Thank you for all the good wishes!

The checkup went pretty well, except for having put on [mumble] pounds since my last checkup. I blamed just having come back from vacation, plus the birthday cake and ice cream. And for the first time that I can remember, I had a high blood pressure reading. For that, I blame the workweek I've had! Maybe the weekend will take it down a few points.

On the other hand, when I got to work, a couple of co-workers getting on the elevator as I was walking toward the stairwell challenged me to a race to the fourth floor, and I won. (Then again, it's a REALLY slow elevator. cheesy )

Glad the check up went well!!!! Hope you can relax this weekend and unwind a little!!!!!

I like the patchwork pumpkins and the metal cornstalks (in another post) best!

Years ago I picked up a small patchwork turkey at a bargain store---I love that little guy! I should remember to post a picture of it.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a warm day here with high's in the mid 80's. It looks like we will see some strong storms over the weekend but I just can't wait until Tuesday when they are showing a high of 74!!! Not to much going on here today. They are coming the apartments replacing all of the rotten wood on the porches and getting them ready for painting. They finally started on our building this morning. So I went out and cleaned everything off of the porch so they don't get stuff all over them. Now I'm working around the house and have the local tv stations on. We had a cop killed last weekend and they are showing his funeral this morning. Then it will be back to Christmas movies and racing this afternoon. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

That is so sad about our law enforcement getting killed senselessly. Seems to be a common thing around here in my city. Either killed or attempted murder. Just the other day we had 3 set on fire by some idiot! It's terrible when it becomes the norm.

we are now since a few weeks in the US. And we have seen a lot of wonderful places. Met a lot of Family we haven´t seen since so many years. And I met just nice people over here.
While Traveling through the states we found THAT place I will go again to and and I really really would like to live in work in.

Oh nice! My husband and I went to Santa Claus, Indiana a few years ago. It was so cool!!!

Oh my word!! Going to be so in trouble this Harvest season!!

Yes it is. He was the 3rd one in the state of Indiana in a week. The other 2 were just north of here.

I have actually enjoyed the summer temps so far with it staying right around 90 degrees for the high. Today will be up to 98 and in the triple digits for the next several days. I am not too happy when all I did was walk outside to water a few plants, just took a few minutes, and dripping with sweat! That should be illegal!!! Ha! Boy that just made me mad! Okay, rant over, I feel better now. No time to whine about silly stuff. (But I did anyway) :lol: Count my blessings, count my blessings, count my blessings!!!

It's all good because it will go back down to 90 degrees by Tuesday then in the 80's Wednesday!!! That is very rare! Usually once it hits triple digits we don't get any relief for months.

I don't have any special plans (yet). I'm just glad to be home and enjoying some quiet and catching up with everyone's news. Kinda wish I had a little wine in the house. Very seldom do I drink alcohol, but this week a glass of wine wouldn't be out of place.

I know everyone's pining for fall, but me … I'm really enjoying the summer weather. After spending the day in an over-cooled office, I like going outside and feeling the heat. And I certainly enjoy seeing the sunshine and having the daylight linger, so there's still some sunshine left when I get home. Fall and winter will be fine when they get here, but right now I'm in no hurry for them. Maybe because I was a July baby. It's odd that I love Christmastime, but weather-wise summer is my favorite season.

I have a check-up in the morning. Bad timing! I can imagine what the scale will say, right after vacation and a birthday!

I'm right there with you - I could truly live by the ocean!
