Yay! 6 more months until Christmas!

When I see this posted on social media about 6 more months until Christmas a few are not amused and will say, "Let's have summer first"! They need to remember that they will have summer first, Christmas is not for another 6 months! We are not taking summer away we are just stating a fact about how many months there is until Christmas!

I bought red, white and blue mini lights and put them on my tropical tree. It looks so festive!

I had a looong night last night. One of the two city wells (of course the one on my side of town) stopped running late last night, so I went to check on it again. It's been giving me trouble for more than a week, and the local pump service guy said he couldn't find a problem. Well, I fiddled with it till 2:30am. I finally got the 8 ft. long valve wrench and opened the underground valve that separates the two city wells, so that everyone could have water, even if the pressure was a little lower.

Then I had to get up early to pickup Jacob from his buddy's house, 30 miles away, before I came to work.

*yawn*

And I have a nuclear stress test at 8:30 tomorrow morning, so I can't have any caffeine today...NOOOOOOO!!!!!!

We'll see how long I last today. I hope y'all have a great, or at least a better-than-mine, day today!

Happy Leon Day, MMC!!!!!! The weather is going to be about the same here today. Hot, humid, and storms this afternoon. It's been one of those mornings here so far. The phone just won't stop ringing. No one really wants anything. They are just calling for stupid stuff. Other than that, nothing going on here today. So I may head down to the Pines early. I'm sure that crazy camel will have something for me to help him with tonight and I would like to get it over before the games start. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, we can tell summer is here, it's hot, humid, and ready for a nice thunderstorm. The annual cicadas and mockingbirds are singing away. I'm going to sneak a trip to Rita's for gelato after work, and then I'm going to the craft store to check out the sales. Yay!

Good afternoon!
Another busy day, I can't wait until things slow down around here. I've been running errands all morning. I'm just stopping for a cup of coffee and something to eat. I'm going to work on some chores around the house and then head back out to the mall, I need to buy an outfit for my daughter's graduation party. I can't believe prom is tomorrow. The weather isn't looking so good as of right now, I'm praying that it doesn't rain, that would not be good. The hair, the make-up, those gowns. Fingers crossed that it doesn't!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far!!!

Thanks to everybody for all the prayers! The colonoscopy & the edg went very well yesterday with good news after. There is no cancer. (someone needs to talk to the ER doc for freaking out a room full of 10 people at 1:00 in the morning. Why would she say she thinks it's cancer when she really had no idea?? Grrrr) Anyway - he has a bleeding ulcer & diverticulosis. He is on meds for both. Today they had him up walking. He had to get 2 units of blood today b/c his hemoglobin was low again. They think the ulcer is still "oozing". They are doing a hida scan to check his gall bladder today & speech therapy is coming in to check his swallowing. He's got all kinds of things going on...but thank God it's not cancer! I'm heading up there after work! Hopefully they can get this all under control quickly!!!! We have a big town festival this weekend & he wants some turtle soup. Ha ha ha!! (they told him he could have it if he dilutes it) :smile:

The kids and I are just hanging out on the couch, watching different DVDs - right now we're watching the Charlie Brown holidays. We're currently watching "Charlie Brown Christmas". We're cuddling under a blanket. With the central air on, I can imagine it's winter!

Yay, we are back!!!!! Darn Grinches!!!!!


It's been storming here this afternoon and we had a couple of Tornado's touch down on the west side. Luckily the damage doesn't appear to be to bad.

So glad you all are ok!!!

quiet evening here. Waiting for someone to pick up something and then I am going to cuddle up with a good book and relax.
LittleCS and I have a bunch of work to do listing all the stuff that was wrecked in her apartment. we also have to figure out what is cost when she got it and what it will cost to replace it. Lots of fun!
Switched a shift with someone so now I am working tomorrow instead of on Thursday. It is nice because now I get 2 days in a row off to help get ready for camp.

When we hit certain milestones, I like to think about what we will be doing...

Six months from right now....we will have made it home from Mom's house after having a fabulous meal with our family. Santa will be on his way and we will be putting the little one down....hopes will be high and excitement will fill the air. Doc and I will be getting ready to watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation or Polar Express and after she heads to bed, I will watch The Christmas Carol with Alastair Sims....I love the old ones....

Gets me all excited to remember all the fun we are going to have in the coming months....

I will hopefully be at my parents house at 10:30'ish on Christmas Eve- just finishing up the white elephant type exchange. But if they decide it's just too much for them to handle, there is a chance I will be sitting at my own house, in our new room, just finishing up the white elephant exchange...with 50 of my favorite people! :grin: (but hopefully we can have another year at my parents house. I just love it!!)

Well, no. At least that didn't happen. Today is a different story, however, with a strong likelihood of precipitation.
We begin mid-week at 74 degrees here.

Carl has issued a press release stating in honor of the half way point to Christmas Day being reached tomorrow, ALL merchandise of any kind is half off at the inn.
(I did notice all camel-themed gift shop items are prominently featured in front of every display. Hmmmm.....)
Also, as promised, "Summer Games" will be held at the 'Pines.
Now, what this entails is anyone's guess. All I have been able to confirm for sure is that one of the games is "pin the tail on the camel".
(I can only imagine where it goes from there!)
Regardless, sounds like a visit you don't want to miss.
