe online for individual miniature pumpkin pies baked in a muffin tin. I posted it here.

I will have to try making these. We only seem to get pumpkins around October month and even then I think they are just produced for carving as they never seem to have much in them. I wonder if I can substitute it for squash which is very similar to pumpkin......Thanks for sharing the reciepe!

I'm not a big pumpkin pie/pumpkin spice fan myself, but I know a lot of you are!

Good evening, MMC family! How are you all? I am well. Just trying to decide what we're going to do for dinner.

Thank you all for your kind prayers for DH's finger. He seems to be doing fine this evening. He hasn't said a whole lot about it, so I think he's feeling fine.

What are you're plans for this evening? I'm not going to do a whole lot. I plan on just spending time with DH and the kids, taking a nap, and going to work tonight.

Well, it's off to do dinner and spend time with the family. I'll stop back later. Enjoy your evening! God Bless and keep smiling!

Hope your DH's finger heals quickly , must be painful! Have a good night at work! Hope it goes quickly!

Hope your making lots of progress with your website. No plans yet for today. I am already busy with laundry, unloading supermarket delivery, tidying, breakfast and looking after my little ones......my youngest is keeping extra busy lol! It is also grey here today , it brightened up for a few mins but that soon faded away. Have a good day! xx

Good Morning!

We actually made it to the seaside yesterday. It was a grey and dull day and we just made a quick decision to go around mid day. I actually quite like grey misty days at the seaside, it adds a very mysterious, haunting atmosphere set against the ocean.
It's not the kind of beach where you go into the water but the children loved looking for seashells and building sandcastles. I rather enjoyed getting lost in thought listening to the sound of the waves. It really helped to lift my spirits.

While we were walking through the town , I noticed one card shop had some christmas gift bags and cards out!!!!

Well another dismal, rainy day here and I am not sure what our plans are yet.......

I hope you all are having a good week. Weekend almost here again!

I have sat beside the water on these kind of days too and you are so right.
We are planning a day at the lake next week as the weather is supposed to get warm again.
I have been on the lookout for signs of Christmas here, but so far it has only been at our local Christmas store and some at the thrift store.

Good Morning, Fourth Quarter Friends.

Yes, Folks.
In case you missed us yesterday here and at the 'Pines (where Binger found one of the quarters and was overjoyed that
their prize was a 10 pound block of coffee, one of Carl's blends) we passed by the 3/4 Season marker and into the final leg
of our journey back to the Christmas Season.

Days to the Season: 90
Days to Christmas Day: 132

And now Comrades, we look to yet another Milestone.
It's the 2/3 mark to Christmas Day and it arrives a scant ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!
(Wow. These Milestones have been coming and going so quickly of late!)

Ah!!
Such a pleasant turn of the weather yesterday. Lower temps and much reduced humidity.
Will it continue on through the weekend, with no rain?
We shall see -- and hope!
This day before Weekend Eve has begun at a surprisingly chilly 62 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone.

beef cake, super hero in a wheelchair, candy coated marshmallows on a stick, sending rolaty out the door for VBS, muscle multiplication, scrubbing floors....just a few of the things going on in my interesting day today!

Who found the third quarter, and what was the prize?
There was the camel clock, then the 10-pound block of coffee ... was the third quarter found and the prize claimed? Curious! Maybe crafty Carl claimed it for himself.

Good morning all. I am off work today and am going to love every minute of it. We had back to school night last night and the kids got to meet their teachers. The start of the school year is already very emotional. One of the little girls in my wife's class she met last night came to our school from Plaza Towers, which is one of the schools that was hit by the tornado. She was in the class where the seven students were killed. For an adult losing seven friends it would be awful but I cannot imagine how a child would deal with it. She ran up and hugged my wife and I think my wife about broke down right there. I know this will be a hard year for a lot of folks in our school district but we are praying it goes good.
I am going to organize some stuff around the house and then take the kids somewhere fun. Hope everyone has a great day!

A gorgeous day, not a bit like August---cool, low humidity, no haze.

Another plain old workday, nothing special planned. Started working on our Christmas gift/card list yesterday so we can peck away at it between now and the holidays. Started preliminary work on this year's YuleTube. I have a few vacation days left, and I'm trying to figure out just when to schedule them.

Bless her heart, I can't imagine what she's had to deal with. Such a tragic thing for children to have to suffer through. Sending another prayer for them now.
