Good morning,


I think I will be going to work soon, LC's home sick today and I am still waiting to hear from my wife to see if she will be coming home early to watch him or I am staying home today. He woke up with a fever of 101.4, headache, and very congested. I wouldn't mind staying home, but my boss would just write me up for it. No such thing as family sick time there. :-?

If I am going in, I will be home earlier than usual, I am only scheduled until 8pm.

That is very sad that you cannot be with your son! The owner at my job insisted one time that I go home when my dog was sick! I just asked if I could call home and check on him because my son was home. My dog was improving so I stayed but it was very nice of them to offer that. It's a shame more jobs are not more understanding!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, sort of...

I chipped a tooth a couple months ago, and today I have to go get a filling. I haven't had a filling since I was a kid. And I don't mind telling you, the though of that drill give me the heebie-jeebies. I'll have to stop by the house on the way to the dentist and get my big-boy pants.

Made, you'll appreciate that I fiberglassed the floorboard of the Camaro last Saturday. The big problem with older cars is rust, and the floors had little rust holes all over. Anyway, they're sealed with fiberglass, and this week I'm spraying the floor with rubberized undercoating. Then insulation, then carpet. It's nice to be getting something done on it for a change.

I am due to have my bi annual dentist appointment in a few weeks and I have already started freaking out. Good luck today. I hope it's over quickly. Don't worry it's always worse than you think it will be! ( feel free to throw these words back at me in a few weeks time LOL)

I'm going to head out to Target after I finish my cup of coffee, I have a list of things that we need. My youngest has a doctor appointment after school and I have lots of chores to do. I also need to get on that darn treadmill again at some point today.

I walked on the treadmill for half an hour. I listened to my music and it wasn't too bad. I hope to increase the time eventually. And I hope I learn to love it!!

Have you ever tried the Leslie Sansone walking dvd's? I like them better than the treadmill. Time seems to go faster & shakes it up a bit!

It was a busy afternoon at the office, but I had enough time to walk around the block twice after lunch. Nice, sunny day, about 50F---I even saw an ice cream truck roll by! This is the first time this year I could feel any warmth at all from the sun. Maybe spring is actually on the way!

Sounds like a nice attitude adjustment!

And he's actually an award-winning bodybuilder, too. He could snap me in half like a twig.

We did not make it to Frankenmuth as her cable and phone went out yesterday and we had to wait around for the repairman to show up today. It was fun hanging out. We exchanged Christmas presents, too!

It was gorgeous out yesterday, today it was way too cold! Going to get colder and there are rain showers and possible snow showers in the forecast for the rest of the week. At least it didn't rain while I was out and about today!

Thanks so much Meceka! It is a very tough thing! I always figured he would quit eating, or start to fall down trying to do his duty, but so far the old guy is standing strong for that. Just wish I could take about 10 years off his life & make him 8 again! Lol!

Sorry you didn't make it to Frankenmuth, but it sounds like you made the best out of a "waiting" situation! Sounds fun!!! Glad you had a nice day - sorry to hear about the cold/rain/snow moving back in! Will it ever end??

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It's a rainy dreary day here in Central Indy with a high in the mid 50's predicted. I had plans to sleep in this morning to make up for some of that sleep I've lost over the last couple of weeks but mom woke me up before she left for work and then my neighbor Bill called and I've been over at his apartment for the last 3 hours. His DIL was trying to figure out the best way to get to the state park I was at last week. She doesn't like interstates so she wanted to go the back way. Then I got talking to her son about boy scouts and sharing all kinds of stories. Now to try and get some stuff done around my apartment. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Everyone wanting Spring - well it has arrived in full force here. I never did mention but the Arboretum is in full bloom which at this time of year they call it, Dallas Bloom Festival.

I don't know why I have not taken a panned out picture of the field full of flowers but I took a few close ups. I have been taking mostly pictures of my grandchildren playing in the children's section. Here is one I took yesterday, I will take more next time. You will see this all over the Arboretum in many different colors. This should put you in the Spring mood!

Hi guys! I feel so out of the loop... gave up Facebook for Lent and haven't popped in for awhile. I had major winter overload for soooo long this year and it put a damper on my out-of-season Christmas spirit. The kids and I read a few Christmas books last night and I feel the spirit sparking a bit again! Hope you all are well.

My mom has a couple of those cds, she likes them. I don't know how to use the dvd player. My husband showed me a couple of times but I keep forgetting!
