I know everyone is getting tired of it but it always looks so pretty, doesn't it?
We are expecting it to start falling here around midnight.

Yeah, it does look pretty. I'll give you that.

GOOD MORNING!!!!

Stay safe, Holiday!

Thinking about you guys! Stay safe!!

Good luck with the afghan

Stay safe in that snow!!!! (Does anyone else feel like that's all we say anymore?)

Good Luck with the Afghan!! I'm sure it will look great when you are done with it.

It really sucks when a pattern does not work out! Hope you can figure it out. ((((HUGS))))

I hope you don't get all that snow, but if you do, take care! Bummer about the pattern not coming out right ~ I, too, hate when that happens. I'm sure the finished product will be beautiful, as all your work is!

Thanks! Boo for the snow, because I have to stay late tonight working on things that they want done ahead of the snowstorm. Don't know how long they will need me. :-o

As for the afghan, it's a pain, but I know my way around a hook and yarn and I'll whip that pattern into submission! I made one last year using the same pattern and emerged triumphant. Thanks for the encouragement!

Good evening, MMC!

I just finished setting up the chart I need for my research. Tomorrow I get to add up all the figures ~ fun! Hopefully by the time I am done I will see a pattern emerge and can plan from there.

Have a merry evening, everyone!

Scratch that....snow day.

My boss called me and asked what did I think....and I think this...

1. Student safety first....always.
2. Be able to defend your positions with logic and reason, not apologies.

Weather is supposed to move in at 9:00 am, which is way too close to kids being on buses.

I'd rather parents be mad that we kept their kids at home instead of them being mad that we put them at risk.

Anyways...I get to read Christmas related articles for a while! Yes!

Better safe than sorry.
I think that was the right choice, the schools here have either waited too late to cancel or dismiss the kids. My wife got into an accident back in 2007 due to a storm that dropped a very wet snow very quickly, and a number of buses were in fender benders. That same day it took me 4 hours to get home from work, I was 55 miles away

Sorry that happened with your dvd! What a bummer! I hope you get enough snow that you can crochet & be warm while watching the pretty snow coming down! :D I'm hoping to get some work done on Charlie's afghan too! Would like to finish it by the weekend! Eek!!! ENJOY!

Hope you're enjoying the snow and getting some work done on Charlie's blanket.

Good call, Coach!
I sure do miss snow days. These days if I stay home due to weather I have to check my office email every few minutes all day long for incoming jobs. Still, it's warmer and safer than trying to get to the office, so I can't complain.

My work they expect you to make it unless there is a state of emergency. If you get into an accident due to snow, it still isn't an acceptable excuse for missing work. I am already very anxious about my drive tomorrow, especially now they are calling for heavy snow, sleet and freezing rain.

Hope you have a great day, Brad!!!

Krispy-Kreme sounds really good!! I wish we had one on this side of town.

LOL!!! My aunt does the same thing with her fingernails.

We are in Dunkin Donuts territory here, there was few Krispy Kremes not to far away about a decade ago, they didn't last though. To be honest, I did like Dunkin's donuts better than Krispy Kreme's.

Good morning!
I just got back from the supermarket a few minutes ago. I'm going to relax for a few minutes with a cup of hot coffee before I get started on some chores. We have more snow heading our way, it should start around midnight. I'm not sure if it will be enough for a snow day, they are saying it may turn over to a freezing rain by the morning rush. I'd rather have all snow, the freezing rain sounds treacherous. We'll see what happens, they will fine tune the forecast as the day goes on.
My youngest feels like she has a sore throat coming on so I'm going to bring her in to the doctor. I drove her to school today because the side roads are so icy. I'm going to pick her up a little later and bring her straight to her appointment.
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

I hope your youngest is feeling better.

Good Morning, dear friends~

It's a chilly -12 degrees here, hoping to reach 16 degrees today. But, it is also sunny, so I can't complain too much!

Hope you all stay safe & warm today in the snow and ice storms, I'll be keeping you in my thoughts & prayers.

Lots of things to do before work today, so I better get moving! But first, I need some coffee =]

Have a blessed & beautiful day!!

xx

:sparkle:

Hope you're having a great day as well! Stay warm!

They even closed the Dunkin Donuts here right before Christmas. All we have is the supermarkets.
