Buster is having a good week so far! (again, knocking on wood) - no more throwing up & the cooler temps seem to have helped his allergies. Hopefully since we are warming up a little for a few days, they don't flare up again!! Thanks! I hope Har is still good too?

Friends I am very excited! We had teacher's night at our local McDonalds to raise money for my wife's and my kids' school. Long story short, we saw one if my son's friends from class and he hung out with us. His mom had dropped him off (!) although he did have a plan to ride home with a another mom who was there. Poor guy only had a dollar but some folks made sure he got something to eat.

My son is very excited because he is going to act as an agent of Santa Claus and find out what sort of things this boy likes. Then Santa is going to drop some things off some night as Christmas approaches! My kids are so excited and it is great to see them carrying in the spirit of Saint Nick!

I hope you like it! This is what I made with the sauce. No measurements noted as I eyeballed it. If you have ever made Hamburger Helper, I was going for something along those lines, but so much better tasting:

Pint or so of sauce
Cooked chicken, diced
2/3 box of Meijer multicolored rotini
Enough water to cover
Bring to boil, cover and turn down heat, cook until noodles are al dente.
In the last couple of minutes, add a few ounces of cream cheese. When melted, stir in.
Let sit a few minutes so sauce will thicken.

It was good, but rich as added too much cream cheese. It takes a bit for the sauce to thicken, too.

I'm getting tired of tomatoes - lol. Come winter I know I will appreciate the work I am doing now. Are yours almost done? I have a bushel or so of green tomatoes ripening on top of my freezer and there are still a lot outside!

How many ripen depends on the weather...but with temps in the 80's the next few days, we should be getting some more!! One year I remember picking the last batch of maters on Halloween!! YIKES!

I'm sure Coach is already spoiling her and showing her how great of a dad he is going to be!!!

So glad I was up for the baby announcement - such happy news!!

Today was even busier than yesterday - and I got a lot done, too! Yay! Day off tomorrow, but it is full of errands, a trip to the library, and lunch with my cousin. I might even be able to go to the Mission store - hoping to, anyway!

Good morning, I have not had time to catch up on the posts I have missed since yesterday, hope everyone is ok.

I just heard from DH, even though everything was confirmed ( on two occassions) the position has fallen through. It's a shame as he turned down an interview for something else last week. Ahhh well these things happen.

Anyway , I've got to dash, a 101 things to do and all I really want to do is hide away today....

Smart dog!!!

Good morning everyone!
What an exciting day this is, new baby, milestone, surprise at the pines, wonderful!!
The weather here is going to be quite nice for the next few days, which I like because I have to go to Peterborough this weekend. (about a 4 hour drive from here)
I have to take mom for her regular check up to the surgeon who did her lasre surgery on her eyes. She has glaucoma and is having trouble is her eye pressure being to high. We are praying it has gone down with the new meds. If not he will have to do regular surgery instead.

I am watching Elf on Encore right now, it is so nice to turn on the TV and see a Christmas movie on. I will be resting until it is time to go.

Good morning!
It is going to be another beautiful day. We are in the 50's this morning but it will warm up to 72 degrees. Tomorrow we will stay in the 60's. Its been so pleasant, especially when I go for a walk.
Not too much planned for today. I am going to start my chores when I finish my coffee. I will be going out with my daughter later this afternoon to get some job applications. She is a hostess at a restaurant but it is a seasonal job. The restaurant is on the bay with most of its seating outside. They close during the Fall and Winter. They will only be open for a couple of more weeks so she needs to find something else.
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Have fun with the search! With all the experience under her belt she should be able to find something quickly. A lot of places that cater to the Christmas / New year crowd will be looking for help now.

Snowflake - Glad to hear Har is OK! What a sweetie! I am trying to think how old my nephew Derek would be. How terrible is that?? I'm thinking this was probably his 26th birthday. I don't think he's 27 yet! With 14 of them + another 9 on the hubby's side, it's hard to keep it all straight! :lol: Hard to believe they are that old - my youngest niece (on my side) just turned 21 in March. WTH! The nieces/nephews on hubbys side are much younger - youngest is 2, oldest 20!

Prop a laptop somewhere on the treadmill and walk walk walk while you search for Blossoms! Even standing instead of sitting burns calories, they say.

My crochet has been set aside right now as I get a few other things done. But I do want to make some scarves for my girls for Christmas.

2 hours? WOW! Mine took about 25 minutes. I have only played with it a little, but I think I love it ~ I love new technology!!! :lol: FUN!
