Good afternoon, everyone!

I'm stuck at home today. I had work until yesterday evening. My day was cancelled for some reason. It's unfortunate, but at least I will be working four of five days this week... and I already have Monday booked for next week, too.

Yesterday was quite warm in Canada's Capital. We nearly reached the freezing mark. Today, it is back to being about -20c with the windchill. The good news? The forecast has some plenty of single digit (celsius) temperatures in the near future and then possibly above freezing by Sunday or Monday. March has arrived!

I will probably be heading out in a few moments. I thought I would just stop in. I have to get my haircut and maybe grab a couple things.

I hope everyone has been enjoying their week thus far and having a great Thursday. We're only one day away from the weekend!

Great morning! What is the very first thing that happened to me that was great, that you may be pondering at the moment....Well, pull up an ice block, and I'll tell you!

First thing, I had my noodle head glued to the pillow this morning until 8:30; (Yessssss!!!!).

Second thing, I got up, went straight to the window and it looks like a snowmagedden outside...Yippee....Snow day; uh-huh! Snow day; uh-huh, get your flakes on, get your flakes on......

Third, it's not even 9:30 yet, and the coffee is in hand, feet is propped up and the fire place is on... Ohhhhhh baby, it doesn't get toooo much better than this for a Thursday morning~

Ok, now that I have come down out of the silver lined clouds this morning... I am home all day, (working from home) - the power of this computer aged life that we all live, where the software allows for me to remote log-in to my computer at the office and I can sit here, from the comfort of my home, (in my pj's and bunny slippers ) and work on my engineering drawings, etc... Ahhh Yes!!!!

As, as you can all see my giddiness, It's snowing it's badunk-a-dunk outside and I am in snow heaven at the moment, because later on this evening, I get to go outside and play with my "Big Boy Toy"~

Having worked directly and indirectly with engineers during the first decade-plus of my dubious career, I must say I would relish the sight of an engineer wearing PJs and bunny slippers hard at work! You wouldn't want to post us a selfie, wouldya? cheesy

Anyway, happy that hear that you're enjoying the snowfall and that you have the equipment for doing away with any excess.

If I am working on my/ thru my PC in front of me and yet, at the same time, playing/ Chatting along on my Laptop to the left of me;

Hope your Dad is on the mend and you Mom is ok....sometimes it feels like it pours when it rains!

I have a fitbit too!! It does keep me pretty motivated...what kind of 30 day challenge are you doing? Would love to hear about it!

Nice to hear someone else on here that has the fitbit! cheesy I keep calling it a 30 Day Challenge, but it's actually a Leslie Sansone dvd I bought called "30 Day Slim Down" It has 2 - 30 minute work outs - the 1st one is Cardio walking you do M-W-F & the other is 30 minute toning done on T-Th- Sat & Sunday is a rest day! I really like the walking part, & I like the toning ~ but I don't like to hurt! :lol: (It will get better I'm sure - I've only done the toning once so far so I used muscles I don't normally use so much)

I had to turn on the A/C when I finally got home from jury selections today. It was close to 80° in the house...it's 85° outside right now. Crazy! The high is in the 40's tomorrow. Crazier!

There were only 2 cases that juries needed to be selected for, but it took over four hours. I was passed over twice. Each time the defendant lawyers asked us to tell a little about ourselves, they scribble something down when I told them I was a mayor. Then they cut me both times LOL. They must have been afraid I would side with the law.

I could have taken the rest of the day off, but there's too much work to be done around here at the plant.
