Good evening to all!

I hope everyone is okey today. :] As I was going through the posts, I've realized majority of you have snow and suddenly I felt very jealous about it. I missed snow a lot! ^^ There was some sleet here on Friday but that was it. Such a shame that people here rarely experience proper wintery weather. :/ Oh well.
For some weird reason, I am very sleepy today. It's only 6 p.m. here right now and I am almost sleeping. I think it happens sometimes, doesn't it? :]
Enjoy your snow everyone and stay warm. Best wishes! <3

Is this the Christmas afghan you worked on last year, the one I also ordered from Herschner's, or is it the reversible afghan?

Neither, it's the Aran Hearts Throw that I posted the link to last week.

I never did pick up that wacko pattern from Herrschner's again from last January. I kept the notes I made of the problems, and sometime I'll buy a fresh batch of yarn and take another whack at it. Instead of following their pattern, I may just take off and improvise. I basically bought their pattern to figure out how to build a ripple onto a row of granny squares turned diamond-wise. The pattern gave me the info I needed to do that, so I can roll my own from there. I didn't really care for their colors, anyway---it's called Mrs. Claus' Granny Ripple, but the colors are burnt orange, peach, off-white, and earthy shades of green. I'd rather do one in real Christmas shades of red and green and white.

Thanks, Buddy!!!

It's really thick out there but I got the sidewalk done and in between all of the cars. The problem is that under all of the snow, is nothing but ice, so as you try to push it, you just slide everywhere.

xx

Stay safe out there.

Bradmac- After 4 rounds of shoveling snow in the wind and cold weather. I'd gladly switch you and shovel dirt in the warm rain!!!!
I bet you would! The sun is starting to peek out now!

I think it's ridiculous that the newscasters are begging people to stay off the roads but the schools are open. It doesn't make sense.
Heading out to the high school in a few minutes, be back in a little bit to catch up here.

That doesn't make any sense. Stay safe.

Good afternoon,

I decided to stay home today, there was too much snow coming down way too fast. We have at least 9 inches out there right now and the sleet freezing rain yet to come. The Governor asked people to stay off the roads, and the fact my road hadn't been plowed in a little while made the decision easy. My life is a little more important than a few pounds of hamburg for the few crazy people who would be out shopping in this mess.

Just taking it easy now before I head out and shovel, it is a heavy wet snow so it will be a long process.

I hope you all are having a good day.

I, too, was disappointed in that color scheme! I went ahead and bought the "real" Christmas colors to do that afghan in. Because I am so behind, I did not see the pattern you posted. I will do a google search!

Happy Hump Day! Happy Pines Day!!! I'm at work, so we didn't get enough snow...or enough blowing. I'm not sure which. But boooo! We definitely had to dig out this morning. I got here about 45 min late. Everybody did. UPS started late today too, so that gave my hubby a little extra time to dig us & neighbors out.

Hope you are all having a great (snowy) day! I'm hoping to get a chance to read through some posts!!!

Good afternoon, MMC!

I hope everyone is doing well!

Ended up getting close to 6 inches of snow late last night and into this afternoon. For some reason I woke up around 3 this morning and could not fall back asleep so I watched the snow fall ~ so pretty! When the outdoor light hit the flakes just right they looked like diamonds falling from the sky. At other times the flakes looked like cotton balls. Kind of dragging today so it is a good thing that I didn't have to be anywhere. Working on inputting 5 years of sales into an Excel file ~ going fairly smooth considering I am learning how to use the program as I go along. Fun stuff!

Have a merry afternoon!

Happy Pines Day!

Do you get snow in Australia during your winter season?

We do but it doesn't last and is not as frequent nor deep as your snow. The tourist areas even have to make snow to extend skiing. I can drive about 2 hours and hit some dirty snow on the side of roads and further still the ground might be white but because it's not deep the foliage beneath is dangerous, like spears if you sled on it.

Good evening to all!
