Slow day customer-wise at work today but the day flew by.



No word on the possible new car yet, but it really wasn't looking good last night, just hoping to be surprised at this point.



I did score something huge though. I have acquired a copy of an uncut version of "A Muppet Family Christmas." I got it on Ebay for $21, that has been my "holy grail" of Christmas DVD's for a few years now and it finally was at a reasonable price and grabbed it. I watched a few minutes of it after I opened it, and it brought back so many memories. That has made my day.

Well my Dr finally called in a z pack and I picked up some Benadryl to help with the sleep and conjestion too. So I am hoping to get a good night rest, I went ahead a called in sick for tomorrow so I guess the weekend has started for me. Brandi fixed some great potato soup by my moms recipe and it brought back so many memories of being sick when I was a kid my mother always made that and it just makes you feel better instantly! Just wanted to tell everyone good night and I will talk to yall in the morning!

Hope you are resting comfortably, dawg. Take it easy today.

I'm like a guard dog when answering the door. Sales people stand there holding pamphlets out to me and I hold the screen door locked and ask them to leave them on the table for me to get later. Paranoid much!!!! Just heard too many stories and I was always home alone with toddlers... don't cross a mum!!! Even the census guy was put out when I said we had to sit on the verandah and no I wouldn't tell him anything about my family!

I do the same. Have to protect ourselves.

Man, I typed out a long post last night and guess I forgot to press send! Dang!

Tomorrow is Friday and I sure am ready for it. My Dad is getting to come home from his job for a week and we are all going to catch up. Mom is making his favorite meal and I'm making his favorite dessert. Haven't seen him since Dec. 26th, so I'm ready for this visit. He is going to be surprised at how much Little Bambina has grown!

Well, it's 10:00 and I stayed up way too late last night.....so I am not going to make that mistake again tonight. See y'all tomorrow!

Well the day is slowly dragging by but I am watching ID channel for hours on end today watching that channel always makes me thankful that I have never known anyone or had a family member murdered. I watch it for the mystery of seeing who the killer is. And on our package that is all we get except the news channels which I refuse to watch and hallmark which I also refuse to watch unless it's Nov-Jan. Not much else going on today but rain. Not even really a cold rain, maybe a cool raink it's 50F outside.Very warm for this time of year. Have a great midday everyone!

I watch this channel a lot too...some of the stories on there are unreal!

LOL I watch this channel to! Mainly the show Disappeared.

Good afternoon MMC! Happy Friday Eve! Woo Hoo! I've got another hour until quitting time! Ready to go home & crank up the furnace!!!
We had some "excitement" around here yesterday. There was an armed robbery about 5 miles from our house - it was at a friends of ours parents house. Someone knocked on their door & his Dad answered the door, a young guy pushed his way in, pulled a gun & told them he needed a vehicle. Our friend was there on the computer so Dad called for his son & the guy pulled a knife on him. He led them out into their building where the pick up truck was made them lay down, told them if they turn him in, he will be out of jail in 15 years or less & he would be back!
About a month ago our neighbors truck was stolen from the park across the street from our house. He had his truck running while he was walking his dog in the park (at night) & someone drove off with his truck. They found his truck 2 weeks later in Cincinnati, at a Walmart parking lot where the snow plow driver is the only person who noticed it had been sitting there for 2 weeks, the only things missing were his gum & change. surveillance cameras show the guy getting out of the truck, he went into Walmart, & someone picked him up 1 1/2 hours later. WEIRD! Stuff like this doesn't happen around here so everyone is FREAKED OUT! I made Jim go out with Gracie in the middle of the night cuz I was spooked! I hate it! Obviously the guy yesterday wasn't worried about them recognizing him (everybody knows everybody here) so where are these people coming from??? They need to go away! UGH! The Sheriff thinks the 2 incidents are related - hopefully they catch them soon!!!!!
My co-worker & his wife (who are also friends of ours & huge dog lovers) are coming over tonight to see Gracie. Looking forward to it! Hope you are all having a great Thursday!!!

Not feeling well at all today. We had to go to Chico and I was uncomfortable all the way over and all the way back. I still have the bathroom "issues" and a new problem presented itself last night. It feels like it might be kidney stones or something similar. Hubby is taking me to the doctor first thing tomorrow morning (7:15), so maybe we can get this figured out. Right now, I am so nauseous; but I am also starving! I think I will see if I feel well enough to click "share" on some FB recipes. I am trying to take my mind off the pain. TTYT

I hope you are seen by the doctor today and can get some relief. Praying for your recovery. Look after yourself SW.

Merry morning! Friday is here again. It is incredible to think we are welcoming the month of March tomorrow! This morning when I logged into MMC I got a nice little lift seeing the countdown this morning was at 299. It made me smile.

Good morning!
It's chilly out! We are currently at 9 degrees but will have a high of 21 today. They still aren't giving us too much information on the storm that's heading our way Sunday. This morning they called it a potential significant storm. I guess I'll have to stay tuned.
My oldest came home from work last night and said she had an ear ache. I don't know what's going on with her. She'll have to run to the doctor after her classes this morning. She has an appointment with an ENT, but that isn't until the end of March. I can't wait until she sees the specialist.
Not a lot going on today, typical day of errands and chores for me. I'm going to finish up a grocery list and head to the butcher. And maybe more prom dress shopping with my daughter after school.
