Crown, my Dad owned one of these, a 1970 or '71 I believe. Only his was dark blue with a white top. For a 'Dad car' , it was pretty cool! Would fit right in with hairstyle No. 1, wouldn't it?

Big hair, cars and groovy tunes baby!
Enjoy your day, whatever comes your way..

That's a 1970 model in your photo.
Mine isn't quite that exotic - just a run-of-the mill 1994 Cutlass Ciera sedan. But I've kept it in good condition and installed a set of chrome vent shades (like I did on the Crown Vic).

Morning Everybody! :hi: Happy Hump Day!! It's a sunny Ohio day! We're only supposed to have a high of 39º, but it sure is nice to see the sunshine...2 days in a row!! :D

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Good Morning..almost afternoon everyone. Beautiful day here today too. The sun is shining but a bit cooler today than yesterday. Half way through the work week. I just got back from volunteering some time at the local thrift store. Now it's almost time to go get DD for lunch. Hope everyone has a good day!

Morning to all! Its 3:47 am, got hit with insomnia lately. lol. Hope you all are having a great day wherever you are!

I forgot to mention in my post this morning that on my way to work today I wasn't crazy about the song on the radio, so I thought I would see what disc was in the cd player...I hit play & guess what???? It was Perry Como Christmas!! My all time favorite! :D So I listened to a little Christmas music today! But I also started taking my snowmen decorations down at lunch. It's time....time for Spring!!

I hung clothes out on the line at lunch! That's the 1st time this year I have been able to do that! I have spring fever so bad!!! Even the dog wouldn't come back inside when I came back to work after lunch. He was basking in the sun!!

Those hairstyles are the real deal.. almosta s real as Crown.. who as we know... dreams in techni-color.....

YABBA!

Put the top down on that 1970 and let the hair fly.. ok here's the plan" Cedar ( wearing the Dusty Wig) putst he top down-drives to NYC and picks up Jay.. who dances a paus du lux while getting in the car.. they sing classic Strawberry Alarm Clock ( Incense and Peppermint) enroute to Norfolk.. where I enter the vehicle with 19 thermos of coffee.... ( one to share...the others to hold me till we get to the NC border)- we travel to NC and pick up Crown after leaning on their buzzer at home waking them from their afternoon nap/pre dinner nap/ we continue driving while I compose a sequel to Keroac " On the road.."

oh oh YABBA!

Morning all!

Thursday is here already, which means the weekend is just a stones throw away!

Hope you all have a good day!

Scoobie

Here's a useless bit of info for you... the countdown last year (which was started on 23rd July and the last post was on 3rd January) had a total of 1957 posts in 164 days

We are speeding along at day 73 of the countdown and only 2 days from the 1/3 marker, and already have 1189 postings (or 1190 by the time I post this one). This works out to about 12 posts per day last year, and we are now on 16 posts per day now.... the question is, can we keep it up??

I have noticed over the last few days the numbers of posts in this thread has gone down a little bit... are we on the verge of the 'quiet season'??

Scoobie

nooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! we don't want peace and quiet around here, we want lot's of noise and good cheer!

Scoobie, I had noticed the posting rate was faster this year and was planning to do a calculation. Thanks for your interest and saving me the trouble. We are indeed moving along more quickly this year on route to an all-time posting record(?)

Days to the Season: 245
Days to Christmas Day 287.
"Yaaah Hoo, We are Down to Two" (to our 1/3 Season marker, that is!)

Forty for the morning commute with lots of beautiful sunshine.
Could pass 70 this afternoon.
Spring feels like it's here but it isn't - they predict cold weather just in time for the weekend.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, boys and girls!

Ah! Perry Como - one of my top Christmas singers, too!
I suppose you know he admired Bing Crosby and intentionally imitated his style. Both had such wonderfully mellow, smooth voices - crooners personified.
(How different from the "screamers" we have to listen to today)

I have to say that there are alot of screamers that I actually really enjoy but there is nothing like the crooners...Bing, Perry, Frank, Dean...They just don't make 'em like that anymore...

By the way...I'd like to thank Binger in advance for the day I'll spend humming "Incense and Peppermint" to myself...ALL DAY!!! Til I'm ready to go insane...

Sounds great, Bing! (Um, except for the part about leaning on my buzzer, that is).
And another thing - does the car have fold-down seats??

Those hairstyles are the real deal.. almosta s real as Crown..
Hmmm........Are you SURE I'm real?
For that matter, are any of us?
Perhaps we are all just performers in a play......or an opera.
Maybe one day Binger will stop writing and we will all just disapp.........

'Strawberry Alarm Clock', circa 2007!

Hey wait...is that Jay I see in the audience?

Happy Almost Friday!! :D

It's another sunny Ohio day!! That makes 3 in a row!!! What's up with that??? :hello: They were calling for winter conditions for Saturday, but as of this morning, they have changed that! I can be done with snow for the year now! (well, until November/December)

Hopefully we don't have a "quiet" season this year!! But it could be that people are getting spring fever & are able to get outside a little....bout time to get out in them gardens!! Woo Hoo!!

Have a wonderful sunshiney day!!!
