Christmas Countdown - 2015

So long, wonderful Spring-like weather. Now it's raining and it won't get over 50°. Blech. Still, it's Friday!

Elizabeth is going with her church youth group to Stone Mountain, GA tonight. There's a snow tubing place (with man-made snow, obviously) up there that they all want to visit. The plan is to camp out in a church in Atlanta, then tube all day tomorrow, then drive home. We'll see what happens, with all this rain.

Mrs. Hilda got another good report from her orthopedic doctor yesterday. I'm going with Nancy to visit her this afternoon.

I realize that he's 22, and he's a big boy, but as his pop, I still worry about him.....

Everyone else is home, it's quiet at the moment, everyone is heading to bed now, but I think I will stay up until Zach gets home.

Praying for Zach, friend. Hope the roads stay warm enough, at least until he gets home safely.

So many people come in and buy pounds and pounds of steak and other meats for these snowstorms, the stuff I would avoid when it comes to possible power outages. I am sure it is because they plan on using a grill to cook it but I would be afraid of spoiling if there were a long power outage.

Picked up my new phone today, got an upgrade for free so thought why not! Switched from the iPhone to a Samsung and so far love it. The much larger screen is great. Now learning to navigate around it. Once 90 days is up it will be unlocked and I can get a sim card for when I am in the states and hopefully save a bundle. Now I can see what is on my phone without a magnifying glass !

Yep, a snowstorm is heading our way, and I do have to work tomorrow, so the driving will be lousy.
