Christmas Countdown - 2015

Were watching Bizarre Foods, and they are having an episode on Bagels. One of the delis that they are filming this episode at specializes in making Bagel, cream cheese and salmon, IE... Lox!

Well I'm bring it up because Zach and I tried it for the first time around Christmas, and we loved it.

Has anyone else here tried it and do you like it? If so, how do you like it?

we have a salmon cream cheese you can buy ready mixed here, had it for years now and I like it.

It's going to be sunny but very cold today, we are currently at 8 degrees. Don't think there's any chance all of that ice will be melting. Hopefully everyone will just take it slow, that's all you can do. Busy day for me, I head back to work this morning. My daughter has a dermatologist appointment after school and I also need to go to the bank and supermarket at some point. I hope everyone is well and has a great day. See you later!

Isaac is finally getting over this virus. He is eating more and even playing a little. Jacob is fully recovered now. My husband however seems to have gotten worse , he's home from work for the rest of the week most likely.

Well, Accuweather is starting to yuck it up a little bit about another clipper that is supposed to come thru our area and then possibly re-develop into another coastal storm... Sorry New Englander's~

Well my niece has bronchitis and a sinus infection. So my sister just brought her back in for her to stay again tonight since she can't go to school again tomorrow.

Well It's a perfect Monday. Work has been a pain, it's 50F with fog and rain, what more is there really!? At least it's moving fast! We are suppose to have rain tonight with low around 39F and rain all day tomorrow with a high of 50 again,then weds we actually hit 60,then it clears up and sunny the rest of the week,until the weekend then rain sat and sun,but no mention of snow yet..but it's still way to early to give up on a decent shot of snow. Well I better get back to work, I hope everyone has a great evening!TTYL!

Howdy all, been spending the evening hanging pictures, spackling old nail holes and doing a little designing/ layout in Vicki's bathroom. I had a close call while trying to hang a 5' x 3' long mirror on the living room. It's pretty heavy (has a large wood frame around it), it's got 2 cables strung across the back of it, while I was in the process of hanging the mirror to the wall anchors that I just installed and all of a sudden, one of the cables snapped in half and the mirror fell. Luckily, I still had one hand on it, and it came within a breath of crashing onto the brand new hardwood floors. Yikes....

I'll have to go to the hardware store tomorrow and buy a new cable. Wow, is the wind howling outside! We must be getting gusts around 50 mph, talk about one wicked wind chill at the moment. Glad I'm inside... Vicki called and said her school lost power because of the high winds, good thing they have a back-up emergency generator...

Lisa and I, are having a quiet evening, we are watching Bizarre Foods and are staying under the covers on the couch...Hope everyone is having a nice evening and staying warm.

WEW! Glad the mirror didn't break. Nobody wants 7 years of bad luck. EEK! Stay safe!!!

Speaking of Valentines, the Charlie Brown Valentines Day special is on February 13 this year.

I'm in the middle of trying to catch up since yesterday, but I'm going to break in here to say GOOD MORNING!! Happy Tuesday!! Bosses are gone this morning. Nobody knows where they went, but hey ~ I'll take it! :-D

The appraiser is coming this morning at 11:30 to re-appraise our house. We were busy cleaning the spare rooms last night. So. Much. Stuff. We still don't have a home for everything, but the rooms are a little more organized anyway! Geez! Soon the room that was our bedroom will be ready to use as an office/sitting room/crochet room/den ~ I hope!

Not much else going on around here today. It's chilly outside, but supposed to get up close to 30º! Better than the 18º we had for a high yesterday!

Nancy and I visited her mom yesterday afternoon, and she's doing better every day! Hopefully, she can come home in the next week or two. Fingers crossed!

Elizabeth still has a sore throat and a bit of fever, so she's at home right now. If she feels better later we'll take her to school, but I doubt that'll happen. :wink:

Working from home one more day … I started out for work this morning, but some of the roads are still snow-coated and I was sliding at stop lights and intersections, so I turned back. I guess I'm a bit of a wimp driving on snow.

I'm going to turn in soon. We all head back to work & school tomorrow. I'm dreading it because I know how icy the roads are going to be in the morning. We ended up getting several more inches of snow late this afternoon. I went out and shoveled three times today, its easier for me to do it that way. I still over did it though, I feel sore already.

Hello everyone.

Well my wife got the flu, but seems to be much better. My daughter has recovered so that's a blessing. I hope I'm not getting it! I feel as if all the energy had been sucked out of me but I don't have a fever. We will see.

Good morning! I'm awake already, why, I have no clue...My eyelids opened up at 3:45 this morning and I cannot fall back to sleep. I don't want to get ready for work yet, because I do not want to wake the wife up before it's time for her to actually get up for work herself.... No sir, that would be like waking up a ma-ma grizzly bear

Ahhh yes the coffee pot just beeped at me, to let me know that the brewing has stopped and a hot, fresh "cup-a-joe" is awaiting for me....

Hope that coffee gave you enough energy to get through the day!!!! Hope you get some snow out of the next system too, xmastidings!!!
