Christmas Countdown - 2014

I tried to go for a walk last night. It was FREEZING! I wasn't dressed warm enough. I decided to try my "5k runner" app - the jogging warmed me right up. But that's ridiculous! We should not be this cold May 15/16!!!! :cold: It will probably be 90º in a week. Lol

It's Friday!!! I started the weekend out on a good note, I got to work this morning at 6, and we had a power outage....No power = No Internet, No computers and no work to do.... Got paid to do nothing for 4.5 hours; I liked it, but I'm sure the owners were not...

We got some really huge downpours all night last night and this morning, but it looks like the storms are heading south of us now and things should start to calm down a bit... This evening, I'm heading over to my daughters college and pack her up and bring her home for the summer. Yup, the school year is over for her. This weekend, just planning to just hang around the house, doing odds and ends, chores and such... nothing too exciting!

Seems funny you are talking about prom & graduation invitations yet. Lol! Many schools here are graduating this weekend. Proms are all over. We had a grad party last weekend, 3 this weekend & 4 next weekend & we're done! I hope your daughter finds some earrings! I've never had cheese curds either, but they sound great! Good luck with the invitations. Have a great weekend!!!

The kids are in school here until the end of June, the graduation ceremony is on June 28th. That's crazy how many parties you have. I'd have to get a part time job to afford all those gifts!

LOL!!!!!! She has me hooked on them too now!!!!! I had to go to Culvers the other night after mom's doctor's appointment just to get some!!!!!

They were good but not as good as they are up there!!

I would love to try them. Not sure if anyone has them on Long Island, I'll have to look in to it!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!!!! It's going to be a chilly day here with a high around 50 and rain this afternoon. Not to much going on here today. Like HMG I need to write out a grocery list and head to the grocery store at some point. Don't know if that will be today or tomorrow morning. Depends when the rain moves in. Other than that, I'll just be doing my normal chores while watching all of the nascar coverage today. Will probably do some reading too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We bought tickets for my mom to see Aretha Franklin!!! We will give her the tickets on her birthday. She will be so surprised, she was just talking about Aretha yesterday and how much she wants to see her.

Kandice did not finish in the top 3 of her reading contest.......Which is fine for me....I told her I was proud of how far she came and that I want her to give her best and all is fine......Now she did that......she was very nervous...and hates to lose......little squirrel was crying all the way home

I love it when a day at work goes really fast, but I dislike it when I don't get a chance to catch up with all my Christmas friends! It's a cold/rainy/windy day here. We have a chance of frost tonight. BOOOO! They better be wrong about that!

Enjoy lunch with your hubby today! Great way to kick off the weekend!!! :-D
Tonight we have our nephews graduation party. Tomorrow at noon we are doing a "Rum Run" at the lake. LOL! It's sponsored by a bar about a mile from our trailer. They bus you from the bar to Windy Point & then you walk or run back - about a mile & if you participate, you get a free drink. They just do it for fun - and it WAS fun last year. They have a band playing during & after. We will walk there from our trailers, then walk in the event, then have lunch & our free drink & walk back to the trailer, so we'll get about a 5k in. Sunday we have 2 more graduation parties. EEK! 4 more to go next weekend...

Hello friends. I want to give you a quick update on my dad. First of all, thank you for praying! It means so much to me.

Well, the cancer is about a stage three to stage four and is in his lymph nodes and abdomen. It doesn't look good and docs don't give him a year. Today is his birthday so we are going to throw him a party and make the best of it. If y'all see Carl tell him I need some help planning this event!
