Wonder how it will look on the fireplace?
Thinking of you & sending smiles and hugs, friend.
An autumn wreath on your door would be beautiful!!
Happy Pines Day & Milestone day to you, too!!!

awesome!
I will actually have some time to go to the pines tonight.
Life has been very busy here and so not even time to do more than just say hello and good bye.
Hope you are all well. I am fine expect for my knee, it decided to go for a walk without me and is still sore as a result. It does not like stairs, so I have not been in the staff lunch room all week since it is up a very long set of stairs. Walking around is OK, but not bending. Anyway, that is my whine for the day, have to go. Working 8:30 to 4 today.
Have a great day.
Hi Sam! We are off to a cool start here this morning too. I just got back from my morning walk and it is a pleasure to have these temperatures.
I have been thinking about decorating for Fall a lot lately. I usually begin when the girls go back to school. But I have all of this construction work going on in the house so I'm not sure if I'm even going to pull the decorations out. We'll see what happens. I love your wreath idea!
I hope you feel better soon and have a wonderful day.
Sending hugs and prayers your way!
Good chilly morning!!! Hope you are all having a great HuMp Day/Pines Day/Milestone Day!! SO much to celebrate!!
It has been a busy week. Hubby is on vacation. He moved everything out of our spare bedroom upstairs on Monday, ripped up the carpet, yesterday he wiped down the walls & painted the ceiling. Last night he got a couple walls painted. Hoping to finish the painting before we leave for the weekend on Friday!
Monday night I picked a 5 gallon bucket full of tomatoes & got them all washed up & made some fesh salsa! Last night I ran the rest of them through the strainer & I have about 11 or 12 qt of juice ready to be boiled & canned! AFTER my hair cut!
Tomorrow is my hubby & my sisters birthday! We are planning to go out to eat at a restaurant/tavern where my nieces boyfriend is singing/playing (guitar) - Friday I'm off work - heading to Put In Bay! Wew! What a week! My brother & his whole family are in Put In Bay now (they come home today) - I have been dog sitting for their Mini Yorkie while they have been gone. She is so sweet!!
Yesterday I rec'd the Taste of Home "Comfort Food, Slow Cooker & Trick or Treat time" - I don't know why I was surprised to see it so soon. It made me smile...but it's bittersweet!!! Made me think of everyone here looking so fwd to fall & cooler temps. Gotta love the comfort foood time of year. Mmmmm!
Hope you are all having a great day!!
I came across a recipe online for individual miniature pumpkin pies baked in a muffin tin. I posted it here.
I will have to try making these. We only seem to get pumpkins around October month and even then I think they are just produced for carving as they never seem to have much in them. I wonder if I can substitute it for squash which is very similar to pumpkin......Thanks for sharing the reciepe!
I'm not a big pumpkin pie/pumpkin spice fan myself, but I know a lot of you are!
Good evening, MMC family! How are you all? I am well. Just trying to decide what we're going to do for dinner.
Thank you all for your kind prayers for DH's finger. He seems to be doing fine this evening. He hasn't said a whole lot about it, so I think he's feeling fine.
What are you're plans for this evening? I'm not going to do a whole lot. I plan on just spending time with DH and the kids, taking a nap, and going to work tonight.
Well, it's off to do dinner and spend time with the family. I'll stop back later. Enjoy your evening! God Bless and keep smiling!
Morning all! Grey morning here, but that's ok by me I'm working all day!, loads more to be done on my website so will be plodding along with that at a slow steady pace!!,what does everybody have planned for today?
yes, it is, how did you guess?!Any relation to Made's neighbor?
I have sat beside the water on these kind of days too and you are so right.Good Morning!
We actually made it to the seaside yesterday. It was a grey and dull day and we just made a quick decision to go around mid day. I actually quite like grey misty days at the seaside, it adds a very mysterious, haunting atmosphere set against the ocean.
It's not the kind of beach where you go into the water but the children loved looking for seashells and building sandcastles. I rather enjoyed getting lost in thought listening to the sound of the waves. It really helped to lift my spirits.
While we were walking through the town , I noticed one card shop had some christmas gift bags and cards out!!!!
Well another dismal, rainy day here and I am not sure what our plans are yet.......
I hope you all are having a good week. Weekend almost here again!

Yes, Folks.
In case you missed us yesterday here and at the 'Pines (where Binger found one of the quarters and was overjoyed that
their prize was a 10 pound block of coffee, one of Carl's blends) we passed by the 3/4 Season marker and into the final leg
of our journey back to the Christmas Season.
Good morning all. I am off work today and am going to love every minute of it. We had back to school night last night and the kids got to meet their teachers. The start of the school year is already very emotional. One of the little girls in my wife's class she met last night came to our school from Plaza Towers, which is one of the schools that was hit by the tornado. She was in the class where the seven students were killed. For an adult losing seven friends it would be awful but I cannot imagine how a child would deal with it. She ran up and hugged my wife and I think my wife about broke down right there. I know this will be a hard year for a lot of folks in our school district but we are praying it goes good.
I am going to organize some stuff around the house and then take the kids somewhere fun. Hope everyone has a great day!
