Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's a chilly morning out there and the high today isn't going to be much better. We should only top out around 44 this afternoon. At least it's not raining like yesterday. I've spent the morning running some errands and going to the grocery store. I spent way to much money there too. Oh well though. We have been living off of the pantry and it was getting pretty empty. So I had to restock on the basic things. Now I've got to put it all up. I wanted to stop in here first though. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of shopping, saw the fisrt ad for egg nog on sale yesterday, yum, must go and get some!

The remaining schedule:

Day 4 before the Season (Today ) = Binger
Day 3 before the Season (Nov. 10) = Christmasstar
Day 2 before the Season (Nov. 11) = Xmas 365
Day 1 before the Season (Nov. 12) = Seawaters

And speaking of remaining, there isn't much remaining of our Season count, my Friends. Not much at all.
Behold:
Days to the Season: 4 (BARELY OVER HALF A WEEK!!)
Days to Thanksgiving: 18 (Just over 2 1/2 weeks!)
Days to Christmas Day: 46 (Scarcely over six and a half weeks remain!)

A bedpost, all right.
We are rapidly dwindling down into a bedpost.


Cooler weather persisted yesterday but it was dry and sunny.
A slow warming trend is predicted and we could reach the low 70's by mid week.
We are currently at 46 degrees here.

Oh, no! Hood isn't making vanilla eggnog this year, OR my second favorite, sugar cookie eggnog. Boy, I will miss that vanilla eggnog. The kind Mr. got me for a treat was not Hood---it was made with no eggs, skim milk, carrageenan, and guar gum. Guess I'll make my own with some Torino vanilla syrup. (Which incidentally is wonderful in warm milk!)

they got very little of my favorite in last year so was happy to see it in ads already this year !
We also make our own, like that the best ! I use whole vanilla beans, much richer flavor than extract.

I've been having trouble with tapatalk posting pics too. Hopefully they fix it soon!!

Still not working this morning. Every time I try it fails and says I have to update Tapatalk. When I try to update Tapatalk it doesn't work, I think my phone might be too old (I have an Iphone 4) It's so frustrating that it would just stop working like that. Oh well, I'm probably getting close to being able to upgrade my phone. I'll have to have my hubby check on that.

Hope everyone is having a great day. I'm going to make a brandy and Guinness Xmas pudding today. Has to stand for two weeks in the fridge so I thought I'd get a move on.

It snowed last night

Windows on van frozen , took me ten minutes to scrape it off

It is -1c (30f) this morning , bring it on !!

Love it! We may see some flurries this week, I can't wait!

Kim and I did some Christmas Tree hunting tonight. We are torn between two trees. If anyone has an extra second for input, it would be greatly appreciated!

It's only $100 (down from $200). My real issue that it is only 6.5 feet. I want something that is at least 7 feet.
It also has 350 clear incandescent lights and only 825 tips.

I like this tree:

It is a 7 ½ Ft. Pre-Lit Hartford Tree. 550 clear lights. 1,962 tips. $200 (down from $350).

We're both not doing great in the bank account department, so we might have to settle for the $100 tree. Do you think it's a good buy?!

I prefer a taller tree too. I don't know about the pre-lit though, been hearing about lots of problems with those. Would not be my choice, putting on your own lights gives you so many more options and apparently less headaches.

I still think if stores want to be open Thanksgiving then those who own them should be working and sticky volunteers who actually do not mind working on a holiday can help.
Of course if folks refused to shop then there would be no reason to open the stores at all.

I think the stores should be closed on Thanksgiving. Even if they opened at 12:00am for Black Friday, at least everyone would still be able to spend the holiday with their families and friends. And you're right, I wish people would stay home and not shop on Thanksgiving!

Good evening,

Very, very bad day at work today, in the 7 years that I have been the "turkeymeister" it has never been this bad, tomorrow will probably be even worse. Unfortunately, I am not being negative, just being truthful. We cannot keep up this year.

We went out to Texas Roadhouse for dinner, on the way there we saw at least 3 houses with decorations lit up, including a blowmold Santa, and icicle lights. I am falling behind!!!!

I should head to bed, long day awaits tomorrow.

Happy Sunday!!
What are your plans for the day?
I plan to continue to work on my tree, I got about half of it decorated before my cousin came over, then I spent the rest of the evening catching up with her. And then tonight, watching football. Go Pack, Go!! We are bracing ourselves for the first real snowfall of the year- starting off with a bang! Winter storm warning starts tonight through Tuesday. High winds, dropping temps, blowing & drifting, 8-12 inches expected. Will be gorgeous, but not looking forward to the commutes. The plows aren't too on top of things here. They wait until 3 inches fall to even begin. [emoji301]️ [emoji300]️[emoji301]️[emoji300]️[emoji301]️

I plan on doing some more Christmas shopping today, I have to keep chipping away at it. It was so much easier to shop for the girls when they were younger!
Have fun decorating! I think my husband will be finished with the kitchen in another week or so and then I'll be decorating. I really haven't pulled too much stuff out for the past couple of years with all of the construction going on so I'm super excited!
