I'm at work today, wishing I was at home working on my Christmas afghan - I have a lot to do yet & time keeps ticking! 64 days until Thanksgiving & I would like to have it done by then!!!! EEK!!! I'll be making fresh salsa at lunch & maybe if I have a any time after I'll get to "hook" (crochet) a little before I have to come back!!

I am downloading the iOS update on my iPhone now. Anybody else do this already? Thoughts??

I like it and have had no issues. It took about 20 minutes and everything transferred over. As a disclaimer, I am using the iPhone 5. Some of the previous generations of iPhones are having more trouble, from folks I have talked to. So far it's seamless for me. Hope all of you have good luck!

Forgot that one problem, my battery runs down really fast when I am using my phone. When it is just sitting not in use it is fine.

My wife has Windows 8 on her laptop and it is very frustrating for me! She is used to it and it doesn't hither her hut it drives me crazy.

I am feeling alot better today, last night when I went to bed I had already decided I would call out this morning. I will be going in, my paycheck can't afford me not to work, especially with the most wonderful time of the year nearly upon us. I am watching Elf on Encore right now, it is so nice to turn on the TV and see a Christmas movie on. I will be resting until it is time to go.l

I am downloading the iOS update on my iPhone now. Anybody else do this already? Thoughts??

It took 2 hours for my phone to download the new update. now that I am used to it I like it.

I downloaded it last Friday morning, and it took about 45 minutes (on an iPhone 5 bought in May) using Wi-Fi. I'm not a heavy iPhone user, but I haven't noticed much difference in battery usage or other functions. I'm still getting used to iOS7. Not sure I like the New Look, but I'll have to get used to it! I fiddled a little with iTunes Radio last night, and I think I'll like it. As long as the phone and apps will still work, it'll be okay. I haven't updated my iPad yet. It's a little older, and I want to hook it up to the computer to update it and make sure I have time to "babysit" it while it downloads and installs.

I'm fretting over when to have Gloria update her iPad ... if something goes wrong, it'll be hard to help her from 6,000 miles away. And she's been doing so well with it, I hate to shake things up. I wonder if it can wait until next year when we visit her again?

I'm working on a Christmas afghan, too, and it's going awfully slowly. It's a single-crochet ripple, and I forgot how slowly single crochet grows. Now I understand why my mom always made double-crochet ripples!

I just heard from DH, even though everything was confirmed ( on two occassions) the position has fallen through. It's a shame as he turned down an interview for something else last week. Ahhh well these things happen.

I started a bronchitis more than 2 weeks ago.....since I had taken antibiotics in July, my doctor wanted to try to treat it without antibiotics......I went back to see the doc on Tusday and the bronchitis is still there.....so now I take antibiotica.....not too cool......I´m not really feeling bad....just have this urge to caugh and that stuff...kinda tight breathing....so I hope the meds will help.
