It's pajama pancake day at the preschool. I get to go to work in my jammies and cook pancakes for the kids.

good news is I figured out what caused the allergic reaction because I woke up this morning again with my face hot and red and my left eye all swollen. There is wool fiber in this new pillow case and I am allergic to wool. The fiber content was not in English so it took some looking around t figure out that is was wool not 100% cotton, it was a mix of both. Shows how careful you have to be about imports.

Oof! I'm glad you figured out what was causing it so you can get rid of it.

I'm a slacker, I called out sick for today. Am I sick, well maybe in the head, lol, but health wise, ummmm, no!!! Just woke up, didn't feel like going in today, I'm the same as you except I managed to squeeze in 4 in and out hours... besides, I ran out of work yesterday, so if I take off today, I will have things to do tomorrow when I go in...

Enjoy your "sick" day! You don't need to feel guilty about it since you cleared your desk yesterday.

I hope the insurance thing gets worked out. I found out that I have a 1,500.00 cap per year per person on ours...My out of pocket for the root canal was 250.00. Lord knows how much they will squeeze out of me for the crown portion next Tuesday.... Good Luck!

Wow, that's a reasonable out-of-pocket! I have a feeling I'm not going to get my work done so cheaply. Yeah, my insurance probably has a per-person cap too (no pun intended), but what can I do ... I'll have to get a new crown, too. Hope yours goes well, dental pal-o'-mine.

 

[Holiday]

Snow continues to fall from time to time today, thankfully not accumulating, going to be -2 tonight . I am hunkering down early because my get up and go let me hours ago. Had some kind of allergy attack at work that left me drained. Have no idea what triggered it. So on this chilly night sounds nicer to curl up with a good book .
Have fun at the pines, Carl sent me his brand of allergy pills but they ate 4" long so I will let him keep them. ..but the thought was nice!

Well Folks, I'm going to call it an early night on here so I can knock out a few things I need to get done. Tomorrow is going to be a weird day for me. After a few years of looking for the perfect job, I had to take what I could get. So I start at walmart tomorrow. Eventually I'll be doing overnight stock from 10pm to 7am. I have to start out on first shift though for orientation tomorrow and then a few days of training. So I have to be there at 7am tomorrow morning. Which means that I have to get up at the latest 5:30am and more likely 5am. That's normally when I'm falling asleep. Boo!!! After so many years of doing my own thing with STS though and only seeing my boss twice a year, it's going to be hard to go back to a set schedule with a boss looking over my shoulder all night long. I'll survive though. Hopefully. LOL!!!!

I'll try to check in tomorrow morning if I get up in time but if I don't, I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Well as you can see by my latest most, that yes, I am up and awake!!!! Why, hhhmmmmm, lets see, maybe it had something to do with the fact that my son decided to do laundry at midnight. OH yes,,,what a wonderful sound the dryer makes at 1 am with all the pants in it and the zippers banging around inside the drum; clang, clang, clang fot the last hour, just outside my bedroom door.....

Got up, took 1/2 of an ambian... I'm starting to feel the effects of it alredy!! Making a lot of typing mistakes....

Hope you were able to get more sleep & you aren't too sleepy today! Drink more coffee... Have a great day!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I stopped by Jim's shop yesterday afternoon, planning to fire up the Camaro again. When I told him I wanted to crank it, he said we'd have an audience. Several of the guys from the parts store that we've been using wanted to hear it run, too. LOL! We got a lot of compliments, and one of the guys is an auto body tech. He's offered to help us get the body ready to paint. Nice!

Again, not much going on around here today! I got word that my hubby's cousins wife passed away this morning. :sad: She has been battling brain cancer! So sad! Today is their 10th wedding anniversary too! She hung on long enough to make it to 10 years! Feel so bad for them!

Our mozzarella stuffed chicken breasts were very good last night! They were FILLING! And kind of a pain to put together so not sure I'll make them again - but they were very good!

Good Afternoon!!!! Mother Nature seems to be testing us. We have had our heater off for a couple weeks now and I had to turn it back on this morning and tomorrow morning's low looks to be even colder ....

Anyway my daughter has had to stay after school for a few days this week for Choir practice which means my son has been home with just my mom those afternoon. It also means my son had full access to the TV and radio.. so I come home from work, house windows opended and as soon as I get out of my car I hear it! My son had his Polar Express CD in the radio and had it cranked up so loud I could hear White Christmas very clearly from my driveway:razz: I walk in the house and son is at the dinning room table doing his homework sing along to the CD. I LOVE moments like those!!!

Over the weekend I scored 15 Christmas themed story books, all for $5 at a yard sale. I have my summer reading all ready to go.


Sorry I havent had time to catch up on everyones posts.... It's little league season here so we have been on run with practices and games and now my DH starts his softball games next week too.
