Morning all... And Happy St. Patrick's Day. Hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was awesome. Just got my corned beef into the crockpot this morning. And plan to make some soda bread later..never have made it but am looking forward to trying it out. Hope everyone has a good one...

When Irish Eyes Are Smiin'

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Today everyone is Irish. Tomorrow my husband and I will still be Irish and the same can be said for O'Malley the cat.

We're having pork roast with potatoes and green beans for dinner.

I remember the days we ate green potatoes and a few years for brunch the feared Green Eggs & Ham.

And if you're a wine drinker, there really is a green wine - it's from Portugal called Vinho Verde (pronounced "Veen-yo Vair-day"). The color is mainly golden-yellow, but it does have a slightly greenish tinge to it.

I'm off today Crown - so my official start to the work week doesn't begin until tomorrow. Thinking of Chrismtas on St. Patrick's Day is a little nutty, but aren't we all a little bit crazy about Christmas.

Think Green Stay Jolly!

Speaking of green what's that I see around the old tree near the creek and under the fence - okay well it's a little brown, but it has potential to turn green. Ther's still a blanket of snow on the ground though and a dirty snowbank at the edge of the creek. You can hear the ice cracking and there is some murky water gurgling now.

We're expect snow later this week though. Boohoohoo. I want spring to come so I can take some spring pictures.

She is an incredible mouser...but I cringe when I see what she brought to me to share for dinner!!! One time she dragged a red squirrel up to the front porch. cheesy
