Christmas Countdown - 2014

[Holiday]

Thank you! I had a little dinner and made some iced tea and watched TV while I waited for Mr. (who had to work late).

So glad tomorrow's Friday. Looking forward to the weekend. And I have next Friday off. Because of the heavy workload this spring and summer, everyone was allowed to schedule a day off in July. So I'm looking forward to that, too.

I had a video CD of Yogi's... I had to order from the Philippines years ago because there was no DVD of it. Our DvD players now can't play it now so I HAD to get the DVD.

What are your weekend plans?

I am excited for the Keepsake ornament premiere, and will be going to that tomorrow. Then, my parents are coming up for the night. We're taking them out for dinner, and Mom & I plan to do a little window shopping too. And Adrian's friend is coming up on Sunday. So it will be busy! Of course, I plan to continue watching Hallmark. Going to be sad when the Christmas movies stop! At least we only have 3.5 months to wait for them to start up again!

Good morning snowflake!!! Sounds like you have a great weekend planned. Enjoy dinner with your parents & shopping! And I agree - I am not ready for the Christmas movies to be over! So sad! Even though I haven't caught a whole lot of them, I just like having them on in the background & knowing they are on if I want to sit down & watch!
We don't have a lot of plans this weekend. We are heading to the lake. One last weekend of r & r before the real fun begins! (moving bedroom upstairs, emptying cupboards, tearing out cupboards, ripping out soffit, tearing up flooring....ahhhhh) Lol! Have a great weekend!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a warm day here with high's in the mid 80's. It looks like we will see some strong storms over the weekend but I just can't wait until Tuesday when they are showing a high of 74!!! Not to much going on here today. They are coming the apartments replacing all of the rotten wood on the porches and getting them ready for painting. They finally started on our building this morning. So I went out and cleaned everything off of the porch so they don't get stuff all over them. Now I'm working around the house and have the local tv stations on. We had a cop killed last weekend and they are showing his funeral this morning. Then it will be back to Christmas movies and racing this afternoon. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

A bit of rain yesterday afternoon broke the heat and humidity monotony.

Thanks! On my way home from work yesterday I passed 2 utility trucks & I thought "Hmmm, wonder where they are coming from!" HA! It was fixed, but they installed a temporary line that is laying on the ground running from our house all the way through the back yard to the utility box. They told TR (contractor) it could be 4 days or 4 weeks until they trench it in! :-? Lets hope for 4 days - keeping Gracie from trying to chew on it worries me!!! Not cool! But I do have electric! TR & crew were back to working bright & early this morning. They are forming footers & possibly pouring walls today! Fun fun fun!

Glad they got back up for you!!!! Hope they can come back soon to get it trenched.

We had a successful 2-day customer visit (Duke Power, from up in Crown's neck of the woods), but I have a bit of catching up to do now. And lunch with mom, my brother, and the kids.

I'll probably head to the grocery store this afternoon before heading to the lake. Actually, I probably won't head to the lake until the contractors leave - we let our door open for them so they can use our restroom - don't want that open all weekend! Although they would lock up behind them. :smile: We'll see! Other than finishing up some laundry, that's all that I have planned for the day! Ahhhh - so happy it's Friday!

we are now since a few weeks in the US. And we have seen a lot of wonderful places. Met a lot of Family we haven´t seen since so many years. And I met just nice people over here.
While Traveling through the states we found THAT place I will go again to and and I really really would like to live in work in.
